    - Chicken Shawarma
    Rosie H.

I had high expectations of this place considering that they had great reviews. There's plenty of parking in the structure or nearby and the restaurant is easy to locate, right across from Starbucks. Service was very friendly and restaurant inside is small but it seems like most of the people get their orders to go like I did. I really wanted to love this place, everything seemed super fresh but the chicken shawarma was very gristly that I was barely able to eat it. I thought it was supposed to be chicken breast but it was just too chewy and fatty for that. Everything else tasted wonderful but the chicken. Maybe the kabobs would have been better or the beef?

Met up with several friends to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant is small, but it was nice and very clean. After everyone arrived, we all, one by one, ordered from the counter. Staffs were friendly and helpful. After we all ordered, we sat around chatting away, while we waited for our foods. Foods came out fairly quick. I got the Beef Kebab (Grilled Filet Mignon). It came with Rice, Pita Bread, and 2 Sides. For the 2 sides, I got Baba Ghanoush and the Cucumber Yogurt Salad. The Beef Kebab was so good. Meat was soft and tender. It goes well with the Baba Ghanoush and rice. It was a great meal. Had a blast celebrating our friend's Birthday.

6/2/25 Absolutely delicious Mediterranean fare in the city of Corona! Celebrated our dear Friends bday here on a Monday night. The place is pretty small & has both indoor & outdoor dining. The temperature inside was a bit warm for my preference but comfortable enough-had the door opened to cool down. Jose took our order, he was efficient. It's cooked to order so the food may take a little while (about 20 minutes), this is NOT fast food. When my food was ready, Jose delivered it to our table, nice & hot, fresh! Oh my oh my, D'vine-ly aromatic, you will salivate at the delicious food wafts through your senses! Both the chicken & kafta were seasoned well, tender & flavorful, on a bed of basmati rice. My sides, baba ghanoush & hummus also savory good, garlic sauce was a bit tiny but spectacularly umamilicious & a pita. Very filling combo with enough leftovers that Hubby enjoyed when I took it home. Overall it was a good deal for the price. Would return if in the area

Had an absolutely "Dvine" time here last night with friends to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant was so helpful and accommodating for our large group! I've had this place bookmarked for almost a decade, but the Brea location--so I'm stoked to see it expanding into other areas and close to home! Everything was insanely delicious! I ordered the hummus with beef shawarma entree. It came with rice, pita, garlic sauce and two sides. I opted for the turshi and tabbouleh. I ordered some baklava to take home. They also provided me with a free rice pudding for my birthday! My cup truly runneth over! Thank you to my friends for a lovely time, and Dvine for a wonderful experience!

Love this quaint eatery . Amazing service . Ordered the Beef Shawarma Entree which was served with plenty serving of Beef strips, Rice, pita bread, Cold sides of potato salad, Mediterranean salad and yummy Garlic sauce. Got a slice of Baclava for dessert! Came for a lovely birthday celebration of a friend and restaurant was very accommodating to our group of 10 with a long table!! Will surely be visiting again to try other dishes on the menu especially the Mutabel-Baba Ghanoush which is a cold appetizer of grilled eggplant, tahini, yogurt, lemon juice, and olive oil !!!

    Arabic Style Shawerma (Beef)

Loved the beef kebab plate and their baklava! This is now one of my top 5 restaurants. The first time I came here, I had the shawerma, and it was good. But their kebab, I thought it was amazing. Plenty of parking outside, nice area. My son had the Arabic style shawerma and he liked it but next time he said he's getting the kebab too.

Look at this and compare to the plate on the menu, not even the same!

I don't know what the hell is going on here. This food was GROSS. I had the chicken and beef schwarma plate. The food looks nothing like the menu. The chicken and beef both had no flavor and was fatty/gristly. It looked like the boiled meat they give you at cheap Mexican taco spots. Even the rice didn't look right I took 4 bites and threw it away. What a waste of money. The pita bread is so thick and bready too. I don't know why the hell this place has so many good reviews, but never in my life had I had "schwarma" that looked or tasted like this. In my opinion stay away, go elsewhere. Total waste of money!

Awesome service and wonderful food! Jose was a wonderful host and server for our group. He was able to accommodate us with inside seating. Great hospitality! We had a blast. A great place to hang out a while and enjoy some good stuff! My plate came with Baba ganoush, hummus, beef shawarma with pine nuts, pita bread and Mediterranean salad. Also comes with a side of rice. It was enough for two meals. Generous portions and so good! Self serve drink station. Parking right in front or parking structure nearby. Will definitely be back for more!

