This is the newest spot in Sanger, so we had to give it a try. We visited during lunchtime and found it pleasantly not too busy. The setup was straightforward; you walk down the line and tell the staff your preferred options as they prepare your meal right in front of you. We opted for the lunch special, which included a bowl with rice, chicken, toppings, and a drink. While the food was decent, it was slightly on the cold side, which was a bit disappointing. Despite that, the ambiance was clean and spacious, and the staff were attentive, even coming out to ask how our meals were. Their kindness was appreciated, but we felt uncomfortable telling them about the temperature of the food. We ate on-site and noticed that they also offer catering, which they advertised on their overhead TVs. Overall, I think I would give them another try, hoping the meals are served hot next time.

    Falafel gyro very thick sauce.

Ughhh def can't suggest this place. Two stars. Salad no sauce like literally no sauce. Chicken tastes like it was sautéed or baked, def not grilled skewers. Falafel gyro appreciate the multiple 3 of them on it, but not ready to eat. I feel like the chicken should be a breast not thigh or random wtf. It's juicy with thigh, but not traditional Mediterranean.

    SIDE OF CHICKEN SHAWARMA

Great chicken salad at a reasonable price. Friendly staff. Forget the hamburger or taco and try this place.

Good food, cheap and fast. What more do you need? I got shawarma chicken on salad. It feels like a chain but it is family owned.

We got the food as take-out. It was delicious and very reasonably-priced. The kabob chicken was moist and grilled vegetables were great.

Nothing is fresh, all food is preheated and tasteless. If I could give it zero stars I would. Will never go back to this place.

I like to take risks and see what the foods like. I wanna see the restaurant was clean. There was a lot of people eating and the service was good! The food was really good as well. It was ok, I had the beef, but I failed to cut it up till half way through and it was hard to eat. Half way through I started cutting up the meat and it tasted so much better and easy to eat. Not so tough and awkward. Today March 28, 2026 is our 2nd visit. We arrived first in the party of 6. They led us to the first table. Two booth seats and a table with 4 chairs. Perfect. Next they have us menus and took our drink orders. As it turns out it was waters for 5 of us and 1 lemonade. As people arrived they individually took out drink orders. Once we got settled they took out orders. I ordered the shawarma, a wrap with tri tip, lettuce, tomato, parsley, tahini sauce. Wrapped in a pocket bread. It comes with: salad, rice, or fries. I got the salad. was delicious. I loved their dressing. The shawarma was delicious. I love how small they cut up the meat and the flavoring. The wait staff was very attentive and checked back with us a few times. Refilling waters, asking us if we wanted boxes. She even came with the boxes as she asked us so all she had to do was pass them out. The restaurant is bright and clean, thought a little cool. They turned off the fans for us and it was perfect. She said it gets warm during the rush. We were first in the restaurant for lunch. 11:30am in a Saturday is early. I look forward to coming back next year when we're back in town.

I decided to come here…read morefor dinner based on the great experience I had during my last visit, but unfortunately, this visit was far from consistent. I usually order the chicken kabab plate, but this time I wanted to try something different. I asked the waitress for a recommendation, and she suggested the spicy chicken, saying it was very popular and one of their best dishes. Based on her recommendation, I ordered it. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy it. The dish was very saucy and lacked flavor for my taste. My boyfriend politely asked the waitress if I could exchange it for something else since I did not like it. She informed us that because the dish had already been prepared, I would have to pay for both the meal I did not enjoy and any replacement meal I ordered. I was genuinely surprised by this response. Having worked in the restaurant industry for many years, I understand that guests sometimes try new items and discover they simply are not to their liking. In my experience, restaurants often try to accommodate those situations to ensure customer satisfaction. If this is the restaurant's policy regarding refunds or exchanges, it should be clearly communicated to customers. Policies like this should not come as a surprise after an issue arises. Transparency goes a long way in creating a positive customer experience. The waitress then spoke with her manager and returned with an alternative solution. She said they would provide two chicken skewers at no charge, but I would still be responsible for paying for the original meal. What made this even more confusing was that the original plate included rice and salad, while the replacement consisted only of two skewers. If the restaurant was willing to replace the meal, I do not understand why a full replacement plate was not offered. It also did not make sense that I was expected to pay for a meal I did not enjoy while only receiving a partial replacement to take home. Although I agreed to the solution, what bothered me most was the change in attitude afterward. The waitress became noticeably less friendly, and both she and another employee seemed rude when I went to pay my bill. It felt as though I was being treated poorly simply because I did not enjoy the recommended dish. This is not the level of customer service I expected, especially after having such a positive experience here previously. I understand that restaurants may have policies regarding refunds or exchanges, but there is a respectful and professional way to handle those situations. Unfortunately, I left feeling unwelcome and disappointed. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and focuses on improving customer service, communication, and the overall guest experience. As of now, I do not plan on returning.

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.
