Panini Kabob has been one of my go to places whenever I'm craving Mediterranean food. We came here for a small lunch to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday, and as always, everything was delicious. The family meal is such a great value. It comes with a few different choices of meat, rice, and your choice of sides. It says it feeds four, but honestly, it feels like it feeds even more. We always end up taking food home. The Mediterranean salad is always fresh, the service is friendly, and the food never disappoints. I placed my pickup order 3 hours in advance for 11:15 AM but it wasn't ready until after 11:35 AM If you're planning to pick up an order and need to be somewhere on time, I'd recommend arriving 15-20 minutes later than your scheduled pickup time because the quoted pickup time doesn't seem to be accurate. The most frustrating part was the lack of communication. When I asked for an estimated time, I was repeatedly told, "It's being bagged," but that response was given multiple times while I continued to wait. There was no apology for the delay, and it ultimately made me late for an important meeting. I understand that restaurants get busy, but if pickup times can't be met, customers should be informed and updated. I come in today hungry just wanted some good food it's not too busy so it's perfect you would think no. I get seated the table is dirty. Honestly if you look around most of them are dirty. I sit here for about 20 minutes waiting to be asked can I get you something to drink atp i already know what I want and I'm upset rightfully so. After a disappointing experience years ago, I ended up giving this place another shot after coming with friends. I started coming back every now and again because I love the koobideh. I am so disappointed, as much I have loved their food I will not go back. Today I picked up an $800 catering order that I placed. Huge pans of skewers, rice, salads, etc. I had to pick this order up by myself and had already made two trips to my car. The pans were really hot and the protein pans were heavy, so I politely asked the gentleman working there if he could please help me carry the rest of food to my car. It was obvious I was struggling and I still had more trips to make. He did not seem thrilled, but gave a reluctant sure, next thing I know the woman who was also there working interrupts and hands me two paper bags to use as make shift oven mitts to carry my own items since the pans were hot, I pretty much got an unspoken you can carry it out by yourself because they said nothing to me at all proceeded with what they were doing and ignored me. As I was struggling to get through their door through their patio another guest saw me struggling and opened for the door for me. I carried the rest out and on my last trip in I told the woman working that I was upset with placing such a large order and struggling to carry it, it was disappointing to be completely disregarded after asking for help. She informed me they are not allowed to leave the premises which is fine, however they didn't even explain that to me after I asked just handed me paper bags as make shift oven mitts and basically a "good luck - you're on your own," turned around and went back to what they were doing. The service was mediocre as we waited five minutes to even be seated when the restaurant was pretty empty and food took long. Besides that, the food was great as always and the portions big. The beef koobideh or chicken plate are always great options (pictured). This location is conveniently located on the outside part of the mall with plenty of mall parking. DO NOT EAT HERE. unless you want to be sick. this food is unsafe and inedible. This was genuinely one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We spent almost $200 on dinner just to receive food that was unsafe to eat, incomplete, cold, and poorly prepared. The issue was not "just the rice portions" like Nancy Lopez tried to minimize it to. Nearly every item in the order had a problem. The meat was undercooked and pink, the rice was hard and not cooked, the vegetables were not cooked, the salad was warm and wilted, and multiple items were missing entirely. We waited over TWO HOURS while the rest of our food sat getting cold because we were repeatedly told the rice was still being made. What made this even worse was the response afterward. Despite sending photos and explaining everything in detail, management acted dismissive and offered only a $25 gift card for an almost $200 order. Offering store credit after serving undercooked food and ruining a family holiday dinner is insulting. Nancy Lopez, the customer service response felt like a joke. Being offered a $25 gift card after an almost $200 order with undercooked food, missing items, and a two-hour wait showed how little accountability this restaurant was willing to take. Take ownership since you're the manager and manage. Apparently customers are expected to photograph every single issue from every angle in order to be taken seriously. The fact that raw and undercooked meat was served should already be enough cause for concern. Food safety should matter more than arguing over whether every issue was perfectly documented. We spent hours waiting for food that ultimately got thrown away because nobody could eat it. Don't come to this location! A history of bugs in their food should tell you enough. read more

