I highly advise you not to bring your dog to this guy no matter how bad your dog needs training. I brought my puppy in for crate training and excessive barking. My girlfriend and I did one session with Paul and he nearly killed my dog by chocking him till his tongue turned purple and he pooped himself. I have never seen something so horrific in my life. My dog also bit his tongue so bad that there is a 4 inch scar that will be there for the rest of his life. This was just for crate training remind you and he was not a violent puppy at all. My dog had to go to the vet right away and could not eat solid foods for 2 weeks cause he damaged his neck muscles and throat severely. It makes me so sad daily that I put my dog through such misery with this awful human being. read more

If you're looking for a serious dog trainer who actually instills training methods that will correct your dog's ability to practice better self control, then this is your place! I'm blown away by my dogs new abilities to practice self control...all on his own. I was nearly ready to give up hope for our fur baby (shepherd mix) who we rescued about a year and a half ago. He developed a very serious aggressive behavioral issue towards other dogs to a point that he had lost complete control over himself. This behavior was getting progressively worse. It got to a point that we feared taking him anywhere in public as he may see another dog. He has also caused injury to whoever was unfortunately handling him at these times. Things were very bad. We found Paul and K9 City thru our veterinarian, and all I can say is I'm totally amazed at what Paul accomplished with our dog. In just 10 days of training we now have a dog who shows tremendous self control, ability to be with other dogs, focus and attention to commands, along with countless other new abilities he demonstrates on his own at home. I did worry in the beginning if I would get the same results with him at home as Paul was getting, however the transfer into our home environment has been nearly seamless. Paul trains in a way unlike other dog trainers. I used a doggie boot camp training facility years ago with another dog, but Paul's way of teaching the dog and getting the dog to actually change their own problem behavior issues is a game changer. Nothing like the previous doggie boot camp we used. I would not hesitate one moment to recommend Paul for any difficult canine behavior issues. I really mean it when I say that each day I'm blown away by what he has accomplished. The 10 day training package was worth every penny we spent, and then some. Had a great consultation with Paul. Explained the process of instilling behavior in our new family member Lola, a two year old boxer stray from a shelter. Set an appointment with Paul, my wife, Lola and I. Paul worked with Lola for an hour and a half. He taught us how to reenforce her behavior and I must say we were blown away with the results. Lola is a sweet girl but stubborn and very strong minded. He had her reacting to his training at every level. We adopted Louie (chihuahua mix) November of 2020. He was diagnosed by our veterinarian as having fear aggression issues. She said he would need to be drugged with Gabapentin and Trazadone during visits and while boarding. Not wanting to drug Louie, we met with a dog behaviorist and had many training sessions with a trainer recommended by our vet. Our mission was to get him over his fear of people and aggression (barking and growling) and wanting him to be "drug-free" while boarding. After over a year of "training" by others we still had the same problems. Boarding places wanted Louie drugged and so did our vet. We needed a solution and fast. We took Louie to meet him and followed up with a day of training with Paul. After one day, Louie was AMAZING! Wow! Paul has helped us, the well being of our dogs, and the general quality of our lives so much! Paul at K-9 City was recommended to us by the owner of a wonderful pet rescue while we were looking to adopt the newest member of our pack. We came to have our original dog's personality evaluated along with the new dog that we had selected, as well as to learn more about general obedience training and how to introduce a new dog to the family. Firstly, Paul was so accessible as we were trying to get in touch with him. He picked up the phone right away on a day when he was very busy, couldn't talk long, but told us exactly when he would be available again to speak with us. When we finally had a chance to talk, he listened intently to our situation, gave advice, and looked for the soonest availability to get us an appointment. After checking his schedule and realizing that the first available appointment was nearly a week away, he offered to stay late the following day so as to make sure our pets were going to be safe and happy. Commenced training @ K9 City with a Pyrenees Mountain Dog last week. Overly friendly dog with great personality, although issues with jumping on folk with greetings, constant barking, destroying home objects, among other disobedient behavior. Had 2 hr training session, however after the first ten minutes, realized that the level of professionalism, expertise, experience and knowledge offered by Paul was so valuable. The 8 month old puppy was so fixated on the trainer, and followed all commands and corrections, something I couldn't achieve in months. Paul has an incredible understanding of dog psychology, and during the workout, he was simultaneously explaining what the dog was achieving and thinking. He is pretty firm with teaching "dog manners", his analogy that our kids listen to their school teacher far better than their parents. Also, the facilities and infrastructure are incredible and modern for training, boarding & grooming purposes. Our dog Gordon has been a student with Paul for 3 weeks and we're seeing a marked change in his at-home behavior thanks to the lessons Paul has taught us. I say Gordon is the student but we are clearly the ones learning. We have gained so much knowledge in a short time about how to communicate our desired behaviors to our dog. Paul is very kind and patient with the dogs because he recognizes that the responsibility is on us to work with our pets and reinforce the methods that he's offering us. We did the package for 10 days boarding and training. We were skeptical at first, but it was truly worth every single penny! What concerns me most about the text message string below is that it makes me wonder how many other dogs are having an ecollar placed on them without the owners awareness or permission. I think his second text "and tell the owner" was only because he realized the prior text accidentally went to me so he was trying to cover up the wrongdoing. We took our Rottweiler to K9 City as a last attempt to try and fix a very difficult situation. Our Rottweiler had shown aggression to other dogs and had already gotten into a couple of fights with our older dog. We were starting to wonder if they would ever get along, and it was constant stress and worry any time we had them in the same vicinity. However, since seeing Paul at K9 City we were amazed with the transformation our Rottweiler has made.