Not a big place but nice clean and comfortable. Came in with 10 of us in a group. Great service. Good food. Flavorful meat and fresh veggies. Nice appetizing to go boxed presentation. Competitive price. Just a fun get together birthday gathering for one of our group member. Happy birthday Danielle. Awesome experience. Thanks Vouch for organizing and picking the place.

    The Shish Burger

Definitely need to try the Shish Burger under the Pita Pocket and Wraps on the menu. So good! Comes with Mediterranean salad on the bottom, pickles, and both garlic and hot sauces. So good! Highly recommend this place a good, healthy meal. Lunch or dinner! Service here is great and food comes out fast!

While driving by, I decided to stop here for a quick lunch, and I'm so glad I did. First of all, the place is impeccable. I work in cleaning services, so I notice these things right away. Everything was spotless. The ambiance is clean, welcoming, and comfortable. Service was fast, but what stood out was that the cashier still took the time, with a smile, to explain parts of the menu when we had questions. The prices are surprisingly affordable. When my mom hesitated because of the language, they made the effort to speak Spanish to make her feel comfortable, which meant a lot to us. We were served at our table, and honestly, the first bite was heavenly. I thought I already loved Greek food, but this went beyond anything I've tried before. Definitely coming back

I love the cafe and bakery as their desserts and manaqish is the best around but the girls that work there always seem unhappy and bothered to see minority women customers; they seem quite discriminative and judgmental and overall, deliver horrible customer service and should learn more about interpersonal and public communication because they're horrible. The people saying the vibe is off are correct. The owner holds a strong and friendly presence in the business and is always welcoming. The food at the restaurant is great although I mostly get the cheese flatbreads or cheese and zaaztar. These are basically Levantine pizzas and I argue they are better than pizza and no offense to Italy. The cheeses have more character and pungency than mozzarella and are palatable for just about anyone. I love Mediterranean cuisine in general and if you love it too, please try this food! They also cater. I really appreciate and love how clean and aesthetically appealing the establishments are. I give them a five-star rating because the food is excellent, the establishment seems very clean and the owner is present and welcoming, but if I wanted to, I'd give them two stars because of the girls that give such terribly unprofessional ugly looks to me and apparently, to others as well from reading the reviews. Those girls would be fired immediately from the double Forbes five-star establishment I work at. The most important part of our uniform is a genuine and welcoming smile and always greeting guests with direct eye contact is non-negotiable. They're young and are still learning so I won't rate the restaurant poorly because of some immature girls.

Bottom Line Up Front: If you like Greek food but don't want…read moreto pay big bucks at an traditional sit-down restaurant, Apola can be your yummy, budget-friendly alternative. The Food: Let me start by saying this is clearly an American take on Greek food, so if you're looking for super authentic food, look elsewhere. But if you're OK with a fusion, Apola will satisfy your Mediterranean craving. There are gyros (pita wraps), bowls, combo plates, and burritos (see, there's that American take I was talking about). All of them range in quality from average to really good. Though I've been here several times, I'll focus on my last visit when we got "the Works" pita wrap and a Greek salad bowl. For the Works, it comes with all the fixings, your choice of protein, and fries stuffed inside (yes, inside, not as a side). I chose beef-and-lamb gyro meat, which came in a huge portion. (Pro Tip: I pulled the fries out and got a "free" side. Of course , there's not a lot of fries, but enough to satisfy my fried food craving.) The gyro was big and tasty. For the Greek salad bowl, we also got beef-and-lamb gyro meat. Once again, they hooked it up with the quantity. Nice! The ingredients (tomatoes, cucumber, feta, etc) were all fresh and seasoned nicely. Side note: I do find it odd that they call this dish a salad bowl when it comes in a rectangular plastic tray. But semantics aside, it was quite good. I also ordered a fountain drink and got a Coke. It was nice a crisp with a lot of carbonation. Just the way I like it. It's not as good as the exclusive Coke blend at McDonald's, but was a close second. I have had some pretty watered down Cokes at other places in recent years. The Service: There were two young gentlemen working the last time I visited, and they were both friendly and knowledgeable. They even brought our meals to our table, which was a nice touch for a fast food establishment. The Setting: It's located inside the recently revamped Yorba Linda Downtown, which has revitalized the area and made it a pleasant place to hang out. Unfortunately, on weekends, it's hard to find parking sometimes. Fortunately we came on a weekday and got parking nearby. Inside, Apola is clean and tidy with roughly enough tables and chairs for a variety of party sizes. The Conclusion: Apola offers good Mediterranean-inspired food for a reasonable price (compared to other restaurants these days) -- just don't expect it to be 100% authentic Greek food. It's not perfect and not super cheap, but with the right expectations set, I plan to return on semi-regular basis.
