Just went here to order a gyro sandwich for $12 and received the tiniest portion I have ever received from a local Mediterranean place. Have to be honest the price doesn't match the food you receive. I know at least 3 nearby places that give you way more for the same or less price. Please work on your portion sizes or else your place isn't worth it Also had a friend order separately and the workers never called out his order. He had to ask if his order ready and it was just sitting on the counter for 8 mins already at that point. Do better read more

Falafel & Grill was a pleasant surprise for me. It was late at night and I had a strong taste for some grilled meat and rice, so I was looking for a late night place in Yelp and came across this joint. I am familiar with the area but didn't know that this restaurant was located in this small strip mall. I pass this strip mall all the time when going to the Alamo Drafthouse for movies, but never thought about pulling into here due to the small parking lot and that it is always crowded. Walking into the restaurant, there is a kiosk where you can order your food. As it was late and I just wanted to eat and not make a lunch for tomorrow, I ordered a Spinach Pie and a Combination Meat Plate (Beef kabob, Kifta kabob, Chicken Kabob and Chicken shawarma. Served with Rice, Salad, Hummus and pita bread) so I could have leftovers to take to work the next day. I placed my order, paid for it and had to wait for about 15 minutes to get my food. While waiting, I was able to look around the restaurant to see it was clean and brightly lit. The table and floors were clean and there were a few customers dining inside. The staff was nice and friendly as well. I got my food home and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food in the combo dish. There was a good amount of meat and rice, enough for two people easily. The combo dish is $25 but well worth it. The meat was cooked nicely and had good flavor. As good as that combo dish was, that Spinach pie was on point! The flavor was great and the dough was nice and fluffy/tasty. The food was so good that I decided to put in an order on Grubhub the next night to get it for dinner for later in the week. I wanted to place an order on Grubhub to get free delivery as a Prime member, but the online menu did not have the Spinach pies listed, so I ended up having to call into the restaurant to place my order. When you call into the restaurant, they take your number and will send you a link to pay for your order and to send them your address and delivery instructions. I ordered the same items again, but got extra Spinach pies and a Greek Salad with chicken as well. The delivery guy was nice and brought my food up to me as instructed. The salad was fresh and there was plenty of Chicken Shawarma on top of it. I ended up having that for dinner as well as one of the Spinach pies and it was delish. The Chicken Shawarma was very nice and again, this was a decent size salad and was filling along with the pie. I definitely want to go back to try some of the other dishes that they have, like the wraps and the gyro plate and/or wrap. There is a lentil soup I would also like to try as well. Such a cute spot! There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors under the covered patio, and the service is quick and welcoming. The real highlight, though, is the food. We tried the chicken kabob, chicken shawarma sandwich, beef kabob, and of course a falafel--and every bite was delicious. A solid place worth visiting! read more

I ordered the beef kebab platter not the cheapest. The salad was old and the hummus was milky with a liquid puddle at the bottom. It looked more like hummus soup. The pita bread was very dry and maybe old. The rice was excellent and the beef was excellent. For the price I paid definitely will not be ordering from here again good luck. read more

I can't believe it has taken me so long to come here! I live nearby and every once in awhile it's nice to grab lunch out when the fridge is empty or I don't have time to cook. I met my parents and husband here around 1:30 for a quick lunch. The inside is so cute! It's bright, clean, and simplistic. To be honest, I was so hungry I didn't even look at the menu and instead ordered the first thing I saw, a chicken shawarma platter. The flavorful, thinly sliced chicken is served with rice, a small salad, hummus, and pita bread. Everything was very tasty, and the serving size was huge! More than enough to take home, and they had to-go boxes readily available which was great. My mom ordered the babaganoush and it was fantastic! I actually think I preferred it slightly to the hummus, but both were excellent. She also ordered the lentil soup and said that was great as well. We all really enjoyed our meals, and I'm excited to come back and try more of the menu. The kabobs and falafels are next on my list to try! read more

