Good food and very tasty and good portions. My only complaint is that the 2 times I visited this restaurant there was a wait for beef shawarma. I was told both times that it takes longer to cook the beef. The restaurant had been open 30 minutes & the beef wasn't ready, doesn't make sense to me. But the chicken shawarma was good. I took my family for lunch and they all loved it. I ordered the chicken Kabab with hummus and cucumber yogurt. The chicken was very soft. My son had the shrimp Kabab and he said it was good. Truly disappointed -- the young gentleman that was working tonight was cooking with his mask hanging by his chin while conversing with his co-worker. His lack of consideration for his customers safety was appalling. Also, I had confirmed once over the phone and in person when I paid that he had added my garlic sauce on the side. He told me that it was inside the styrofoam box with my food but when I opened it at home, it was the tahini sauce. Having worked in the restaurant industry I'm usually tolerant to people's mistakes but I was incredibly upset this time around. I ended up tossing my food away... Overall very good food. The service is good as well. Some of the best hummus I've had and the schwarma is also very good. The only downside is that they charge an extra $2 to substitute French fries instead of rice on the combo meals. I personally cannot have rice because I'm allergic. Both French fries and rice on the menu are priced at $2.99 each. I'd figure since they're the same price it would be an even substitute with no additional charge. I had their grape leaves as appetizer and lamb chops. The grape leaves were pretty good but the lamb kabob was kooked to pefection. lamb is hard to make and it can come out dry if not cooked properly. Theirs was juicy and amazing. Cooked just right. The one time we decide to go get something from take out and they are the only place where none of the staff is wearing mask.... really disappointed. Their service was good. They are clearly understaffed so don't expect the food to come out quickly. We waited almost 25-30 minutes for our food. The place was very clean. The guys behind the counter were friendly for the most part. I could tell the cashier was a bit overwhelmed but hey, I know what it's like to work in customer service so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He's human. Now let's talk about the price... for the amount of food that you get, it makes sense that the price is going to be a little high. But for two plates, we came out $50 less than when we walked in... so don't expect to spend less than $20. NOW. Let's get into it. The food. You guys. The food is absolutely amazing. I had the chicken Kabab plate and I literally felt my soul leave my body(granted I was starving so anything would've done that). But the chicken was soft and flavorful. The rice was teaming with spices and fluffiness. I had the grape leaves and those definitely tied for first place against some of the ones I've tasted(albeit they could've been rolled more tightly/looked more presentable). The Mediterranean Potato Salad was a new taste for me. Definitely different from your regular cook-out potato salad but regardless, it held it's own. My boyfriend had the Lamb Kabab plate. He thought it was delicious. The lamb was very flavorful and tender. He also had the potato salad and ate every last bit. The Tabouleh was fresh and paired well with the pita bread.
