    Mediterranean Salad with Chicken Shawarma
    Julisa W.

We were in the area and I was craving some shawarma and stumbled upon this little gem. My partner got the gyro plate and we agreed we could've shared that together! Portions were huge. Rice was super flavorful as was the gyro meat. We both agreed this dish was the star! The pita bread was fluffy but crispy at the same time. I got the Mediterranean chicken shawarma salad and it was flavorful! The chicken itself was kind of dry but it tasted great. Salad was fresh and light. Excellent quality of ingredients. Got a baklava because it was staring me in the face; yummy but very honey forward. Not my favorite but not the worst, probably would just try something else next time. The restaurant itself was very simple, nothing to see except the menu and the kitchen. The service was great and it came out crazy quick. The cashier was personable and the kitchen staff seemed chill. Definitely a good spot to try!

Came across Sinya via DoorDash when craving Mediterranean! Portion size is definitely big enough to share or have leftovers for a couple of days. The meat was tender but wasn't as seasoned with the Mediterranean spices that makes it so very special. I would order again to see if it's a one-off experience. Will keep you posted...

The pita and hummus weren't as good as I remembered. The hummus flavor tasted different and kinda off this time. 5/10. The mixed entree had juicy meat, but both the meat and rice were missing the flavor I remembered. 7/10. The salted caramel tahini mocha mostly tasted like milk and barely had any espresso flavor. 3/10. The staff taking our order looked like they did not want to be there. 5/10 service. Vibes were still solid though, just a casual spot overall. 7/10.

Well packaged delivery. Fresh flavors and I appreciated the lemon wedges that were included in both the lentil soup and the tabouli. The tabouli was so delish! The falafel wrap was nice too as was the lentil soup

The food was great, service was good and they were very quick and efficient. The one thing I like about this place is that they use a very thin slicer to pull the gyros and you do not see a lot of places do that anymore. The thin gyros makes for such a nice wrap or sandwich. Please don't change that! The chicken is cooked nicely and has a little tartness to it which pairs nicely with the tahini and red sauce within the wrap. Overall, the place has great food at a great price and a great pick up spot if you're in the mood for some thinly sliced meats.

Wonderful, clean, quick, and such a great addition to Montrose. You go up to the counter to order and they'll bring it to your table. We were given some complimentary falafel which was delicious. The chicken shawarma wrap with waffle fries and mint lemonade are light and tasty.

Pretty solid middle eastern joint. The chicken was moist, the hummus is good with a healthy dap of olive oil on top. I think the salad could use a better dressing and I think the plate would greatly benefit from some kind of sauce accompaniment. Although, I am being a little nitpicky here.

Food was delicious, meat was moist and tender, rice was seasoned very well and tasty, salad was fresh and seasoned. Humus was good along with the pita bread they provided. Lentil soup was very good, creamy and savory, unlike the watered down some places have. No wonder they have 5 stars on Yelp. I've bookmarked this place for the next time I'm back in the neighborhood. Delish! They cater too, a bonus option for future parties. They have a nice no frill outdoor shaded seating, and the service is excellent!

Tried their delivery this week and super impressed with the quality and flavor. Got the kabob combo with hummus and salad. Good value and tastes delicious! Husband got some other plates and he was equally impressed by the food here. We also tried the bakavla and it was delicious! A++!

Seriously so impressed with this place. I got the meal/platter and was pleasantly surprised by how much food I got. The quality was also top tier, and it came out hot and fast. I was able to get three meals out of this one order as the leftovers were plentiful. You can't beat the cost either. It's a really solid restaurant tucked away in the corner of River North. I would definitely go here more often if I lived closer but will definitely stop by anytime I'm on the area!

Sooooo good. I got the entree and it was heavy on the amount of meat. Such a good bang for your buck.

I decided to work from this café one day and it was a great spot to be productive. There was plenty of seating and charging ports available. They had free Wi-Fi and the noise was at a reasonable volume. They have a full breakfast menu in the morning, offering different coffee drinks and breakfast items. During lunch, you can order many classic Middle Eastern salads and sandwiches. I ordered the Fattoush salad and a side of pita bread. It was a huge portion and very delicious!