Can't believe it took me this long to discover this place. Talk about a great combination of fast efficient clean and tasty. This place fires on all cylinders. I ordered a meat combination, a side of falafel and a cup of lentil soup. Everything was delicious. I'm from the Middle East and everything tasted authentic. The restaurant has a nice clean atmosphere and friendly service. It seems to be a busy spot frequented by lots of cab and uber drivers. This for me is usually the sign of a hidden gem. Restaurant is located on the southwest corner of Clark and Montrose in a busy strip mall. But there was available parking even on a busy night. I love this place, but out of principle am having a hard time continuing to order, which is sad. They don't include sauces with anything! It would be like McDonald charging for ketchup or Taco Bell charging for sauce. I pay $25 for their combo plate and then have to pay $.75 each for any sauces I want. At least two sauces should come with a $25 entree and one sauce with each wrap or gyro. It just seems so greedy. I really hope they consider at least including one sauce with everything! read more

Another 30 mins went by with no call or delivery, so I called back for an update and they said they could not contact the driver (yet never contacted me) so I asked to cancel the order. The store agreed, however the driver eventually showed up another 15 mins later, called - and when I told him I had canceled he left the food anyway (which was ice cold to the touch). Came with a large group on a late Sunday afternoon. Easy to order, kiosks available but can also just order with the staff behind the counter. I was soooo wowed by the menu. I am usually stuck between ordering falafel and shawarma, but they have solved this with the perfect answer, a falafel AND chicken shawarma wrap. How fantastic is that?! I may have just found my new go-to Mediterranean take out spot! Falafel & Grill is serving fresh, flavorful Lebanese food, an array of menu options that will leave you more than satisfied. The hummus is rich and silky smooth, while the falafel are light and airy on the inside, with a nice crunch on the outside. The grape leaves are also quite tasty, with a really nice texture and mouthfeel (though I could have done without the olives). The Jerusalem salad is a nice palette cleanser, not overly drenched in sauce. The tabbouleh was a bit too heavy on the dressing, but clearly flesh. The pita was excellent, like the hummus something you'd more expect to find at a finer dining establishment. The inside of the restaurant is clean and bright, many families were enjoying meals as I picked up my order. Everything is served quite quickly as well. I may have wanted a little more for $16, but overall portion sizes look very reasonable for the price tag. A big step up from your run-of-the-mill spots, worth the extra few bucks. read more

One of my fav mediterranean places to eat at! Their food quality is the guys working behind the counter are always nice and helpful! The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. The combo meals are a great value for larger appetites as they come with salad and hummus while the wraps are a great option for a lighter fare. I certainly recommend getting something that has it. The best sounding item was the Falafel Plate. It's about $13, but it came with a lot. We got a plate for sharing. Filling and glad we shared it. There was a ton of falafel, along with hummus, pita bread, rice, and salad. Other menu items available include grape leaves and waffle fries. The falafel wraps look pretty big and I would like to get one. Get anything that has falafel because it's the best thing you can get here. This has become our go to place for delicious Mediterranean fast food. Falafel & Grill is located in an unassuming strip mall at the corner of Montrose and Clark. But that's a good thing because there is plenty of parking, and they have a large, sparkling clean space. The menu has all of the typical Middle-Eastern food favorites, but it's all fresh, delicious and served fast. Their hummus is silky, smooth and served with herbs, whole chickpeas and soft pita...it's addictive. The chicken used in the kabobs is marinated so it's juicy and flavorful...the rice on the side is fluffy and perfectly cooked. The salads are fresh and delicious. Their falafels are crispy and perfectly seasoned. Some reviewers have commented about high prices, but the portions are big, the quality is high...and one order of kabobs is enough to feed two people. Lately, we have been opting to order an extra kabob, and a side appetizer (like the falafels), so we can get four meals out of one order. Service is friendly and efficient, and orders are prepared quickly. The dining room is sparkling clean and bright. There is no horsing around at this place with disengaged and disinterested workers.
