It seems to be crowded most of the time when I visit. So I cannot comment on the ambiance, but I can assume it would be really nice when there aren't many people in the building. I also got another matcha drink for my partner, which I didn't take a picture of because it was half filled, and it looked a bit goofy (I didn't know about the ice stuff and ordered it with no ice). So yes, the rumors about the drinks being mostly ice are true, but the matcha is pretty good. It is cutely decorated, so it is up to you if the price-drink-aesthetic ratio is worth the money. + Also, you cannot adjust the sweetness or ice levels. Kafeiin was on my list to try and I think it was a bit overrated compared to other places in Duluth. It's nice inside but I think the interior material was an awful choice! It was so echoey inside and it was so hard to hear everyone in the group without all of us shouting. It was also really hard to find seating and we saw multiple groups moving chairs and tables around to get seating for everyone. I got a strawberry matcha cloud for my drink and it was pretty yummy and super cute, but a bit small for the price. Definitely think this spot is more overhyped than I expected. I stopped by with some friends, and it was packed! Took us a few minutes and finally was able to grab a table for all of us. I went with the Lychee Blossom tea and while it was a unique, refreshing and tasty drink, I think it was way overpriced at $7.50. We all got our drinks within 10min even though there were a lot of people in line. The overall ambiance is nice and modern but wish there was a bit more seating. I've heard great things about Kafeiin and have gotten drinks from here from other people but only personally came to the store once. I actually wasn't very impressed with my visit to the store, but their drinks are really good in terms of taste and flavor. To start, you order your drinks from a kiosk. There's a cashier but they didn't seem to pay much attention to it nor does anyone greet or acknowledge you when you walk in. I also don't know if it's the norm, but I didn't get a receipt when I ordered. I sat down and waited for my drinks, and I never heard my name or number called out or anything even though I was sitting right next to the pickup counter. I noticed 4 of the drinks I had ordered on the counter though, so I assumed those 4 drinks must've been mine and approached the counter to ask. They were in fact my drinks. I wonder how long they would've left me sitting there waiting for my drinks if I hadn't approached and asked though. The other flaw is that I noticed the drinks are mostly filled with ice so it feels like you've barely drank anything before your drink is empty which is a shame considering the size of the cups and the price of the drinks. Now these negatives aside, I do like the variety of drinks that they offer. Their coffee is very good and so is their matcha. Sweetness level is perfect also. I tend to not like my drinks too sweet and generally adjust to 50% or 0% at most places. Stopped in today around 3 pm. I think with it being a Monday the wait to order was not as long as compared to the weekend. I ordered within 2-3 minutes. As expected they were out of a handful of drinks which you could easily tell because they were grayed out on the ordering kiosk - but they have so many options it honestly made my decision easier! The wait time to get the drink was a little longer (maybe about 20 minutes) but I have been seeing how slammed they have been the past few days on social media so I thought they were handling the rush super well! It's only so fast you can crank all those orders out but I noticed that they were working very efficiently. I also appreciated that you can track your orders progress on the screen which alleviates any worry about where your order is! I ended up ordering the matcha dream which was an iced matcha with a matcha cloud. It was delicious! Not too sweet which I love! I am a fan of the earthy taste of matcha which you definitely get here. I'm excited to come back and try out other flavors. On 01/14/2026, I checked out Kafeiin, a new Vietnamese coffee and matcha shop, with two friends. The space itself made a great first impression--modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with a good amount of seating that makes it a nice option for studying or hanging out. I ordered the Ube Cloud Matcha, while my friends got the Salted Cloud Matcha and Salted Cloud Coffee. Unfortunately, my drink was just okay for me--2.5/5. I was really hoping for a stronger ube flavor in the cloud, but it came across very mild. The matcha itself also wasn't very prominent; the milk seemed to overpower everything, so it ended up tasting more like lightly flavored milk than matcha. If you're someone who enjoys bold matcha, this might fall a bit flat. On the other hand, my friends really enjoyed their drinks. They both said the salted cloud was the standout--creamy, well-balanced, and flavorful--and it worked great with both the matcha and coffee. Based on their feedback, I'll definitely be trying one of the salted cloud drinks next time. One thing I do wish is that the drinks were more customizable. I would've loved the option to order 0% sugar and less ice, which could've made a big difference for me flavor-wise. A newly opened cafe with a variety of coffees and matcha drinks. It was very popular online, but it did not live up to the hype for me. The drinks were overpriced and underwhelming. The line is usually out the door and there are kiosks to order inside. I do like that feature, however the drinks are NOT customizable. I don't know if that's how it'll be or if they did that just because they recently opened and are very busy. I tried the salted cloud coffee, banana matcha, and strawberry matcha. The coffee was the best one out of the 3. The matcha, which is what they became popular for, were okay. The Banana matcha was fine but the "cloud" for the strawberry matcha tasted SUPER artificial and ruined the entire drink. It tasted like the syrups used in strawberry milks, and I was not a fan. The drinks were also premade. They had cups of coffee and matcha lined up on the table and then added ice and foam to order. While I understand it is busy, this takes away from the quality of the drinks. Many people also left with underfilled drinks. The drinks also had TOO much ice and you can't adjust that when ordering either. Parking was terrible and very crowded since there are so many businesses in the plaza and I imagine it'll only get busier as more places open. Even with the line, the wait wasn't too bad. We only waited a couple of minutes. There are only two ordering kiosks and one wasn't working, which slowed things down a bit. Our drinks did come out fairly quickly. Unfortunately the space is very small and cramped with extremely limited seating. We had to stand near the bathroom waiting for a table to open up. I wasn't impressed with the drink either. You can't choose sugar or ice levels, and the drink ended up being mostly ice and cream with barely any coffee. For around $8 it wasn't worth it. read more

