1/06/26: Our fur baby enjoys visiting. They accept walk-ins before 1pm, but I prefer to call ahead of time, as a courtesy. Maria is a great groomer, and it's obvious that she enjoys her job. Vanessa is great at the front desk, and is very pleasant over the phone. My dog has never appeared stressed before or after grooming, and they always make him look good! I will continue to support this family owned business. There is plenty of parking available, which is great, because the groomers stay busy! They are closed on Sundays and Mondays. read more

They cut my little Yorkies hair twice now and each time have done a great job and in a timely manner. She looked just adorable and smelled so good. I really like this place. We went to K9'S PAWS & CLAWS today to get our sweet Mastiff's nails trimmed. I believe it was a family business with the husband, wife, and son working together. What a sweet family. They were so gentle and kind with Cole. Even when Cole was nervous and scared, they were sweetly reassuring him that he'd be alright. They even left the door open so that Cole could see we were near him the entire time. I had taken Cole to Petco earlier that day for a nail trim. I was treated like a burden by the groomer, and she had completely ignored my puppy. We even waited nearly 45 minutes for her service, but we weren't even re-acknowledged, so we left after wasting our time there. Cole will be a repeat customer at K9's Claws and Paws from now on. Had a great experience taking my Miniature Australian Shepherd Opal in for a bath and groom as well as nail trim! The gentleman helping us was very friendly and even threw in a free teeth brushing since it was our first time. They're a family operated business and a bit small but don't let that stop you from giving them a shot. They did a wonderful job on her haircut and allowed me to choose the length of the hair accurately from their diagram. The Easter bows in her hair was too precious to not take picture! What a very unassuming pet boutique! For whatever reason ( probably the noise) my dog does not like to be blown dry, they turn fans on home to speed up the process. Very nice, customer service is GREAT! Definitely recommend! read more

Took our sweet toy poodle here to be groomed since our normal place was booked for the holidays. Horrible mistake. We got him back and he has a huge gash in his leg. Not just a little nick but a big gash. We are going to have to take him to the vet. He is completely traumatized and won't stop shaking. Hasn't stopped shaking since we brought him home hours ago. They claimed the gash happened due to him being matted. No. This has never happened with our other groomer. He's always come home and is back to his normal self. Sure this place may seem like a cheaper option but the vet bill and our traumatized puppy is not worth it. read more

If you love your pets, please please please do not bring your dog in. Not only does it take the ENTIRE day but the past couple of times I've picked him up, seems as though he's shaken up and has cuts all over his body. I've been getting my dog groomed here for years so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but this is ridiculous! My dog was stuck there for eight hours the last time I had dropped him off. Eight hours! This place is dirty and smells disgusting. I would say the price is the only plus but that's not even worth it anymore. I will never never never bring my poor dog here ever again and I hope anyone who reads this does this same. I'm legitimately concerned about any animal that gets dropped off at this establishment. read more

tl;dr: He was nice but his place was extremely dirty and he didn't even bother to tell me that he accidentally cut one of my dogs' nails too short, so she ended up bleeding on my clothes and my car seats. I have two chihuahuas that needed their nails filed, one of which just had rabies shots an hour earlier. PetSmart (where I usually take them) has a policy where they have to wait 48 hours after getting shots, so I called up Paws 'n' Claws at about 5:40 on a Friday. Guy answered and was really friendly, told me to come on down and it'd be $10 for both of them. Great deal, right? So I went over right away. Both of my dogs are rescues so they're pretty skeptical of people, and one of my dogs did NOT want to go in there. He offered to take the leash and kind of yanked on her a bit until she was inside. It was kind of a strange first impression but I just ignored it. The shop is filthy - unorganized and probably hasn't been swept or dusted in weeks. While I was waiting for him to finish with my first dog, I was wondering if I should just walk out - if it was this dirty and he accidentally cut one of them, what if they got an infection? But I stayed because it was cheap and I was already there. He took the other dog and did his nails, then I got ready to pay. He said he had already shut down his credit card machine for the night, so I offered to run to an ATM quick but he said don't worry about paying. I offered to write him a check since I didn't want to just not pay, which he accepted. I'm assuming he said not to worry about payment because of what I noticed later... On my way home, I noticed that my seats had spots on them. I looked closer and as my pup was running from window to window I realized it was blood! I looked at her nail and there was quite a bit of blood coming out of it! So I had to wash my jeans and the seats of my car when I got home. I'm not sure if she'll get an infection or anything, but obviously I hope not! read more

My wife and I take our littlest dog here to get his hair groomed. We've been taking him here for at least 8-10 years and we always love the way he looks and smells when he comes home! I just picked him up this afternoon and he was happy as always to see us and always seems really comfortable around the owners. We love this place and wouldn't take him anywhere else to get groomed. Great place to take your dog to get groomed and for a very reasonable price... Might be a little awkward at first because your dogs probably won't want to go in and the man will most likely be forced to pull your dogs in.. But other than that your dogs will come out looking great! read more

I was impressed with being able to go in instantly, so that's why they got 1 star. The place is small, old, dirty, and it stinks. The overwhelming smell of incense made me sick. They took my dog just to trim his paws, and cut him. Levi is really gentle, so I was surprised when half way through the clipping he became jumpy. I didn't notice and they didn't seem it was important to tell me that they had hurt him. It wasn't until after we left that I noticed Levi was bleeding all over my car. The price was great, but not worth my dog's pain :( read more

One of the few places who does cats! I've been taking my Maine Coon there once a year for his annual summer cut and they have always done a beautiful job. Our mixed-breed dog Shakespeare also went once a year for a summer trim and since he had been abused as a small puppy, did not like being handled much. They always did a wonderful job on him as well. I was referred to Paws and Claws by a lady who lives in my apartment building. The shop is not fancy, but the grooming is fine. I have a rescue who doesn't really like men too much, but he is not afraid when I take him there. The groomer (a man) works hard to get Benny done quickly so he can get home for medications he takes throughout the day. I really appreciate the effort to help me. Last year I took my kitty up to have her mats removed from the spring shedding because I had been to Paws & Claws years ago with good success. This time, the man called saying he could only do half of her coat because she was biting him. I went up to retrieve my cat, he ushered me into the back grooming area. I was stunned at how filthy it was! My cat was in a cage on the floor. I took her and left. When I got her home, I noticed bleeding on her side... really bleeding. I called him and asked if he had seen the blood and he said no. I couldn't believe that. We ended up taking her to the emergency animal hospital on 190 where a tumor/cyst was discovered that had been cut. We had to leave her overnight for them to do the surgery to remove the tumor/cyst, analyze it, and stitch her up. That was $700.00. The thing that I really did not appreciate was the guy at Paws & Claws who denied even seeing the blood after cutting her side. I would never take a pet to that filthy place again, ever. If you have had great luck there, I'm very happy for you. Never again! We should've sued that place!! read more
