I enjoy shopping at T.J. Maxx, Nordstrom Rack and browsering thru small local business at bottom floor. The environment and atmosphere is changing so much with rising condo towers and eat, play, and live tagline. Got some nice restaurants like Merrimen's, Rinka, Jinya ramen bar, Scratch kitchen, many other food businesses. Parking free while shopping at stores which great, but stalls are tight, 1st to 3rd floors get packed when businesses open up. I do miss Ward Warehouse, lined up of small, local mom and pop shops and boutique stores checking out before redevelopement in the past 10-12 years occurred. It still crazy how much has changed. Even with Dave busters relocating to Ala Moana next year, and Bucca di pepo closed down in the past 2 months, they need to fill thoses spaces before foot traffic lessens. read more

I came here to visit the Ward Center that used to be here. I was very sad to see that's all gone. This little unique set of shops (not really a mall, but some diverse shops connected by an enclosed walk), it's actually very pleasant and peaceful (it's very under utilized). I was a little frustrated at how hard it is to find access, but at the same time the limited access seems to cut down on the derelicts and homeless. This is a cute little spot that reminds me of Town and Country Village in the South Bay. It is a throwback type of place with lots of little shops tucked in among lots of empty spaces. I went to a place where chocolates are sold and the guy in there was really nice. There were some places to eat, but they didn't seem to have seating, so it seemed like a take it and run spot. There was a hair salon and some clothing spots, but walking through was charming. It wasn't crowded, which is good. But the walk through was just what I was looking for and I don't regret coming to see what they had. read more

There's also lots to do in addition to the tradition shops. I always keep my eye out for events on Facebook, like free yoga at Victoria Ward Park on Thursday's at 5:30. They've also had food truck events on the weekends and more! The parking under Dave & Busters is hit or miss so I always head over the Whole Foods for parking. read more

Parked in Ward Centre last weekend and almost couldn't leave when I wanted to. Check out attached photos. My car is the Acura and notice how I'm evenly spaced between the lines? When I parked the spaces beside me were open but these kooks decided to sandwich me in. Thing is there were quite a few spots open a half floor up. My daughter had to squeeze in through passenger door and climb over to pull the car out so we could get in. Even after that I had to do the Austin Powers forward/reverse thing to leave. Management should seriously think about re-striping the parking lot. read more

It includes some restaurants like Scratch kitchen, larger discount stores like Nordstrom racks, TJ Maxx, but also some small local businesses. It's a nice mix of shops. It's got its own parking complex with free parking which is a huge plus in Hawaii. It's always fun taking a look here to see what unique items they have. read more

REVIEW written because somehow, the Ward Village Shops page was merged with Ward Village. The Shops are just PART of this Ward Village Community. During my lifetime as a resident of Honolulu, there are neighborhoods that I've seen flourish as generations change and then there are some neighborhoods that seem to have been neglected or abandoned. One such burgeoning and flourishing community is The Howard Hughes 60-acre parcel known as "Ward Village". Oh, it's not as if Ward Village suddenly came about but it was an acquisition that occurred several years ago (2010) by The Howard Hughes Corporation. Prior to the acquisition, this 60-acre land parcel was owned by the Victoria Ward Estate. Even during the time when the Victoria Ward Estate owned this area, this neighborhood had been studied and planned for redevelopment. But, it wasn't until 2013 when The Howard Hughes Corporation presented and submitted plans for urban development. And what a grand development it will be! The projected plan is to build over 20 condominiums, a community park with outdoor gathering places, walkable pathways, entertainment centers, retail stores and restaurants, in essence, this will be its own community. Phase 1 has already started with 5 new condominiums being built (Anaha, Waiea, Ke Kilohana, Ae'o and Gateway Towers). Sure, to many locals, the prices of the units seem out of reach but, given the current price for a single-family home in urban Honolulu, these prices are comparable. Already existing WITHIN Ward Village are the Ward Village Shops and Restaurants, Ward Village Courtyard and Ward Village Entertainment Center. What I like about this planned (sustainable and energy efficient) community, is their commitment to embracing the local Hawaiian culture. Ward Village is becoming a community for appreciating the island-lifestyle mixed with urban living. I can't wait to see how either living, playing or working in Ward Village will impact our lives. I used to enjoy visiting old Ward Warehouse area. Parking was meh. Eateries and shops were pretty good. I even worked as a photographer at a photo studio there back in the day. So I have lots of memories of the area. Now that the old "warehouse" shops are no longer there, in its place is basically open park and parking lot... So moving over to the new side has been a bit of a transition for me. I still visit Dave and Buster and the theater side. The other side with Goma Tei and Piggy Smalls, I don't frequent for some reason. TJ Maxx and Nordstrom Rack are definitely go to shops. The parking garage is good. I don't care for the turning narrow ramps, but luckily I don't have a huge vehicles so maneuvers are just fine. Today was my first time going into the South Shore Market. No idea why I never took a look. I had no idea it was a variety of smaller businesses inside. I ran into the Lucy's Lab Creamery which I've had bookmarked forever. Discovered there's a Coffee Bean. Overall a cutesy, modern, hipster vibe. Too cool and probably too expensive for me lol. I mean, I'll be back to pick up some things. Even though it'll hurt my wallet. I'm a regular here. It's a nice entertainment hub in Kakaako, the next one being SALT. I mean you get a lot in this two block radius, shopping events, movies, Lots of restaurants, Dave and Busters, and whole foods. It's pretty easy to kill time. I was here last Friday for the new Holiday light garden installation, an ocean of hundreds of sound synced lights and Also New Wave Fridays at the south shore market. Always a musical performance, great vendors. Usually once a month. The IBM regularly has art installations as well. Fun area. Lots of parking. read more

