I dropped my dog off next door at the groomers and was about to head out for lunch. I noticed this place in the same shopping center. I love ethnic foods and coming from a Mediterranean background (Greek) I'm very picky about kabobs. It's one of our specialty foods that we share and I've eaten at some of the finest kabob restaurants throughout the country including at my friend's homes who are great cooks. My favorite kabob is Koobideh which is what I ordered and let me remind you again about how picky I am with this particular type of food. It was excellent. Flavors were spot on, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and the portion was just the right size​. I cleaned my plate and was stuffed but I felt great. It's not too heavy. The price is right for quality food, and the service was excellent. You've earned my business. read more

This place is absolutely my favorite middle-eastern restaurant in town. The food is really good and authentic, the interior is beautifully decorated, and they play cool Pashto music all the time. The guy who normally runs it is super friendly, I think we spent almost an hour just talking to him last time, and he treats us like absolute royalty. My girlfriend isn't big on ethnic food but she loved it, I usually get the lamb kabobs and some nan, with chai to drink and the chai is just like in Afghanistan. The service alone is enough to recommend this place but the food is absolutely fantastic, the portions are perfect and it's just a great restaurant overall. 10/10, wish I could go more. read more

We made a reservation here but arrived to find staff not uniformly wearing masks and so we told them we weren't going to stay. One of the staff then began shouting obscenities at my wife. Never have we experienced anything like it. We were in the parking lot with our daughter and son in law figuring out alternate plans and the same person came out screaming and threatening again telling us to get off his property to the point that I called 911. This restaurant is in a strip mall and we weren't even in front of the place. Another staff person came out and tried to calm this person down and then they wanted us to come in which we weren't comfortable doing and then the other guy came back shouting nor expletives. They accused us of racism which is absolutely not the issue. It's Covid and our expectation is to dine out the law and basic common sense should be followed. Needless to say we will not be returning and I couldn't recommend a place less. read more

Food was excellent. We ordered the daal and chicken and beef skewers. The daal had great flavor, rice was delicious and meat was tender and flavorful. I've spent time in Afghanistan and was excited to see the popular Afghan dish Qabooli Palow on the menu-will definitely try that next time. I highly highly recommend this place. The hummus is silky and well flavored. The rice is buttery and has a beautiful flowery spice I can't put my finger on. I got a lamb kabob and a chicken kabob. The meats were tender and excellently spiced. The dishes reminded me of my grandmother's cooking and I felt happy. They decorated the restaurant well and created a pleasant atmosphere. It was clean and our waiter was a gentleman. I am so glad to have found this place. I am going to be their new regular. read more

I decided to try this place out because of the great reviews that I read on Yelp and I was in the mood for some good Mediterranean food but I ended up completely disappointed!!!! I came at about 1pm to try out the lunch buffet that I had read about and seen advertised as well. I immediately got a bad vibe when I walked in the door and the was only two customers sitting at a table during the busy part of lunch hour. The sign said "seat yourself" and the host sitting behind it didn't even acknowledge our existence, say hello, nothing. So we went ahead and decide to sit at a booth against a wall. When we sat down it felt like the booth cushion was going to explode and have springs pop out. It was the most uncomfortable booth I have ever sat in. WTH??? I saw a lunch menu at the table but no mention of the $8.95 buffet that is advertised. I suggest to the two other people I came with to go take a look at the buffet set up they had to see if it was worth it because I was really skeptical by now. They both came back and said there were no items there which I thought was weird. During this all this time we decided that the booth was just too uncomfortable so we moved to a table and began to look at the menu. I was nervous because one of the persons in my party is vegetarian and notice only a couple of menu items suitable. She said she would pass because nothing sounded appetizing to her. Finally the server who was also the apathetic host came by to ask us if we wanted anything to drink. I asked about the buffet and he said they no longer do the buffet. I said we would drink water and think about what to order. He walked away looking semi bothered. Interestingly enough the 2 gentlemen at the other table were observing us the whole time and one of them started to talk to me. He said that their booth ( a fancy low table with pillows for seats) were also very uncomfortable. He said the food tasted dry and horrible and was too expensive. I don't mind paying higher prices but the food better be good. He said it was the first and the last time he would be eating there. His friend just looked embarrassed to be there. I thanked him from letting us know. I notice by this time that our server was just sitting down reading a paper and not even getting us water. Our party mutually agreed to get the heck out of there rather than drag on a bad experience. The server/host actually looked relieved when we left. Upon leaving it also dawned on me that the place looked like it was just practically going out of business. So glad we left and went to Bombay Grill instead for lunch buffet and fresh food and nice owners who were happy to see us. If I could give zero stars to this place I would do it. If you are one of those people who really like this place you should go soon because it will be out of business at the rate that they are going and rightfully so. This experience was like something bizarre out of the twilight zone. Strange and disappointed. read more

