Not sure if it was cause I purchased food close to closing time or if food is this bad all the time. The Falafel was spoiled, very sour tasting, the beef kabobs very rubbery and hard. I dont know where to start.. Gaby was awesome she was on top of everything, she knew the menu inside and out and was single handedly serving everyone and not one person felt neglected! The food was AMAZING, last time we stayed in reedley we ate at this terrible place called Caspian (don't go there) and this time Kabab City absolutely made up for it. The falafel and hummus appetizer was awesome. Then we had the beef kabab and a shewarma wrap, both were out of this world. This is our new go-to place whenever we are in Reedley. We stopped in here for lunch and had beef and chicken kebab salads. The greens and toppings were tasty and fresh. The chicken was very flavorful and cooked nicely but the steak was overcooked. Now, I usually like medium rare, but this kebab was overcooked for the cut that it was. It was probably sirloin and didn't have enough fat in it to be cooked that well because it was dry and chewy. I still finished it all with greens and feta cheese on it anyway. I am from out of town but this restaurant seemed pretty popular with the locals and the prices were decent. RUDE!! And this isn't the first time! Servers/hostess were so rude. These girls are not friendly and welcoming. Seemed like they were just trying to get customers in and out. I ordered and extra pita bread and when i told her she replied with "well i didn't see it on my screen" instead of asking for my DoorDash. So i pulled it up for her so she could see it. Very good salad and rice. The musaka didn't have any meat in it. It's a stuffed eggplant but it only had half and eggplant with some sauce on it. No meat and dry. I was obsessed with this place when it first opened because the food was delicious and different. My husband and I still eat here a lot but the food quality seems to have decreased a little bit during the pandemic. Maybe a smaller staff? There was one time the spicy chicken (which I always get) was 10x spicier than it had ever been, it wasn't even enjoyable. But on the whole, the fattoush salad and pilaf are always fantastic and the spicy chicken is usually great. It never takes more than 20 minutes if you're picking up yourself. read more

Today was my first experience at Kabab City, Reedley CA. I have to say that I am a little disappointed in the entree'. I had the Spicy Chicken takeout. The food was decent, it had flavor, however, the one thing it lacked was the garlic sauce. I know they cook the garlic sauce within their Spicy Chicken, but I did not taste it. As I read some reviews prior coming to this place, I have to agree with a post that had said they should offer more garlic sauce. For me the garlic sauce is the best part of Mediterranean food. In addition, I noticed how popular the restaurant was, but what caught my eye was the shortness of staff. The two young ladies that helped me today were sweet, however, I can tell they were overwhelmed with there only being two of them and the place was literally filled up. As well I can tell they were frustrated with the cooks, more precisely the time length it took for the cooks to get their orders done. For me it took an 1 hour for my takeout order to be ready. I understand when staff is short and it is difficult, especially in the food industry so I appraised the girls and cooks for trying their best. Overall, I do not want to end on a bad note here. I believe this place can really become something. For a small town like Reedley to have something like this, is a plus. Moreover, they had nice decor and plenty of food choices to choose from. Chicken Kabab Plate.....The chicken was marinated in a very tasty seasoning.... The sauce that comes with it is so very complimentary...the salad dressing was absolutely great, as well as the pilaf !!! I also had a side of hummus with pita bread, I could have made a meal out of that alone, it was that good !! Yep I was very hungry but still can judge food and be fair. The lunch combo plate was over the top, the salad was a nice mix on my plate as I grazed on a mix of meats, pilaf, crispy salad, and the med dipping sauce. I place 2 dinner orders for chicken kabob's,rice pilaf and salad. My son brings it home. I open it up and I find about a large grilled bell pepper I personally don't know who would eat a whole bell pepper not me or my son. I called Fowler Kabob City speak with ilka or ika she tells me she will give the information to the owner or her manager. That he'll call me back. The reason I ordered from them today is I have a broken wrist with a cast on it I'm have been unable to cook with one hand. I wait 45 minutes I call them ask for ilka, I asked her if she informed her manager of the abundance of bell pepper she said her manager said that there is nothing he can do about it. I had paid $30.50 for a meal that the main course was bell pepper. They have very bad customer service. Buyer beware when you order chicken kabob, over rice and salad. There is a picture on they're menu and no where on the picture shows bell pepper which the manager should go over his menu. Ilka contradicts herself by yelling at me saying that the picture on the menu has bell pepper all over it, it doesn't. Beware of what you ask for and make sure you let them know specifically no bell peppers on top of your main course not unless that is what you want is bell peppers. I just don't want any one out there getting the wrong order paying $15 dollars for bell pepper. I as a business person and deal with patience don't want anyone else to be treated as I was this evening. Bad customer service, the owner of this establishment should educate himself and employees to treat good paying customers with respect as you may want your mothers, father's, sisters, brothers and children to be treated.