When my family and I walked in we were not treated with hospitality and felt like we were not welcomed even after checking in.

We enjoyed walking around the Ward Centers. Since this was our first time here, parking was difficult for us to find because we didn't know there were so many parts to this place. After walking around we realized it's not just one big mall, it's made up of different sections. There are plenty of parking spots spread throughout the Ward Centers. They have a large variety of stores and restaurants. There is a movie theatre here as well. read more

I haven't been here since covid started. Lots has changed since then. You can actually find parking now, usually it's hard to find parking in the covered parking lot so I had to park next door at Whole Foods. All the places on auahi st. From big city diner to Starbucks is sadly gone. I'm not to sure why even big companies like pandas and Starbucks is gone but if you turn the corner l&l's is still there. Hopefully a tenant is going to occupy the space otherwise it's just sad to see. Hopefully things will get better in the future. read more

This is a very happening place! There are many types of shops, restaurants, and movie theater! It's like the entertainment center of Honolulu! Victoria Ward Centers continues to expand and change. Nordstrom Rack has moved to the newer building with TJ Maxx and Pier 1. It has its own covered parking garage! There used to be an open parking lot, but now it's under construction and will be another parking garage! We sure could use more parking spaces! read more

Ward Center. One of the four shopping complexes that make up the Victoria Ward Centers in Honolulu. Although not as large as Ward Warehouse, nor does it have movie theatres like Ward Entertainment, or a Starbucks like Ward Gateway, Ward Center has a good mix of shops and restaurants that will keep you occupied until it's time for your movie to start at the Ward Theatres. One of the best things about Ward Center is that it has a good selection of eateries to choose from such as Kakaako Kitchen, Genki Sushi, Ryan's Bar and Grill, and Goma Tei Ramen to name a few. Although there's no starbucks, there is Seattle's Best coffee located in Border's or Mocha Java Cafe on the ground level near the Famous Footwear shoe store. I heard about the South Shore Market grand opening and decided to hit it up on the second day. Had a hard time finding it, as it is on the backside of TJ Maxx, hidden. The building was clean and beautiful, wood paneling and a plant wall. A lot of the shops were similar to those further up Auahi Street near the cinema. There were a lot of cool mini events going on just for this grand opening including a pup-up, where they had dog grooming, toys, and dog treats. They had live music--while I was there it was a guy playing an ukulele. They had an area where you could decorate a free tote that had the WV logo. I also saw a shave ice stand selling $3 cones. Inside I got to taste some cold pressed juice and even broke down at got a bottle of Detox juice which was totally worth the $9. I feel better already! I roamed throughout every single shop and they had some pretty awesome clothes, jewelry, knick-knacks, foods (champagne ice cream, what?!), and even a shop that sold cat and dog "things." Definitely a more hip version of the old Ward Village/restaurant row. I think all they need now are restaurants or a bar to fill it out. read more

This is a poorly designed shopping center in a prime location between Kakaako and Ala Moana. There is the south shore market on the better side of Ward Center and then there are some nice shops sprinkled in with some random shops in the older section of this indoor mall. Crossing the street here is a pain so make sure to consult the physical mall directory or one on your phone before you wander around trying to find a particular store! read more

I'm a grandma and only care about shopping for my grand babies. My kids got everything and are all grown. I'm so glad that taj Clubhouse stay (moved to different location) stayed. There use to be a toy store and other stores for children. It changes ever year. My favorite jewelry closed their shop. But it's bittersweet. Glad they have Hopscotch! Love that store. read more

