Food is AMAZING! Delivery service is beyond awful. I was furious at the delivery person - especially after adding a good tip to my order. He would not bring my food up to my apartment, because he said that there was no where to park. I told him to leave the food with the door person. Yet after I put on shoes, got the elevator and walked down the hallway between buildings- when I get there he is still in the lobby!!. I said to him, and I'll say to you - if he was still in my lobby in the time I took me to come to the lobby, then he had time and he should have earned his tip by bringing my food upstairs to my apartment! The first time I went there, I got the lamb shank and the rice with dates and stuff. The lamb shank had no flavor and came in a bland tomato soup. The second time I ordered delivery. It took over an hour to receive and literally everything tasted like salt. The falafel - salt. Tabouli which is made of almost entirely fresh parsley - all I could taste was salt. Chicken kabob -salt. All of it was so salty, it was literally inedible I've learned my lesson and am never going back. Take my advice and never try it in the first place. read more

The food is great and the atmosphere is very lively. When you walk in, you can either sit down and look at the menu or order right away at the counter. Either way, you will have to order at the counter. A waiter will not come and take your order at the table. However, the wait staff will bring you napkins, utensils, and drinks. They are very friendly. All of their servings are massive and are meant to be shared. My fiancé and I love their saffron butter chicken with dill rice and their lamb platters. I decided on the regular rice. For some reason I couldn't wrap my mind around getting rice with fruit in it, but they had plenty of options! Took about 15 minutes to get our food, and it was a lot! It's served on top of bread with the meat on one side and the huge serving of rice on the other. The rice was delicious and fluffy. Had a very nice flavor, and you could definetely taste the butter. I happen to like the food. Seems that all middle eastern restaurants are open in chicago. I guess this would explain my weekly sampling of different turkish coffees lol. Anyways...I went with the lamb loin and asked them to sub the rice for salad which they did do...I feel like the lamb should be seasoned better at a Persian place. The owner I think owns the other place across the street noon a kabob and I recall having lamb that was nice and juicy. My friend asked for bbq sauce for his chicken skewers but were told they dont have any. Our waitress was helpful and told me my baklava would be on the house. She also included something else in the dessert but I was not sure what it was only that it was crispy and had a honey flavor..
