Really "kool" coffee shop. Very extensive list of options. My latte was perfectly drinkable for my liking , others might want it hotter especially if they are not drinking it right away. I tried the strawberry empanada- was more like a moon shaped baked cookie with some strawberry filling dusted in sugar. Empanada? Debatable, but delicious? Without a doubt! Very nice little coffee shop located at the very busy corner of Plainfield rd and Ingalls ave. Came in on a weekday at 730am and there was no wait. Seems like a majority of their customers take their coffee to go. There are a few tables and barstools of you wish to stay and drink your coffee. They have a small selection of pastries and such. Coffee menu is somewhat limited but it has all the coffee staples (latte, cappuccino, espresso, etc.) service was good and the coffee was hot and fresh! I'll be back!! read more

At first I didn't know it was a cafe because it looks like a house from the outside. Then I looked it up and it's a cute little cafe. They have all your favorites and lots of sweet treats. Small place located on route 30. Room to sit inside but not spacious like a starbucks. First time I took my student mentee there on his recommendation and we both ended up getting two coffee drinks. Lately with Covid based business closures they have been able to stay open by doing window based service. Been going there once and even twice a day lately when I have been going to Menard's for landscaping supplies. Have had excellent cold and hot coffee drinks as well as smoothies. The best coffee in Joliet (and quite honestly not just Joliet area). Long story short - my hubby and I were visiting our friend in Joliet. I (as a crazy coffee addict) started googling coffee shops in Joliet and there were no coffee shops around except Starbucks (eww!). I was craving good coffee so much that I wanted to turn back and return to Chicago to get some decent coffee . Luckily for me, I found Kafe De Kasa and we decided to check it out! Oh man! The place exceeded my expectations! I got a small house brew (to test the quality of their coffee) and a Latte de Kasa and my husband got large Matcha Latte () ...the house brew was perfect and latte and matcha were delicious! We went to hang out with our friend and decided to stop by Kafe de Kasa one more time on the way home. I'm so happy we did! We tried Turtle Frappe and it was to kill for! Drove by today and my friends and I decided to go check it out as we've never seen or heard of it before. Surprising shocked upon entering at how big the menu is for a small and local business. I got the chips ahoy frappe and it was amazing, I also got a pistachio muffin and I couldn't complain if I wanted to. Latte was good at a very good price. They need to put a sign by the road that says 'Coffee' because they are on Rt 30 and their sign does scream coffee shop, it's small and creative but you drive by and you would not look twice or know it is coffee. Kafe is a cute word but again the word Cafe would help get more customers in. read more
