FYI, this is a VERY GOOD REVIEW! I contacted the owner informing them that I had a very rough day at the Westheimer location. I explained the details of the experience that lead up to my frustration. I explained that after getting my hair braided, I looked at my hair when I got home, it was too much hair and too big and just not the style that I was expecting or had presented to them! But they tried to achieve the style. I Explained that I have been a loyal customer for many, many years and have referred SEVERAL people to them. I inquired if they could redo my hair. All I can say is that, the owner was VERY accommodating. The owner heard my concern and addressed it! Not only did they redo my hair, but I love it sooo much! Came in for a two strand twist. Very simple but upon arrival one of the workers didn't even greet me but instead gave me a nasty look. I sit down in the chair and she hands me a brush to brush my own hair. I didn't come here to do my own hair that's what I'm paying you for. Then after I had brushed out half my head already she says she can't do anything with my hair. Like wow thanks how about telling me you're unable to do your job before you have me comb out half my hair and now half my head looks crazy. read more

My daughter and I were given an appointment and when we get there they had the wrong time for her. She had to wait an additional 3 hours for an appointment. The next morning I get a text message reminding her of an appointment. I called the manager and voiced my concern about her date and time. Then for my next appointment the manager quoted me a price when he usually texts me the price so I could always show them what he sent me. This time it was all verbal so when I let them know what I wanted and what he quoted, they said that was not correct. I called him and he refused to honor the price he quoted then his wife get on the phone and said if I didn't want to pay the price then leave. They had already started on my hair. I was there from 10:00am - 10:00pm for shoulder length twists. I am only 4"11. How many horses do you need. My husband came and sat in the parking lot because it was so late for safety reasons. Then they had the nerve to call me again the next day telling me my daughter had an appointment. I never made her an appointment. They apologized for that mistake but not the additional $65 I paid for the lie the owner quoted. On that day there were 3+ customers complaining about the appointment times or the prices given by the owner. Maybe he needs to know what they are charging. You can only make appointments with him or his wife and if you are not satisfied they will talk to you like you have a tail. The worker were nice that day, but the owner and his wife were very unprofessional and nasty. I felt bad for the workers. I refuse to give them another $300 for me and my daughter. My husband let them know that he doesn't talk or treat me like that and he refuses to let him or his wife treat or talk to me like that. Never again Services: Twist braids, Braids Response from the owner5 days ago Respectfully we are going to address all the misstatements and untruths. 1/ Appointments are booked online therefore there is no uncertainty about the day and the time of appointment, clients get a confirmation 2 days before and also a reminder a few hours. If someone requests a day or time that doesn't work we do not accept their request and give them alternate day or time. 2/ When you book the appointment you pick your size and length which gives you a price. There is no room for misunderstanding however if YOU decide to CHANGE the size or the length then the price changes. Your personal height is irrelevant to us. 3/ Stylists are absolutely not mistreated and anyone can talk to them directly to find out. It is about honor and respect. I don't care if it is a toddler. Critical: Professionalism The response does not seem to be accurate. There was not an option for online booking sending pictures. My daughter and I have been loyal customers for over three years and have sent several new customers. All I got on this particular occasion was rudeness from the owner and his wife. Pictures were sent and I was given an oral quote over the phone. In the past it was written on the styles chosen. No changes or modifications were made on my behalf when I came for my appointment. But the owner chose to give me a verbal quote he chose not to honor it, coasting me more money and me being there for 12 hours. The workers kept apologizing for how I was being treated but it was not their fault. I should have not been given a verbal quote if the owner doesn't know his own prices then refuse to fix it. He and his wife made it very clear they would rather loose two loyal customers and possibly others by their unprofessionalism. If it is a policy to have things in writing then he should have not called me with a different price. Then 12 hours, that is ridiculous. Please don't play when I pay. A class is professionalism and honoring what you communicate with your customers would be great for the future of this company if they plan on continuing to be successful. It is really sad because there are very good people that work there and should not have to give in account for others. So the response given was unacceptable and poor. Some accountability should be taken and some incentive. Look at your reviews, people work for their money and expect good service from the top of the company to the bottom. Or yes we can take our business somewhere else. The owner and his wife can address it how ever they choose to defend themselves, but refuse to apologize. That is poor management in itself. If you don't value your customers and not take actions for your mistakes and accountability, please make it clear and known. read more

Recently I visited Kady African hair braiding for the first time. I was a little nervous and had some concerns about my hair being braided too tight for my scalp. My stylist, Orphelia, listened to my concerns and took great care to not make my braids too tight. My stylist was on time, the appointment lasted as long as she said it would, and the hairstyle I received also lasted as long as she said it would (w/ care). All in all, A+ visit and I plan on returning. read more

I absolutely love my hair and the ladies were kind. The only reason I am not giving the fifth star is because the price changes randomly and I wanted my hair put up. This was discussed when I stopped by to find out if what I wanted could be done. I was told of course and to return the next day. The evening I got my hair done, the lady did not have a large rubber band so she could not put my hair up and she told me it would be $20 to put up later. Well, that cost her a star and a monetary tip. I was in no mood to argue but I patiently waited for her to clean up to leave. Again, the ladies are kind but having supplies such as large rubber bands should be a given. read more

I called and they didn't have her on the schedule. BUT Amy was so pleasant about it and she took care of my daughter. I received AMAZING service! My entire experience was timely and efficient, the first lady braiding my hair was kind and started on time and I also had a second woman on my head. I got small knotless boxbraids which would take awhile for one person but I was done in under 6! The staff was amazingly helpful and once the others were finished with their current clients, they would come over and help on my head (I had about 4 different women in my head and I am not mad about it at ALL) they did a good job of providing a warm and formal atmosphere! read more

Worst salon I have ever gone to by far! I came here wanting to get a lace front I called and they said yes they do lace front sew ins I said ok booked an appointment and came there to do my hair I was not told the day I made an appointment that they didn't use glue I was told by the stylist afterwards WHEN SHE HAD ALREADY FINISHED! The hair looked a complete and utter mess and that was meant to be my graduation hair ok. I was ashamed to even carry that hair out of the salon. I called The owner and showed him a picture of what the hair turned out to be and he had the nerve to tell me it didn't look like anything was wrong with it when any person with eyes could tell that it wasn't sewn on right and they had ruined the hair the way it was sewn on and it was lifted way off my head! He told me that I could come back to get it redone for free I said OK came back there the stylist told me that there was no way she could do it without glue and the person I talked to on the phone told me they could make it look like like The picture I had sent but not identical when I had gotten there meanwhile the stylist said there was no possible way to do it I got so mad and frustrated I told my sister she called the owner and was trying to explain what was wrong with it and then he started yelling over the phone getting disrespectful and she had no choice but to yell back because the situation got very irritating why couldn't they say they didn't use glue when I made an appointment on the phone because I didn't just ask for a sew in I asked to get a lace frontal sew in it would have been helpful and A huge money and timesaver to know they didn't use glue so I could've gone to a different salon and the owner refused to Give me a refund even after everything the hair being an absolute embarrassment and me not even being able to get my money back and get it done somewhere else and the owner had the audacity to tell us to leave before he comes there the owner is a useless fool that has no regards to women he needs to learn how to talk to women before being The owner of a hair salon this establishment doesn't even deserve one star it should get zero stars because I will never come back here save your money and don't come to this place!!! read more
