A) kabob was a little dry to be considered Persian (literally soak in onion juice to keep it juicey) B) hummus , baba ghaunush are not Persian. Pisses me off people can't just try authentic food. Hummus is delicious but it does not go with Persian food. We also ordered veg appetizer platter with pita, Veg house, and combination grill, all these come with rice, butter and lemon,The portions are huge. You bring back left overs for the next day. The staff is nice and they are doing their best to attend all guests and the service is also good. There is decent amount of space but the place is crazy busy. And it's too too loud and noisy. Chicken kebabs and the beef sultana were succulent and flavorful, grilled perfectly. It's a lot of food so go with an appetite. One of the doctors I work with knows the owner and manager, so he was generous in getting us seated right away and added some complimentary apps, Persian tea, and a desert. our second time here, i asked for the lavash bread and got it in addition to the pita for no extra charge. The ladies behind us still only got pita so I guess you have to ask for it! Feel like the hummus was not as fresh as our first time there. We also got less meat and hummus than our first time visiting, which was confusing but tasty nonetheless. A little disappointed because one side of my pita bread was burnt today. Cold the first time burnt the second. Maybe third times the charm? After learning about the free valet parking, we brought our car up to the front of the restaurant and a lady came outside and told us to park as close up to the car in front of us as possible. Then, a different man came outside (I believe he was her boss) and told us to park as far back as possible. We told him that the lady told us to park here, and he rolled his eyes and said "she doesnt know anything." This place is a hidden gem! I have been living in Albany park for the past 5 years and finally tried Kabobi Grill tonight with my mom! All of the staff were extremely friendly. It is BYOB so we brought some wine and staff were very accommodating with bringing us glasses and ice. We got the hummus, tomato lentil soup, shrimp entree, and shrimp/salmon entree. Everything was absolutely amazing! The shrimp and salmon were perfectly cooked and very well seasoned! The tomato lentil soup was so flavorful and very comforting on a cold night. I had the beef kabobs and they were so thick and juicy and the rice ugh I I couldn't eat it all. I didn't even finish my first skewer. One of my relatives had a vegetarian dish and even that was good! And the portions were more than enough! Bottom line, come here. Eat. I've always been a customer here but Im never coming back. The meat was red and uncooked and COLD. The chicken was even colder and it was pink. The rice had no flavor and was COLD. Every thing was COLD. I three it away and called them to make a complaint. The manager yelled at me and did t let me talk. Im never going back to this dirty filthy restaurant. read more

There was long hair in both of our rice orders, and when we politely informed the manager/owner, Gholam, he accused all five of us customers of lying in a very rude tone. He suddenly left the table without listening to us when we were in middle of explaining that we didn't want a refund, but rather wanted to inform him for the sake of health and his business. My family, my friends, and I have been frequenting this place every weekend for last 8 years, I was shocked by his poor customer service. Additionally, the table we were sitting at had a wobbly leg. And, they automatically charged a 15% service for each order separately and a $2 surcharge fee, even though no waiter took our order at table and you always order at the cashier, I wouldn't mind the tip if he didn't accuse his customers of lying loudly in front of everyone on Mothers' days weekend.
