Kahala Mall is a consistent go to for many items and/or dining. The enclosed setting is nice and cool on hot days. For years we've enjoyed a meal, something sweet afterwards, buying something for home from the Compleat Kitchen or shopping at my favorite store Soha. I've even purchased a cell phone there a number of times. Having Longs and Whole Foods there is also very convenient.

Kahala Mall has always been my go-to mall to just hang out at! The mall itself is always clean and the AC keep everyone cool on a hot Hawaii day! Customer service from any store I've been in has been helpful and friendly. There's something for everyone at Kahala Mall - food, movies, shopping, toys, and even a hair salon! You can even consider the all a one-stop shop! Highly recommend giving Kahala Mall a visit if you haven't yet done so!

Free parking and has AC! I came for Sanrio, but there's so many fun stores! I ended up staying longer due to all the different shops. Also birds get inside lol.

Sanrio Store brought me back to my childhood! Good service, expensive items, but Sanrio is pricey! They do have a lot for a little store!

Literally had the best experience The front desk lady was SO nice and helped me set up my appointment and made everything super easy. When I sat in Delwin's chair, he recommended an ash color that I wasn't even sure about at first, but omg it turned out sooo good. I'm actually obsessed with the color. I had bleached my own hair before (bad idea) and had a lot of breakage and uneven spots that made it lowkey look like a mohawk. He color corrected it, fixed the breakage, and blended everything perfectly and it was all included in the same charge, which I really appreciated. Delwin is super nice, easy to talk to, and actually knows what he's doing. He even gave me a 20% off gift which was so sweet. Also made me hot chocolate like what!! 10/10 experience, definitely book with him ^^

The Management of Kahala Mall does a wonderful job both maintaining a high quality product as well embracing the Kapuna (Senior Citizens). My mother who passed away at 92 spent 3-4 days a week visiting with her friends by Starbucks. It was the highlight of her day. Mahalo for all that the Kahala Mall Staff

Great area for walking and shopping! Well lit inside air conditioned mall. Area is being set up for Holiday Mom Made Market. Not very crowded on a Friday evening. Family friendly place to shop and play at. Big selection of local and Main stream department stores to shop. Macy's, Longs Drugs, See's Candy, Tori Richard's, Plus Interiors, The Face shop and so much more. Macy's is have a One Day Sale today! Dollar Days too! After shopping, you can eat at California Pizza Kitchen, The Counter or so many other places.

This past year I've been frequenting the Kahala Mall. Years ago (& to this day) it was to volunteer for the Healthy Baby Contest. They have the space to host those type of events, to include their annual Halloween Costume Party. Restrooms: Okay, you know those restrooms on the underground floor? I don't know about you but those mirrors that supposed to help you see who's around the corner kind of freaks me out. I get it why they're there, it just not my cup of tea. Other than that, the restrooms are usually clean everytime I visit. Parking: There's various parking surrounding the mall. You may have to park farther & walk a little bit more to get to wherever you need to go. Aesthetics: the Mall is a bit older so things such as the carpet looks a bit outdated. Theater: There is a movie theater to catch a movie, which is always a plu¹¹s for a mall to have. Restaurants/Stores: Many to choose from ranging from local to franchises. Other unique things: There's Whole Foods to do your grocery shopping. Overall: the mall's a great place to bring your family, shop, dine, watch movies.

A very nice shopping center with a nice selection of shops and eatery. Of course, the highlight for me is the Musubi Cafe!! Can never get enough of those dangerous musubi's!! ;P There are plenty of spaces for sitting down and resting, or to enjoy a snack or coffee. The mall also has a lot of friendly security patrols and a very friendly service desk -- who are eager and willing to help with directions or questions.

Ask the Community - Kahala Mall

    Does Kahala mall have restaurants?

There are a lot of "take out" restaurants within the mall, but if you're looking for a "sit down" dine in restaurant, off of my head I will say there is - CPK, Chili's, The Counter, Gomatei, Kuru Kuru Sushi, & Puka's.… Read more

Does kahala mall have a family bathroom?

