Our burrito and enchilada were not good. The yucca was fried too hard. We will stick with their chicken.

Crispy Fried Goodness....that Hits the Spot!…read more This was the first time I trying this restaurant. I came here, starving after hanging out with some friends at the nearbyFish Market Bar. I must say I was a little hesitant due to the place being completely empty on a Friday night, but I was like .... I'll take one for the team because I was starving and needed something to stop up the libation. lol. To my surprise, the food was actually good--well, shall I say decent. Good as in average in taste, but was prepared fresh and made to order. Also, the restaurant was very clean, the portions were huge and priced well. I ordered triple platter that came with fried shrimp, fried wings, and fried Whiting with a side of fries. I also tried a triple combo platter that was served with chicken tenders, shrimp, and fried Whiting with a side of hush puppies. The food was fried well, not greasy and I could tell it was fresh.... Not preheated or precooked. One stand out for sure where the chicken tenders! They were my favorite of everything I tried. They were cooked to perfection!! Not to mention, tasted great! I would say both platters and the food could have used a bit more seasoning..... especially that fried whiting and fries. The fried whiting and fries were both bland for my taste. The fries need to be changed out or stepped up to "crinkled fries!".....love them things!! The fries served here are more "regular cut" type fries that left a lot to be desired. But, overall no disappointment here. Besides, better to be served food that's not overly salty-seasoned......because I like to doctor up my food at home. It's the best way to layer in flavor and control the overuse or amount of sodium places most establishments use around the DMV. This place also serve gyros, hamburgers, subs and steak & cheese sandwiches....of course fried seafood and other menu items....including desserts! There were tons of cakes to choose from with a Strawberry Hennessy Cake that definitely caught my eye and was calling me while o was there...but I resisted. lol. Also, one plus that's stood out about this place is that they offer lots of sides to compliment your dish such as seasoned fries, okra, mac n' cheese, collards, salads, and hush puppies to name a few. In all, not a bad visit or experience. The food was good as well as the price point. Despite being light on this seasoning tip, I had no complaints. The great customer service and cleanings of the restaurant makes up for it...imho. Not to mention, I felt more relieved seeing more people come into the restaurant to place and pick up orders as I was leaving. Better tasting fries, and a little seasoning on the fish..... would have easily tipped this place to 4 stars!...imho I would try Sharks Fish & Chicken again and recommend!

Shark's Fish, Chicken and Seafood…read more Well, this turned out to be an unfortunate decision on my part. My mom had a taste for fish with soul-food sides, and since we were in the Clinton, MD area, I opened the Google box and searched exactly that. Bingo... Shark's appeared. But after spending thirty-some dollars, I would've preferred if an actual shark had appeared. As always, I'll be fair and balanced. Starting with the customer service: it wasn't bad. The gentleman at the counter was polite, and there were no pushy upsells. The establishment is your standard strip-mall carryout. Aside from the bathrooms being out of order, there wasn't much else to report. Now, as for the food. I ordered fish, greens, "cajun rice" (or "dirty rice," depending on what they call it), and mac and cheese. From the first bite, I knew I had messed up. I dipped into the rice and thought, "Oh wow, did I order vinegar and rice?" Hesitant to let my mom try any of it, I insisted on sampling everything first. Glad, yet mad that I did. The fish carried the souls of every fish cooked before it. The greens were completely void of soul, yet somehow had a high concentration of soil. And the mac and cheese? Well, that dish would get you banned from the 'cookout'. If you know what I mean! Recommendation level: Go only if you plan to join me in a protest.

Famous Chef Thomas Reviews: Sardi's Pollo a la Brasa (Clinton, Maryland)…read more The Verdict If a restaurant wishes to test its understanding of hospitality, it is not found in the complexity of its menu, but in the grace with which it handles a simple request. At Sardi's in Clinton, the answer, in this case, is clear, and it is not favorable. The Examination A. Foundation : The Establishment Sardi's has long positioned itself as a dependable destination for rotisserie chicken and Peruvian-inspired comfort. For years, The Famous Chef Thomas was not merely a customer, but a consistent patron, returning regularly, investing both time and money into the establishment. The food, while not revolutionary, delivered consistency. The relationship, however, was the true asset. And that is precisely what was mishandled. B. Structure : The Request The request was simple: A standard side of mixed vegetables, unchanged in portion, slightly adjusted in composition. A modest increase in corn within a dish that already contains corn. No additional cost burden. No operational disruption. No deviation from the existing ingredients. This is not culinary innovation. This is basic accommodation. Yet, the request was denied. Not once, but twice. C. Discipline or Failure : The Breakdown A single denial may be dismissed as an oversight. A second confirms policy over judgment. Escalation to management should represent recovery, an opportunity to restore the customer relationship. Instead, it compounded the failure. The response, lacking flexibility and refinement, revealed something deeper than a one-off interaction. It exposed a systemic issue: a disregard for customer value and an unwillingness to exercise discretion in service. When a loyal patron, one contributing thousands of dollars annually; cannot receive a minor, reasonable accommodation, the issue is no longer operational. It is cultural. Hospitality Assessment First Impression: Previously reliable, now overshadowed by rigidity Hospitality: Inflexible, dismissive under simple pressure Execution of Food: Consistent but ultimately secondary Authenticity / Identity: Undermined by lack of service awareness Value Alignment: Broken, price is no longer justified without respect Final Judgment The Famous Chef Thomas does not measure a restaurant solely by its food, but by its understanding of the guest. At Sardi's in Clinton, a small request revealed a large truth. A year has passed since that final interaction. No return visits. No further patronage. Thousands in lost revenue, exchanged for a refusal that should never have occurred. The Famous Chef Thomas does not recommend this establishment.

