The amount of money you pay for the fistful of food is insane. they know what there doing by barely putting any food in the container because your ordering takeout and don't notice till you get it. Every lebanese Restaurant I have ordered from gives you two chicken kabobs not a small kabob that looked like chickpeas on a toothpick And five vegetables. This location is terrible to say the least. The food isn't as fresh and the soda machines are broken and serve flat beverages. It's deserted on the inside. A small salad w/chicken runs you $14. What the hell? They use prepackaged salad mix and charge double. read more

This is the best option for a clean and delicious Mediterranean diet!! I ordered the lamb kabob dinner combo and it came with TWO full kabobs of meat and veg, I substituted my rice for veggies and there was plenty of them!! The side of hummus that comes with it is a generous amount and it comes with salad too! I got the tebouli which was really tasty. They also provide extra sides of bread and pickled turnips!! All for the price of the combo plate. I am so impressed with the service, food, and the price. My family and I will be eating here often. Thank you for coming to Shelby Township! This was our first try here, it wasn't a great experience but there was enough to bring us back for another go. For appetizer we ordered the fried kibbe and a small hummus. Both were very good and the portions large. The only downside was that they don't have the fresh baked bread like some other places. I ordered the chicken kabob with rice. It was very good, but the lemon lentil soup that came with it was something I'll skip next time. Now this is were we were really let down. My wife ordered the fatoush salad with chicken. The chicken was hard, dry and inedible. And the tomatoes were bad also. Next time we'll skip that, but will give them another shot. I really want this place to succeed, as we need more easy dinner options in the area. read more

I normally don't give reviews but this gem deserves my vote. Ike's Express offers Lebanese food at it's finest! I've ordered here 3x and each time I'm more impressed than the previous order. They offer vegetarian options (full of flavor) & meat dishes that are so fresh and flavorful. I've ordered meat & veggie cabbage rolls, the super vegetarian wrap, beef shawarma wrap, gyro wrap, and grilled vegetables. ALL AMAZING! My teenage son loves the food, too! Thank you. read more

The first time I went there was good. The food was fresh and tasty. I went another time and ordered prior to going....let's just say the lady was so rude to me. I got there and she screamed at me because I asked for a side of hummus and a side of garlic. She snatched the bag and corrected the amount. Started speaking badly about me in her language which is mine so i understood. She put the bag on the counter and didn't even say thank you. Very rude. I was going to have my company order from them but no longer will be doing that. Sad because the food is very good. read more

Awwwwwww-righty ... this location was a huge disappointment with the last restaurant that was here, someone from Ike's Express read my review of that other place and hoped I'd give them a shot and I did so... Total review not just a quicky yea or nay so please bare with me. As they recently opened I figured now is the best time to start my checking out of the place, usually I give restaurants 3 shots to wow me or not cuz anybody can have an awesome day and days where nothing goes right and its a comedy of errors but first impressions count the most so heres mine: I first noticed the guys in the kitchen over the open order window, a couple of burly gentlemen running the kitchen. Off to a good start there cuz if anybody is gonna make 'guy food' its gonna be a man that looks like they know how to eat and where to find it. The ladies running the register and packing the takeouts were both nice enough and things were running smooth. Staff gets 5 stars. I ordered a Gyro (sandwich only) and side of 'spinach pie'. The gyro was killer!! Not what I was expecting at all, hefty and nicely seasoned made for a good lunch. The wrap on it was gently warmed almost like rolled on a flat grill to seal it so everything didn't fall out or tear on the first few bites which was a nice touch. Loved it , I will be back for more of those. Their version of spinach pie though was cute in the presentation with the tri-fold pocket and the veggie garnish was like a mini salad topped with slivered pickled beets. While it looked cute I am not a fan of pickled stuff but there are tons of variations when it comes to Mediteranian recipes and peoples interpetations of what they can expect. The spinach pie while it looked cute once again more pickled stuff this time was lightly layered leafs. Not my cup of tea but it wasn't horrible just not on my favorite list. I have friends at work that ate here already and they liked them so I'm not gonna knock them. Ike's did good , they got my business again on that gyro alone but the folks that run it better get used to me cuz I think I'm gonna be a regular at lunch time again... hope they keep it up read more

Wow!! Ike's gives you a LOT of food for a reasonable price. And its fresh and delicious. We got a 2 combo plates, 1 with chicken shwarma, 1 with a lamb kabob, both with Greek salad, hummus and extra veggies instead of a starch. So much food. The salad and hummus came in their own container. Everything was very tasty. We got rice pudding too. Definately will be going back again. read more

My friend and I got the gyro and fries for lunch. The meat off the rotisserie is very good. The gyro construction is pretty good as well. The problem is that I asked to add feta cheese but it came on the side so I had to do dismantle the wrap to put it on. Why wouldn't he just put it on the gyro‽ Also, there should have been way more tzatziki sauce on it. The size of the gyro was definitely large and they didn't skimp one the fries either. Dining in or taking out doesn't change what the food is put in which was slightly annoying, but I'm willing to get over it as this is deemed an "express". I'll return for the gyro but will request cheese to be put in it as well as more sauce. read more

We got a chicken kafta and kabob kafta and fries to go..... The chicken was dry and pasty... The kabob itself was a bit skinny...lots of sandwich with little meat A little skimpy on the ingredients...could be a little more generous with hummus... tomatoes...how about a real pickle slice? Tasted ok....but with more of the above, more flavor! We will give it another try and hoping to get a better sandwich... read more

We were excited at a new option for carry out in the area. The food was decent enough however items were left out of our carry out order and my sandwich did not have the ingredients that were ordered. Staff seemed very confused and the person who took our order was incompetent. Will likely give another try since it was convenient and the food that was received tasted good enough. My hope is with time they will improve otherwise they will have the same fate as previous restaurants in this location. read more

Just visited for the first time - so my 5 star is only based on 1 visit... had their Super Veggie Pita - it was very good. Large & filling, wrapped good . It was a little messy to eat so I used a fork & knife instead. (Hummus sandwiches do tend to be that way). I had called ahead on a Tuesday at noon & my sandwich was ready in 15 minutes. I will definitely try them again for a dinner soon, & more lunches as they are down the street from where I work! read more
