Inside out: the inside is a relaxed environment with nice decor and comfy ambiance. Service: it's up and down but never awful. Food: here is why nothing else matters, this food is divine! This is probably some of the best Indian food around, they have a very even reliable spice system and spice level five actually makes my nose water a little, which is saying something because most of the time when I order spicy, I don't get it. The flavors are still there. Everything is incredibly good quality and so fresh. All of their yogurt drinks are delicious. I cannot recommend the rose one enough! Korma is always a good choice but I don't think you could honestly go wrong with anything - it's become my new favorite place to eat with friends!

For my daughter's birthday weekend she requested Indian food (even though we had it the other night) for dinner so of course I said yes! So Madhuban was on tonight's dinner plans. The menu for us consists of butter chicken, aloo gobi and garlic naan. When Madhuban had their buffet for Covid, they always had a vegetarian dish that I always went back for seconds for. I loved how simple but flavorful this dish was! Well, I found it on their menu and ordered it tonight. Aloo Gobi is potatoes and cauliflower cooked in herbs and spices. It is so good! I can just eat this dish from here and be so happy. It's absolutely delicious! The butter chicken was rich in color and tasty. Paired with the basmati rice or garlic naan.... it's chef's kiss. Both combinations are devine! The chicken was tender and not dry. The butter chicken was fantastic! I'm happy I found my favorite dish tonight. I look forward to having it again. Madhuban is legit.

It is a very small place that turns out really solid cuisine from India. I had the lamb vindaloo. I ordered it New York hot. It was delicious. Tender lamb. Great sauce. The next level heat (Bombay) would have been the wrong move for me. The dish came with generous portion of basmati rice. I added garlic Naan. Turned out to be the right move. The finishing touch was a Stella Artois. Now for a Saturday afternoon nap. This is a place that has earned another visit.

I have been looking for a good Indian restaurant since moving here and 3.5 years later, I found it! The food was authentic and delicious. The service was attentive and gracious. We had to wait 10 minutes as it was packed and there is minimal seating but it wasn't that long and it was well worth it. The tandoori chicken is the best I have ever had and the butter chicken so rich and creamy. The naan bread is a perfect mix fluffy with crunchy outsides. I came for dinner but they have a lunch buffet if you need a quick lunch break. They definitely made a new regular in me!

First time trying and it was solid Indian food. We ended up ordering the following: Non-vegetarian platter: all quite tasty-I love dipping it in the chutneys! I felt some of the pakora was over fried. Samosas could have used a bit more flavor (3/5) Mughlai Vindaloo: big chunks of lamb, chicken, shrimp, and potatoes. I'm used to a more brown curry based sauce (sorry if that's not the proper way to describe it) more than the tomato based vindaloo, but still held its own (3/5) Gobi Manchurian: lightly batter deep fried chunks of cauliflower in an East Asian inspired sauce. I little too sweet for it to be perfect, but they were fried and sauced to perfection (4/5) Chicken Tikka Masala: what everyone loves about this dish is a perfect combo of acidity from the tomato portion of the sauce and the creamy butteriness of the other portion of the sauce. Chicken chunks were good sized and tender. My favorite out of all the dishes. (5/5) Garlic naan: just go ahead and order like 3 orders-you won't be disappointed-good flavor, good consistency-yum! This naan had purpose!!! (6/5!)

What an amazing lunch my wife and I had today at Bombay Grill…read more We were there for a lunch event and boy are we glad we went. Let's start with my favorite, the butter chicken. The chicken was super tender. The sauce was exceptionally flavorful and the spice level was mild enough to not fry your tastebuds. There were so many delicious dishes (tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, vegetable curry, lamb and so much more) which is not surprising considering the award winning chef. Hasan, the Manager / owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to let us know the history of the dishes we were eating and his family's journey that brought them (thank God) to the treasure valley. This place is a treasure in the Boise area and should not be missed whether you are ordering a phenomenal takeout, having a spectacular lunch or grabbing a one of a kind dinner. If you want a great, flavor filled dining experience you have got to try Bombay Grill

Pros: * They have a nice and popular lunch buffet (which comes with personal fresh naan) * The Naan is decent * The Tikka Masala has a nice flavor * Portions are large * Food comes out fast * They are open on Sundays Cons: * Service can be scattered... sometimes it is good, sometimes inconsistent depending on how busy it is * Music can be a bit loud / high energy * Last few times I was there, I had a lazy fly circling my table * The rice doesn't taste that good... rice is so cheap, so the owners should upgrade to a better basmati for a quick boost in quality * If you want something with any heat, you have to order Indian spicy/hot (as the regular "Spicy" tastes more like medium. I have never ordered above this though so I am worried it might jump to being too hot. * Some of the dishes I find favorable (especially the cream ones, but some of them are a bit bland (like the Vindaloo, Curries and Rogan Josh). They are still enjoyable, but if I order a Vindaloo I want it to pop. Overall, a solid place for dine in or takeout. I would recommend the lunch buffet if you want to try this place out first before committing to a larger meal.

I take people here when they visit from out of town to show them great Indian food. The last visit for my wife's birthday just didn't hit the same mark. The service is still good for dine in. Still the same deli-style seating with a nice picture of the Taj Mahal on the wall. I ordered the Boise hot mughlai makhani for the first time. Wife, medium butter chicken, as usual. I thought - lamb and jumbo shrimp could be interesting when these guys do it. But the depth of spice wasn't there. The lamb was tougher than I commonly enjoy, but the shrimp was cooked well. It seemed like they took shortcuts on the sauce. The juxtaposition of the shrimp versus lamb, I guess I wasn't feeling it. Sampled my wife's dish and even that was flat as well. And the garlic naan pretty much had all the garlic loaded into the center one-third, resulting is harshly garlic to plain naan experience. Just a very lower level of good experience this time. I hope it doesn't make a trend. Experience hack - pre-cut the meats in the sauce ahead of putting it over rice to have greater exposure to sauce. They serve large pieces so they cook properly.