This place is excellent and is now one of my go-to spots when visiting Chicago. Food is delicious and prices are solid. I've gotten both the chicken shawarma wrap and the salad with chicken. Both were filling and hit the spot. Would absolutely get them again. Wish extra sauce wasn't extra as their hot sauce is delicious!

Dresscode: Smart Casual / Casual Noise Level: Medium (it gets buzzy after 5:30pm) Thursday night Happy Hour was lively, so it took about 10-15 minutes for someone to come around, but service was attentive once we got going. The food is where Ēma really shines. From the Happy Hour menu, the Charred Eggplant Hummus and Crispy Potatoes were generously portioned and great for sharing. On the main menu, the Indian-Mediterranean fusion Bhel Hummus was a party for my taste buds, while the Hot Honey Halloumi and Chicken Kefta rounded out the table nicely. The halloumi is more of a side than a main, but that sweet-and-salty hot honey combo was chef's kiss. For our finisher, the Chocolate Torte knocked us out. Decadent, delicious and chocolate with lots of depth. Overall, Ēma is an excellent spot to order a bunch of dishes for the table and get an elevated meal without feeling stuffy, and delicious without taking itself too seriously. DO's: - Make a reservation ahead, especially for happy hour 4-6pm - Treat apps like small plates, order 2-3 to sample - Entertain their wine list, they have a lot! - Bring vegetarians here, there are plenty of options DON'Ts: - Dismiss the desert menu. It's fantastic and shareable! - Forget to ask for extra pita with the hummus! - Miss out on the LettuceEats loyalty points (check-in with your server before paying your check)

Enough to share with 2-3 people *Braised short rib sandwich - In a pita stuffed with cabbage. The beef was extremely tender. Unfortunately there was several large pieces of cabbage core vs shredded. The fries were crispy and seasoned with za'atar. The au jus provided, tasted it had a bit of red wine vinegar. That was a winner! Would order both items again. The decor is beautiful. Sat at the bar and the bartender wasn't in the best mood. Minus one star for the combination of the large pieces of cabbage core and sat at the bar for about 15 minutes - no one was there to serve us.

I called them because I wasn't sure if the online version would be too slow. We were a group of three that came in Saturday night at 7 pm. It was moderately busy. The staff were all welcoming with smiles on their faces and attentiveness. Prices were fair for the amount of food you receive. Food portions are colossal so I would recommend one appetizer and one entree if you are a couple. They give you a complimentary dish. We ordered arayes with meat, meat toshka, mixed grill with baba ghanouj, fillet of basa fried, and mint lemonade. They also offer you fresh Arabic coffee before you leave. This is about a 4.5-5. -arayes with meat 4 - this was not bad. It's like a tamer version of the meat toshka. -meat toshka 5 - I prefer this over the arayes because they add the Syrian cheese. This one was bursting with flavor the moment you took a bite out of it. The minced beef and lamb just melt in the mouth. -mixed grill 5 - this came with 3 big skewers (shish kabab, kufta kabab, and chicken tawook. It also has tomatoes and onions to help cut down the meat when digesting. There are two heaping portions of biryani and saffron rice and baba ghanouj. The baba ghanouj was creamy and flavorful. It goes well with the pita bread. The meats were cooked medium well unless you want something. I think next time I'll ask for the shish kababs to be cooked medium rare or medium for a more juicy taste. The chicken tawook and kufta were both succulent. -fillet of basa fried 5 - the two pieces of basa fillet were astronomical. It also comes with two different kinds of rice. The fish was flaky, moist, and seasoned. Make sure you add the lemon and eat it with the sauce. -mint lemonade 5 - this was very refreshing after eating a heavy meal.

The seats have no cushions so not comfortable to sit at for any long period of time. Staff was friendly and food came out very quickly, and waters filled. We ordered the small plate of hummus and large plate of pork shoulder. The hummus was delicious and came with with two large pita breads which were fluffy and freshly made. The pork shoulder (no bones) was very tender and a heavier dish but the sauce and vegetables in the dish were delicious. For two mildly hungry adults this was the perfect amount of food. We came here due to the Chase Sapphire Reserve tables credit. The pork shoulder was a bit pricey for the portions but it is a $$$ restaurant. But we thought the hummus was a great size for its price.