There's a family restroom at the end of the mall--theatre side.

Are the tables & chairs by the center fountain out for public use?

Yes but getting one is almost like winning the lottery. People love to sit for hours there so the turnover is very rare.

    Is the mall pet friendly?

Yes, as long as you keep him/her on a leash

It's a huge structure between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue that runs along Waialae Avenue. Times Supermarket is on the bottom level, and Longs, Cookie Corner, and the Hawaii State Employees Federal Credit Union are on the middle level. Those are the places that I see and know. I looked at the directory and saw that there are many offices on that top level that I never visit. Customers can use the stairs or elevator to navigate between levels. Free covered parking is on the bottom level. The middle level also has free parking, but the row furthest away from the building is reserved for employees. This is pretty good outdoor mall. I've gotten meals from several businesses such as Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27, Higoto, and Coco Bloom. I'll be back!

First of all I can't believe that a bakery used to be here as now it's home to Safeway which wasn't my go to grocery store until they began to set their place here in Kapahulu Shopping Center which is quite massive and very nice to include a Starbucks as well, yes it is definitely the anchor here with a lot of free parking and we all know that it does fill up fast but they do have an upper level as well just take the ramp up and you'd be surprised to see a lot more stalls along with elevators to take you down so it's an easy access to wherever you're going as this shopping center is filled with wonderful merchants like AT&T, Chronic Tacos, Panda Express, Timmy T's, GNC just to name a few. For those that are here just to pick up some take out food there are a few stall dedicated for that for ease of doing so like delivery drivers I do see take full advantage of that making it a thoughtful process for those that are just here for a few and with that is time saved for those that are staying near Waikiki or before heading out to the freeway. I liked that sandwich place, and I would drive here just for their sandwiches. It so hard find parking in front of the businesses throughout the day. What is nice, is the parking is free! Recently came to Moojigae Korean Grill after the lunch rush hours and found a parking stall right in front. New businesses to open soon are the Loco Moco Drive Inn and a second location for Mikiya, a Wagyu Shabu House. Timmy T's , Panda Express, AT&T, GNC, as well as Chronic Tacos are located at this Shopping Center. There are more parking stalls on the roof top with Elevators service. You can see Diamond Head from the roof top parking! The Kapahulu Shopping Center is on Kapahulu Avenue and there's also a back entrance for the residential area near Timmy T's. I can't wait to go Loco Moco's Drive Inn when they open. Sometimes you can find some coupons printed behind the Safeway's receipt for the near by businesses. Please stop by this Shopping Center on the way to Waikiki or when you're in the area. They have many take out eateries to try! This Safeway is huge like the main store located on Beretania St!

Attended their luau here that was booked thru booking.com during my recent Waikīkī stay. While the performers did a great job, I gave it 3 out of 5 stars simply due to the rain that had shortened much of the hula dancing, and I expected more for the price. Disappointed since if they know it frequently rains in Hawaii, they should've been more prepared & already had the canopies set up over our tables. Several dining options at this mall made me smile! I wish I had a much longer vacation to explore more of the eateries here, lol. The food court was decent, offering everything from Hawaiian malasadas at Penny's Waikiki Malasadas to popular spots like L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, Raising Cane's, Panda Express, and more.

My brother-in-law asked about a malasadas and told him that it is more or less a doughnut but was brought to Hawaii by the Portuguese who came to work the fields back a hundred or so years ago. It's sold all over the islands now. When I lived here in the '70's, a food truck parked itself in a parking lot and people lined up to buy it. When they ran out, that was it until the next time and it was not everyday. Penny's malasadas was good and delicious. It was hot and sooo ono, as we say it in the islands! There's a price to pay for the delicious food though - and it's not cheap! So go try, yeah!

It is just up the street from when I used to live on 9th Ave. Just about 10th Ave, right in the heart of things in Kaimuki- well placed and so nice to have friendly little places to check out that are new or mainstays.
