(If I could give 10 stars, I would!) I had the most incredible experience at Kababji Grill in Anaheim! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. Mohammed, the manager, made us feel so welcome and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish was packed with flavor, and you can really tell they use the freshest ingredients. But the real cherry on top was the hookah - Ibrahim crafted one of the best hookahs I've ever had. Seriously, I'm in shock at how amazing everything was! If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Incredible food, outstanding service, and a fantastic atmosphere. I can't wait to come back!

First time there last night and it was wonderful. The food is great and not too spendy but well worth it. It's a little tricky to find but definitely worth the hunt. It's BEHIND 513 Brookhurst at 513 1/2 Brookhurst in the same parking lot. You have to drive down a small alleyway between the buildings. The food is great and the service is good. Thanks Kabaji Grill!

I don't usually write reviews, but my experience at Kababji Grill was so upsetting that I need to warn others. While dining, a hookah staff member carrying hot charcoal burned a hole straight through my $4,000 designer jacket. I brought it to the staff's attention immediately, and no one took it seriously. I had to chase them down for two weeks before I was finally able to speak to the owner. To his credit, he took full responsibility and assured me the situation would be resolved but only after asking me to delete all my negative reviews and posts. I agreed and removed everything in good faith. Since then? Silence. He ghosted me. No response, no resolution, no ownership. Just empty words and broken promises. On top of that, the food is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes it's decent, other times it's bland or overly greasy never the same twice. The kitchen takes forever, and the employees often act like you're bothering them just by placing an order. The overall vibe is careless and unprofessional. If you're thinking about dining here, just know that this place doesn't value its customers, their time, or their property. I gave them every chance to make it right. They chose not to.

Went to the new spot, big and outdoor seating etc... when it was small it was better, food quality declined. Using bottled lemon juice on Lebanese food is a no no. Manager that doesn't manage. You can tell by things are ran based on "a La Allah". Sorry but I hope this honesty helps you to be better not to bring you down, but for you to crackdown on whatever is happening here. I miss the old place.

    Something n the food??

The food is completely tasteless--there's no salt, and they don't even offer lime or lemon to enhance the flavor. It's obvious that the meat was cooked quite some time ago and just reheated, resulting in overcooked pieces. Additionally, there was an off-putting???? on the food. I cannot recommend this place at all; it shows a total lack of .

What a hidden gem! The space is small, and food is cooked to order. If you come during peak dining hours you will have to wait for food and a table. Parking can be tough too so be prepared. We came on a Sunday at around 5pm and waited a little over an hour. The food was worth the wait. Had a mixed grill plate, choose your skewers and let the chef do his thing. We tried : lamb chops, chicken tawook, chicken kafta, beef kafta, lamb kafta, ribeye, and sojouk. Aside from maybe needing a little salt, I loved all of the meats . They were all cooked perfectly. Served with two sauces, parsley salad, grilled veggies and some pita. The hummus and fatoush were both great. The rice was ok, not bad not amazing. Only other mistake we made was not ordering fries, they looked great. Can't wait to come back.

Checked out this hot and new restaurant on a whim. Parking was no issue since its located in a strip center. It's a very small eatery but that shouldn't deter you from trying them since I'm a fan of supporting small businesses. I was dining solo so I ordered the half chicken which included pickles, fries, toum and markouk. Portions are generous and the chicken is cooked over charcoal - so tender and flavorful. The toum was one of the best i've eaten. Highly suggest this gem in the rough if your in the neighborhood.

