My dog is wiggly and it takes 2 people to do it at home and is usually a stressful ordeal. Not only did she get him done in under 5 minutes, but she had expert precision and trimmed all of his claws evenly without cutting the quicks. She was also caring and soothing with my dog, making him relatively calm. This business has great care and skill. Lots of shaded parking, and many payment options. Will definitely become a repeat customer.

I can no longer support this business which makes me sad because I think the owner is a really good…read moreperson. I had taken my dogs here for boarding for years, but no longer will. It seems like a lot of extra charges now and one of my dogs got hurt there. I know it was an accident because I witnessed her jump up on the park bench in the front waiting area and her leg went through it because there was no cushion on the bench. I ended up having to pay $200 for my vet to look at it and do x rays. Luckily it wasn't broken, but I feel like a simple precaution could have prevented it. Whenever I would pick up my dogs lately, they would be so nervous and acted like the couldn't wait to get out of there. I'm wondering what is going on there that I don't know about. They would also reek when I got them back, so I doubt there is very much cleaning going on there. I really hope they can improve.

A hematoma I believe. I wouldn't know if anything happened at boarding bc I was given no update at all if she played with any dogs, alone etc. photo of her ear below. She's never had anything like this happen before in 2 years. She is seeing a vet soon today is Tuesday 10/22. I asked for 3 days for an update on my foster dogs whom boarded here and once I did get an update it was snarky from Christy the owner (text below) . I've used boarding facilities before & the facility has always been kind and happy to provide an update every couple days & they are very busy facilities as well. When I picked them up besides Lunas allergy medication nothing was removed from their bags as indicated at drop off, their treat balls for their kennels were still full with the same treats and none from the treat bag had been used. At pick up I was handed both wild excited to see me dogs at the same time & they are both very strong dogs, & before I could get spun around with their leashes thinking I would be provided an update Christy had went back into the office. No greeting of hello, goodbye, zilch. There are many boarding facility's to choose from just do your homework before choosing one especially if you need to leave town for 10 days as I did. Dogs seemed fine at pick up overall. This was the 2nd time they've boarded here (my fosters) and my experience prior was similar retaining to communication. I'm out of town for Christmas from 12/24-12/26 and found another wonderful place in lees summit to board my own dogs & fosters. Thank you Suzanne

I ask what type of shampoos they used. The staff acted put out to answer my questions . I noticed my puppy seemed scared after being taken away. I told staff and they pulled her by her leash to a kennel. I told the staff my puppy has separation anxiety and does not like being in a kennel. The staff person said so you just want to come get her right away or what . When I picked up my puppy staff was just as rude and the hair cut my dog got was not good . Her brows are just about completely gone. The did a bad job ! I could go one.. I will not be back.

I texted the number the first afternoon after I dropped my dog off and didn't receive a response until the following day. I again requested picture updates which I was told they would send some, however I never received any during my dogs week long stay. My dog also came home with multiple scabs on all 4 legs and hot spots on his paws and between his back legs. I have boarded my dog at multiple kennels/doggy daycare and he has not come home with these type of scabs and hot spots before which I know can be from stress. The price was the best I had found and convenient location for living south of Olathe which were the positives of his stay.

I understand those are all things a person "expects" when dropping your pet off, but what I think also separates this place from the others is the peaceful country setting, the professional/kind/caring owners (never have seen anyone working there other than Jay/Stacey (owners) (occasionally their children when they lived there)), and the fact that once we start getting close to Springhill to drop off, our dog starts to get SUPER excited to go back to Mystic Acres! I wish I could type faster, I have so much to say!…read more We love D.O.G.! My 8 week old puppy entered their "Puppy Start Right" program and immediately became accustomed to being handled, trained, and exposed to a lot of household items... crutches, canes, wheel chairs, hair dryer, grooming shears, extension cords, pots and pans. He became a very confident happy puppy quickly! However... the best part of that experience was what the trainers taught ME as the puppy mom! They taught me to always give my dog, a choice, never force him to do something that he is adverse to doing. They taught me about positive reinforcement. They taught me that always carrying my dog around is actually hindering his development, and that I need to allow him to be a "big dog" even though he talked out at 10 pounds. We continued to the adolescent program and I truly enjoyed the 4 weeks of daily day training, and Satchel loves his trainers! We were treated to a end of session handoff meeting, where we were taught how to continue teaching him the good manners, and the good behaviors that we all like seeing in a well trained dog. It was wonderful to be able to see him interact with his trainer. His trainer answered all our questions. In fact, it's important to know that every single day I took my dog in for training, I would greet a trainer who would ask if I had any questions. I knew that this group of fine humans loved my dog as much as I do, if not more at times. It is wonderful to see how satchel behaves in public, how he handles a leash, and how he behaves at home as a confident, young puppy. This center is very careful to not over populate their staff meaning they only take on a safe number of dogs that can be taught properly during the amount of time. Their facility is extremely clean my dog had access to water, food, treats and enrichment at all times. Satchel really enjoys the obstacle courses, and now he is currently being trained for the canine good citizen distinction. I really appreciate the fun activities like Easter egg hunts and group walks that allow me to interact with other dog owners.

Nail trim with a dremel finish, oatmeal bath, Furminator treatment and even a massage! His coat was like silk and his nails are now at a much healthier length ... I could tell that he was feeling pretty handsome!! I felt that Abby was very connected to the spirit of animals and she went above and beyond with Jack. You can just tell when someone has that "special" aura and she has it! I just really can't say enough about her and the great presence and reputation that On The Ball has in our community. I have also had him there for daycare and it's great. Lots of individual attention which I appreciate. As a side note, Jack went to Mariposa Veterinary Wellness Center yesterday for his checkup and Dr. Carrier was most impressed with how he looked and felt ... Jacks fur is just beautiful after Abby's magic touch! He recommended that Jack go every month for grooming and that's exactly what I will be doing!