I was really hoping for better but it's not bad. The food and service needs improvement. First the food: I got the Appetizer Combo Platter which has 3 hummus flavors, 4 falafels, tzatziki, 2 caprese and pita bread. It was just okay. The biggest disappointment was the hummus. They were all lumpy/gritty. The Plain was decent and a bit smoother but I hated the Edamame flavor. They use cheap mozzarella in the caprese. The falafels were okay but very crispy outside and soft/ crumbly inside. The tzatziki and pita bread was good. I've tasted much better but they are not the worst ever. My hubby ordered the Charbroiled Chicken Kebab entree and it is huge! The chicken was flavorful and tender, the rice was a tad dry but okay and Cesar salad was decent. It was better than what I had. Now about the service: When we got there, there were 2 parties of ahead of us waiting to be seated but no host in sight. It was taking a while because there are only 2 servers and one was cleaning a lot of tables.The server was nice but never came back except to give us the check. What the heck is management doing?! Added a tofu skewer and a vegetable skewer. The vegetables were packed separately with care for the vegetarians at my house...THANK YOU! The order was NOT ready at the time it was supposed to be, but they hooked us up with hummus as service recovery. The only things off-putting to me was that there's a code for the restroom even though there's more than one stall. A couple of us were standing around waiting for no reason until the lady came out and said "there's more than one stall in there!" The other thing that was off-putting is an employee walked in (uniform on) with her kids and walked into the kitchen with her kids with her. The kids were walking in and out of the kitchen area multiple times with no supervision (where did mom go?!) They eventually walked out with open cups of drinks. We came here because Hubby's work catered from here. The restaurant has access from outside as well as inside the Galleria at Tyler. Parking is basically anywhere at the mall. We were seated right away, it took a while to get our drink order and table settings. Once we got our drinks we ordered appetizers and meal to hep speed up the visit. Restaurant was not crowded and had hostess, servers and bussers around. Our waiter on a scare 1-10, was a 3. He was very efficient and quick never came to check on us once we received our food. Glasses stayed empty. The service was the only downfall, but the food made up for it. We got a sampler platter so we could try all 4 different appetizers. Our favorite was the hummus and bread. Our family platter was amazing 7.5 out of 10. I wish it was more temperature hot it seemed to be a little on the cool side. I was looking for a place to chill and relax, and I stumbled upon Panini Kabob Grill located in Riverside, CA. It was so busy and packed that this place caught my attention; being my first time here, I was looking forward to their beverages and foods, but it was a bit underwhelming. I was told there was a waitlist around 15 mins to 25 mins, so the hostess told me to order in the front. A gentleman in a short-sleeve black polo shirt took excellent care of me and asked if I wanted to dine in or to go. He immediately sat me down at a table for one, knowing there were several parties ahead of me. I ordered the following: 2/5 Combo Kabob plate with MEDITERRANEAN Greek salad and Basmati rice. Wow, for those who live in Fresno/Clovis, they're spoiled with flavor; the flavor here is a bit underwhelming, bland, and somewhat flavorless. I like my TZATZIKI sauce more tart and flavorful. Their beef KOOBIDEH wasn't anything special, along with their chicken kebab that has a slight citrus marinade. Basmati rice was bland and flavorless. 3/5 Arnold Palmer At first it didn't grow on me, but later it did. It was not too sweet but refreshing with free refills. Their Arnold Palmer has a hint of ginger, but it will grow on you later. 