It's only about 7 minutes from the parks, making it the perfect lunch or dinner spot if you're craving something flavorful that won't leave you feeling heavy. Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The spinach pastry was hands down my favorite, perfectly flaky with a delicious savory filling. The potato pastry was a close second and just as satisfying. If you visit, don't skip the pastries! We also tried the steak and chicken kebab combo plate, and both were cooked perfectly. The chicken was especially tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. You can actually watch the meat being cooked fresh in the back, which made the whole experience feel even more authentic. I ordered the veggie plate with falafel, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, hummus, and tahini sauce, and every single item was delicious. The falafel really stood out. It had a perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior with a soft, flavorful center. Dipping it into the baba ganoush, hummus, and tahini made every bite even better. One of my favorite things was that the meal was incredibly satisfying without feeling greasy or overly heavy. It was fresh, filling, and packed with flavor, but I still felt great afterward. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, and the service was impressively fast. They also have a great selection of Mediterranean spices if you want to bring some of those incredible flavors home. Huge compliments to the chef and the entire team. Between the fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent service, Zait Zataar has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite Mediterranean restaurants. Even better -- it was my parents' first time trying Lebanese food, and they absolutely loved it. Watching them light up with every bite was honestly the highlight of the whole meal. Every piece had that beautiful char from the grill -- the kind that makes you pause and appreciate how good simple food can be. The beef kabob was rich, smoky, and incredibly satisfying. Tender enough to cut with a fork, packed with warm spices, and grilled just right. My parents kept saying, "Wow, this is delicious," after every bite -- and honestly, same. The falafel plate was a total winner -- crispy on the outside, soft and herb‑packed on the inside. Paired with creamy hummus, fresh veggies, and that tangy tahini sauce, it felt like the perfect balance of comfort and freshness. My parents were surprised by how much they loved the falafel. This spot delivered true Lebanese comfort food -- bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and plates that make you feel like you're being welcomed into someone's home. Now I will be craving the delicious Aleppo hot sauce knowing I have to brave a nightmare parking lot. It's a teeny tiny parking lot with odd angles and bottlenecks with a surprising amount of restaurants sharing it. Makes zero sense. After circling three times I dropped my wife off and parked across the street risking getting towed. There's a ton of construction so hopefully more parking is on the way. That said, food is outstanding. Service was also perfection. Cuisine here is from Syria so there a lot of interesting dishes I haven't seen before. We started with deep fried spring rolls stuffed with akkawi cheese imported from Syria. Expensive but order it. I ordered the "khashkhash" kabob plate which was 4 grilled kefta kabobs served on a surprisingly spicy sauce of tomatoes and Aleppo peppers. It was served with a mound of buttery rice sprinkled with Aleppo peppers and a cabbage salad. Honestly the best kabops I've ever had. Absolutely loved the flavors. I devoured the whole plate while eyeing the parking lot across the street for tow trucks. Portion could easily be shared. My wife went with the Gyro flatbread. I scoffed saying "this isn't a Greek restaurant" but the joke was on me because I was envious. House made flat bread topped with gyro, tzatziki, pickled onions, tomatoes, feta, sumac, and Aleppo peppers. I took a few bites and retracted my previous scoff. They had a large list of mocktails. I had the Vimto Mojito and my wife had the margarita. Both creative and flavorful. Lastly I tried the "Ashta" for dessert. It's an Aleppo signature per the menu and is a pudding like dessert of clotted cream, pistachio, strawberries, and honey. It's simple yet satisfying. Took me a few bites to acquire the flavor but I loved it more with each bite. My wife didn't care for it. They moved by Angel Stadium from their Brookhurst spot. Great place except the parking. Reservations are odd too. $25 penalty PER PERSON if you miss your reservation. It was definitely motivation to find parking.

To make up for the inconvenience, they also brought us a baklava dessert--only for us to find a hair in it. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, especially for our anniversary dinner. I've been here several times before, but unfortunately, it seems like the quality and service have really gone downhill. The waiter who took out initial order did help out with initial suggestions though, but didn't go into depth about the dishes-just told us what's popular. Ordered the Mandi lamb and the waiter suggested the chicken dish as it was boneless and had a different taste than the Mandi lamb. Small thing to note here- they don't provide water and charge $2.00 for a bottle. Our meal of 2 dishes, a water, and a karak chai came out to $80.00 which is pretty much expensive in my opinion. Most of their main dishes cost $30.00 but are meant to be shared. The Mandi lamb was good! Nothing extraordinary, but the meat was very tender and juicy. It didn''t have any distinct flavor, but did have the slightest tinge of "gamey lamb" taste still. The rice was super flavorful however and not too greasy which I liked. Overall would recommend ending up here if you're looking to splurge, with a big group of people and in the area.