Stopped in for lunch for my first visit at Kabob House. It was a late lunch in the middle of the week at 1:30 pm and there was nobody there except me. Service was prompt and my meal was served fairly quickly. I had the beef Tekka Kabob. It was delicious. Seasoning was very tasty and the beef was cooked perfect and was very tender. The salad was very fresh and came with a very tasty dressing. While there another couple arrived who were regulars. The owner came out and visited with them and then stopped by my table to make sure all was okay. Be sure to try Kabob House and enjoy their Middle Eastern food. read more

This is one of my favorite new spots...I love how authentic the food and atmosphere is...there is some old reminders of past restaurants but all in all a great place. I tried the chicken tikka masala...yumm! Just enough spice to remind you that you are alive! All of the staff including the ladies in the back are mediterranean, reminds me of an old grandma cooking for the family, straight awesome! Fyi...lunch buffet is thursday-friday for 8.99/person. Best food ever I eaten they have Delicious foods and Kabobs and great service and employees

This is the way Mediterranean food should taste in the states. My husband and I went for dinner on a Friday night and it was pretty quiet. The waitress was attentive and very helpful in explaining the menu. We ordered a potato appetize, chicken kabobs and chicken tikka masala for our main course. The food was amazing! I'm incredibly picky about the quality of my food and I wanted to lick my plate. We can't wait to try the lunch buffet! read more

The lamb kebab lunch special was just right! Cilantro sauce and rice and salad tasted fresh, not too spicy but not too boring. The service was great, I always drink a lot of water and rarely have it refilled enough, but these guys were very on top of checking in and refills, even when the place was near full during lunch hours. I had a wonderful experience at Kabob House. The samosas are the best I've ever had, the naan was incredible and my chicken kabob meal was excellent. And the owner/manager was so gracious and kind. To the person who referred to the "sexist" treatment - open your mind to other cultures, be accepting of the different backgrounds people have, and stop judging based on your narrow views of how people should behave. What a great kabob food restaurant! Clean, the staff is friendly and the food is great. Location might be hard to find due to being in a strip mall, west of blimpie in the same complex north west corner on maple grove and emerald. Lunch is the best value try the lamb kabobs, portions are good and the taste is soooo good. I would recommend The beef and chicken curry. Really fantastic food! I had the tender beef kabobs and they were savory with a rich subtle garlic and herb overtone and a little bit of peppery bite that kept it interesting, without overpowering the savoriness. The cilantro dipping sauce added a level of flavor that was great and the basamati rice was browned nicely and could also use the cilantro pesto sauce if you like it a little more flavored. My companions both had the lamb lollipops and I got a taste too! Gourmet quality meat, nicely seared and spiced, rich lamb flavor with no aftertaste. Very good quality and a friendly family staff! If you are in the neighborhood the lunches looked great and really reasonably priced from 6-8$ with both the rice and green salad. read more

What little they offered which was decent is now lost. Ate their a while back and the owner/server ignored the Americans in the restaurant and gave all of his attention to the similar ethnic group. Finally gave up on waiting for check to be picked up after being in the place for well over an hour and paid cash that was slightly less than the bill. read more

My friend and I just tried this place for the first time and it was pretty great. I have a severe allergy to gluten and have to watch what I eat which, let's face it can get pretty boring. We ordered the family style kabobs with a salad and rice. The meat was really tender and juicy and favorful. I loved the dipping sauce that they had with it. The hummus was awesome also! We will definitely be coming back to this place with more friends! Also great if you are doing low carb or keto. read more