1/5 Tap Water Their tap water tasted a bit heavy; I did not enjoy it even though it's free and other places charge for tap water LOL. 5/5 Service I read some negative reviews about their service, but I was mind-blown by the excellent service from their supervisor/manager (gentleman with a short-sleeve black polo shirt). The female server was also very nice and attentive, always checking up on me with refills. Both have exceptional customer service. I enjoyed my rice and hummus with my grilled artisan bread. The chicken could've used a little more flavor but is was still nice and tender. This place is great! My 93 year old veteran and I were seated promptly at a wheelchair accessible table. Our server, Jordan, even turned the ceiling fan off and the air conditioner down because we were a bit cold inside. We ordered and shared the Meat Lovers plate and it was plenty of food for us both. I know from prior experience that the food here and at other locations is quite good, and more importantly, consistent. Service, however, is not, hence the 3.5* rating, but not high enough to round up to 4* if only Yelp would provide a rotary grade system, but I digress. A family get together was the occasion, only three could attend, but we arrived before the restaurant filled up, including the patio area. While we got our order placed in a reasonable amount of time, the odd arrival of the appetizer sample, in two parts, was the start of ill-timed meets spotty service thereafter. First came the hummus and pita part, and about 10 minutes later the other half showed up with falafel and a caprese salad. Odd that this wasn't arranged on one large platter, at least everyone enjoyed it. The entrees came before we were even halfway done with the appetizer (who screwed that up?), which being awkward, also severely crowded the table with my sister's wrap plate, my shish kabob platter, and Dad's chicken kabob. At least those all looked great and we enjoyed them. But... no refills on drinks, nobody checked back to see how we liked things, at least until we were ready for to-go boxes. Normally great food at great value. Avoid or plan on delays on Mother's Day: pick up times are off by at least 3 hours, system for pick up leaves customers not knowing what is going on, e.g. they tell you check in with host get texted when order is ready. When orders actually come out, they call out name to an empty lobby. There's probably a 30-45 minute lag between when an order is ready and when the text is actually provided to customer. I think management could better handle the load and customer service. Line workers are doing the best they can with the exception of saying "they're still working on it; almost ready; etc." read more

Unfortunately will not be coming to this location again. We always go to the Mission Viejo location and we were so happy to see there was one in Riverside while we visited family. The quality of the food here is terrible. There's no flavor, and the quality of the chicken is terrible. In MV, they use fresh SHREDDED white breast meat. But here, they use chunks tendons, ligaments, fat, and dark meat. The chicken soup & pesto panini is what I always order. I ordered 4 large chicken soups because I assumed there was some kind of standard and it would be the same. No, it's just water, carrots, and bad quality meat with no flavor. The panini was drenched, the bottom bread completely soggy falling apart. Chicken no flavor. It was supposed to be grilled, but it was..... boiled? At the MV location they use a bread that tastes incredible with the soup. But here in Riverside, the bread was the exact same panini bread, except it was doused in so much butter or oil that if you barely squeezed it, it was dripping in oil. Did not eat it. Why use different bread? I'm assuming they ran out of their usual bread & used panini bread instead? Or maybe it's just cheaper to use it. I wasn't the only one who didn't like it. I brought my family here because we have been talking about the one in MV for a long time. Everyone had at least something to say about the quality. My fiancé got the hummus trio. At MV they give us 3 big containers of hummus and 10+ pieces fresh pita bites. This time in Riverside, they gave us small containers & less than 10 pita bites. But it's the same price as MV? He said the hummus tasted like it had been sitting out for a long time. Was also disappointed in the meat quality in his entree as well. I had the chicken kabob with rice pilaf & med salad and a cubano. The best cubano i've ever had. Now the chicken was moist, flavorful and cooked to perfection, along with the vegetables. Two people could have easily shared this platter. The entire staff was friendly, professional and spot-on. The facilities were immaculate. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. I have been going to Panini Grill in Riverside just about every Sunday after church for quite a while now. I love the food there but today I got my chicken kebab meal and it was completely cold. They have a problem with that. Usually, I get it and it's just warm but today it was cold. The young guy waiter never came back to ask if my food was good or if I needed anything. Finally, he came at the end and I had just eaten my salad and didn't touch the chicken or the rice. I told him everything was cold and he never came back to service us. The manager came out and said he would just charge me for the salad. He should have comped my entire meal and made me an entire new meal and not charged me.
