The merchandise is top-of-the-line brands, from shoes to apparel to accessories. There were some brands I had never even heard of here (although my kid said she knew of these lines. I'm thinking specifically of the ON brand of shoes from Switzerland, but there were other brands as well). Super cool running shoes, some futuristic, all state-of-the-art. And lots of name brands I'm familiar with, too. So the product lines offered here run the gamut from mainstream to elite. The price ranges are likewise broad, depending of what you are looking for. (Note: I did see some cool apparel on a sale rack, and these prices were slashed, so I wonder if their running shoes also go on sale at times). What made this store stand out is the expertise of the employees here. They are all serious runners who know their stuff. I appreciate how they won't try to sell you on something that isn't right for you (regardless how much the item might cost). For someone like me (i.e., totally NOT a serious runner! Probably the antithesis of a serious runner. Someone who just aspires to stay upright when crossing any race's finishing line. lol!), I rely on this type of expertise to steer me in the right direction, as there are SO many products out there, I don't know the first thing about what is available in any given year and what would work best for me.

Erik assessed how we both walk and run and fitted us for proper running shoes-- this is something no other footwear store (new balance etc) has ever done for either of us.... dyeing training for the sun run I noticed that I was no longer getting arch or shin pain and I wasn't straining my hamstring (which frequently happened in my old runners) I highly recommend this store to all of our physiotherapy clients as well as personal friends and family. They looked like a pair of shoes the Stray Cats band would wear. I would later on end up buying a pair of patent leather shoes. Not exactly what I was looking for but they were patent leather, which is what I really wanted. After being heavily embarrassed (he made me joke of the year) by a nephew who was rummaging threw my closet years ago & found my 'pointy shoes,' I finally said - I gotta get rid of them. I actually took them to the downtown location, handed them to a sales person & said - they are still new, unworn & I have zero desire for them & then left. I didn't ask for any refund or credit I just wanted them gone like a bad rash! I had contemplated actually handing them over to the founder John Fluevog, who I'd occasionally see downtown. He's hard not to miss - tall & fashionable. Fluevog shoes are occasional - parties, tea party, weddings, costume party, or just plain wanting to stand out - cool like dat - while you're out & about. Keep in mind that these shoes can hurt the feet depending on how long you have them on for. We're not talking Nike Air Max quality but rather firm & solid type wear - so keep that in mind if your feet tend to be on the sensitive side. I mean it's like being on the Strip in Vegas - one is just not going to walk the whole Strip wearing red bottoms ... right!?! Fluevog shoes are classic fashionable wear - so if you're wanting to stand out & make a scene - get here & get stylin'!