First, let me say I like this place. However, I've only done carryout. It's always clean and homesome. One night I stumbled upon a book club meeting in the restaurant. Local poets/writers were sharing their work which was quite impressive. The food is consistently decent and seemingly fresh. I particularly like the catfish and greens. And now it's the greens that I want to address. You get a very small portion as a side dish. I think it's $8. At least twice I've witnessed the person preparing the greens to-go realize they needed to put more greens and less juice. Well today topped any other day as far as the portion of greens I received with my dinner. In the attached pics, it's a large piece of skin that came out of the small container of greens and a picture of what was left once it was removed. That's it. That's the review. Smh

Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed with the food quality. The chicken wingettes were burnt, and the crab hash was overwhelmingly covered in Old Bay seasoning. I frequent M&H often, but this was by far the worst experience I've had, especially considering the price point. Had I not been rushing, already home and between meetings, I would have returned the entire order.

For a fast-food restaurant, the food is consistently fresh and good quality. My favorite order is a small side of rice, corn, guacamole, and their salad dressing to go. Those sides pair perfectly with the homemade trout bowls I make at home. The dining area is always clean, and there are plenty of clean tables available for guests. The only downside is the utensil station, which often looks messy and could use more attention. Overall, the customer service has always been friendly and efficient whenever I visit, making this a reliable location that I enjoy coming back to. I don't know how to give a 3.5 but that's the rating I give them.

I only go to one out of convenience or if there's nothing else semi-healthy around that is quick to grab.I normally would avoid Chipotle due to the lack of customer service, skimpy portions, and overall taste of the food is never consistent. But this time around, I must say this particular Chipotle stepped it up some. As soon I walked in, I was greeted by members on the team. This is something I hadn't experience before. As I was deciding on what I want to order, I couldn't help but notice how fresh everything looked. The ingredients, toppings and meats were all calling me. Not to mention the protein items all seemed freshly cooked, juicy looking and not dried out....for a change. I ordered a half chicken and steak salad bowl that was perfect. Perfect both in portions and flavor! The meats were so tender and juicy. The lettuce was crisp and crunchy. I can actually taste spices on the meats and more importantly, the main ingredient which is the name of this place....the "Chipotle" pepper, smoky flavah was all up in my bowl....with the Tobasco 'Chipotle' sauce of course for even added taste. For once, I walked out of a Chipotle without feeling like I paid for an overpriced -- bland meal. lol. The portions were even something to applaud as well. I left this location completely full, satisfied and all smiles, At any rate, glad to see this loction stepping things up a bit because other locations around the DMVhave been disappointing and I would often avoid it due to poor service/food. I have now been redeemed. If I'm ever in the mood for this stuff again, I know this location of Chipotle may be a viable option. Thanks for renewing my interest to start coming back here again. As I am putting in my phone number a screen comes up about points and I have to hit yes that I want them to contact me and all of that...well I don't want all of that...he comes to the counter and I'm like I want to bypass all of this because all I'm going to do is opt out. Instead of him telling me the kiosk is on the wall he just stands there and I tell him I cannot get past all of this stuff to get to make my order....so the bottom line...the little girl he was flirting with paid but the rest of the screens were closing out her order. He is trying to tell me what the points are and I'm like I know what the points are but I just want to order and not do all of this. I kid you not, he then points to the wall where the kiosk is and says you have to order at the kiosk. I came in looking at the menu not all around the place. Mind you I asked him more than one time if this was the end of her order and her simple self says nothing. I just turned and left because if you were paying attention properly you would have pointed to the kiosk when I first came in instead of flirting and looking like you wanted to out her on a plate Mr. Cameroon. Needless to say...Never will I go there again.