Stopped by on Saturday night and being that this place recently opened it was buzzing with people. The line was out the door when we parked. Inside is very long and narrow giving it a very small claustrophobic feel but the seating is space well so that people are not right on top of each other. We had to wait to snag a table. Now the drink selection has a pretty good range with some matcha, coffee and tea options. I ordered the longan tea and the soursop tea (yes two lol!) and my friend ordered the banana matcha cloud. It was interesting to me my soursop drink came out in a paper cup rather than the plastic despite being cold. The drinks came out decently fast and the flavor was pretty good. I loved that the soursop had actual pieces of the fruit in it, this was the highlight! For those that have not had it, it has a tangy sweet flavor and the fruit flesh is soft and fibrous, like mangosteen. The longan tea unfortunately tasted a bit watered down which was a bummer but still had an overall good flavor. The match banana cloud was cute with a little flower candy on top of the stiff foam. The flavor was nice, not too much matcha and not too much banana. My only real issue is there is no way to change ice level when ordering, and of course all of our drinks were mostly ice. I finished drinking quite quickly due to this which was disappointing. I did not have enough liquid to enjoy all the toppings. Considering that there drinks were more on the pricey side I would expect more drink. I would be willing to give this place another try when the hype dies down, as ice level can easily be a user error or something the owners could fix. read more

I love that you can just order at the kiosk. Once you're done adding things to your cart to order, you can just give the kiosk your phone number. There's a screen by the door that tells you what are orders are in progress and which orders are done. You get a text message once your order is ready and you can just pick it up at the counter. The drinks are fantastic. They have lots of traditional options to choose from but also some experimental options. I would recommend any of the coconut foam drinks as well as the lattes. It can be a little busy on weekends but during the weekday there's plenty of quiet seating. On the weekends it can be very hectic and I could not expect a place to sit. Yes, there was a line when I went, but that's expected since it's new and literally everyone is going right now. Influencers, locals, everyone. Even with the line, their system is very efficient, so it moves faster than you'd expect and never feels overwhelming. They don't only sell matcha, they also have teas and coffee, but the matcha is absolutely their strongest point. The color alone tells you everything, a deep, vibrant green that immediately signals quality. Their matcha is pre-batched, but done the right way. They carefully measure each drink, keep the pre-batch stored on ice, and handle it with real attention and care. That alone gave me so much confidence before even taking a sip. I tried the Ube Matcha Cloud, the Salted Matcha Cloud, and the Banana Matcha Cloud, and every single one was incredible. I also tried the guava iced tea, which was just as good. Everything I had was a 10 out of 10. I honestly couldn't get over how good it was, to the point that I went back the same day for another drink because I couldn't stop thinking about it. Finally, I was able to see what the talk was about. Aesthetics and Vibe First, the minimalistic and modern design makes the vibe feel very clean. I really like the aesthetic they've created. Menu Offerings The menu is quite similar to their competitor down the street, Tea Drip. They offer Vietnamese coffee with a variety of flavored milk foams, ranging from matcha and sesame to egg and banana. They also serve matcha with various milk foams, which can be ordered as a latte or with coconut water. The Drinks I ordered three drinks: the Strawberry Cloud Matcha, Ube Cloud Matcha, and Sesame Cloud Matcha. The Good: I really appreciate the creativity of the sesame and ube milk foams. The flavors stand out and blend perfectly with the Vietnamese iced coffee. The taste offers an authentic, nostalgic Vietnamese coffee experience but with a modern twist. I would definitely recommend these. The Bad: The Strawberry Cloud Matcha tasted very artificial. Instead of using a strawberry compote, the milk foam tasted like it was made from a basic syrup. This might be acceptable under normal circumstances, but the matcha itself was very underwhelming. It was so light that it felt as though they were trying to conserve as much matcha as possible given the current shortage. The combination of artificial strawberry and weak matcha made the drink taste like "strawberry matcha water." I would not recommend this specific drink. It recently opened and despite how busy it was when I went on a Friday night, our drinks did not take too long to come out. We got the Salted Cloud Coffee and Longan Herbal Tea. My boyfriend thought that the Salted Cloud Coffee tasted too sweet; he also chose it to be Vietnamese coffee flavored as well so I think he wanted it to hit stronger. I was hoping that the Longan Herbal Tea would taste sweeter like longan, but it tasted like a traditional floral Chinese tea I had growing up. The drinks cannot be customized for sweetness or ice as of now, but I would say the drinks we had were on the sweeter side. The interior is very cute for pictures though. The parking lot can get hard since they're doing construction and it's shared with Jusgo Supermarket and other stores. I haven't had a bad drink here. My go to is anything matcha honestly. They have really good ube coconut and matcha coconut drinks that I like. Matcha latte or strawberry matcha is good too. Been coming since their soft opening, so there are definitely improvements in getting their matcha correct to the general public liking (as in not too light or not too strong). $7-8 for a matcha drink currently, IMO is reasonable because I'm aware that there's a matcha shortage going on, but Kafeiin still able to make delicious drinks without compromising quality by using lower quality matcha. Kafeiin Coffee appears to be the newest buzz in the are. I first attempted to visit them before they opened since Google says they open at 9am. I waited for about 15 minutes before I noticed no one was going to come. I think their listing may be wrong? I noticed a lot of reviews having issues with the hours all around. I ended up coming back later in the afternoon and it was busy! There were way too many people waiting for their drinks and everyone was on top of each other. The drinks are about $8-$9 for a regular size drink. You order on a tablet. I had the strawberry matcha and it was very delicious! I enjoyed the fact that it wasn't too sweet like other matcha places. I enjoyed it! I do wish the drink was slightly bigger for the price.