Small boutique stores, clothing shops, specialty stores, and merchandises for the home. Enjoy watching Koa Nights or HIFF movies at the Ward Village Courtyard. Who knows there might be another Winter Wonderland Ice Skating Rink at the Ward Village Courtyard. Catch a movie at the Consolidated Ward Theaters or play some video games at Dave & Buster's. There are a lot of food establishments to choose from whether it be plate lunches, poke bowls, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and even sushi. There's the dessert shops like Dairy Queen and Menchie's at the Ward Warehouse or Ben & Jerry's at the Ward Entertainment Center. Yelp Challenge 365 #201/365 There are so many places and things I've taken for granted. Ward Centre is one of them. I've frequented this center for its food, boutique shops, and entertainment and didn't think to write a review of this place. Over the years, the merchants (retailers and restauranteurs alike) have come and gone. If I had to name one place, it would be Compadres Restaurant. While no longer there, Compadres was one of the first restaurants to open at the Ward Centre. It WAS an icon as other restaurants came and left for one reason or the other. Compadres will be missed by me for their Caddy Maggie pitchers, happy hour appetizers and deck seating. Great place to be at the end of the day, have a Maggie and watch the sun set. They were one of the frontiers and frequent winner of the Chili contest. They have had clubs who have come and gone. Most recent addition is Vice. AND for those who don't know, Inferno's Pizza is located in Vice. Boutique stores have come and gone as well. Today, the Rainbowtique is the first place that comes to mind followed by Honolulu Chocolate Company.... Kakaako Kitchen, Kua Aina Burger, Famous Footwear, Brookstone, are a few other eateries and retailers. Best part for me???? PARKING.... The parking deck will accommodate many vehicles but...they have valet parking too. And if you are there during the day and plan to spend some time there, get your car wash and polished or even detailed. Parking is a little tight but shopping and eating here is always easy. Now that Bed Bath and Beyond has opened up a location at this center, makes coming to this spot always fun. And the options of eateries here st Ward Centre are great...doesn't matter if you want to eat sushi...or ramen...or hot pot...or crepes...or burgers...pizza...or just good ole healthy home cooking @ Kaka'ako Kitchen. This is the place we are eating tonite. Additional perk, KK honors an iDcard discount...Doesn't get much better than that! Where are the additional stars for this shopping center? This is my FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP!! How confusing is it though when you have Ward Center, Ward Warehouse, Ward Gateway, Ward, ward, ward, ward, ward!! Just too many WARDS for such a condensed area. Sorry, random rant. This place is my one-stop-shop-till-you-drop (literally!) place. It's home to my favorite brands - Pier 1 Imports, Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx. It's the perfect concoction for some serious retail therapy. There is garage parking for these shops and I never (knocking on wood) have an issue with finding parking. Looking for a more quiet and sprawling shopping experience than the adjacent Ala Moana Center? Ward Centers is your place to explore, eat, and shop! This is one of my favorite areas in Honolulu, from its large chain stores, boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and the movie theater, there is always something to do! Located between Kaka'ako and Ala Moana Center, Ward is right in the center of the city. It's easily accessible by many buses and has ample parking at all of its various areas. Ward consists of the Gateway Center, Ward Warehouse, Ward Centre, the Villages at Ward, and other areas. There is a Sports Authority, Ross, TJ Maxx, Consolidated Theatres, Dave & Busters, Big City Diner, Spaghetti Factory, CorePower Yoga, Tango Cafe, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Office Depot, and so many other places! (Please check out my specific reviews!) The area itself is pleasant and warm. Right across the street are both Ala Moana Beach Park and Kewalo Basin. One can easily park anywhere and walk to all the shopping locations. There are many restaurants for a full meal or small cafes for a drink to take a break. The landscaping is well done and grants a very fresh aesthetic to the entire area. Construction is ongoing, but the proposed expansions will add so much for the community. Ward has a monthly brunch. They also have a monthly movie night called Courtyard Cinema in conjunction with HIFF (free popcorn and nice seats while watching a movie outside)! There is also free yoga sponsored by CorePower outside in the playground area near Auahi street. For tourists visiting the city, have a fun day just walking around and seeing all the things there are to see and do! read more

Ward Center has always been one of my favorite places to eat, shop, and just walk around aimlessly. This was my number one haunt when I used to visit Hawaii back in the 1990's, back when they had the best Mexican restaurant on the island (remember Compadre's?). Free Parking! Oh yeah, who doesn't like free parking so close to Ala Moana Beach and Waikiki. After them and the Mall, it's starts costing. The garage is east to navigate, clean and safe. Restaurant Options! Well, it's seen it's share of restaurants come-and-go, but they continue to find new food options, and the current choices are all pretty darn good. Tango Cafe out on the street is great, and Kua'Aina Sandwiches and burgers are a staple. Shopping! A little light on the options here in Ward Center proper, but just across the street is Pier One, and there are more options over near the Ward Theatres and Dave & Busters, so all things considered, you've got plenty to look at. All-in-all, I prefer eating, shopping and seeing a movie here over Pearlridge Mall, even though the drive is significantly longer. Find me at Dave & Busters! read more

Ward Village (as it is now known) is owned and operated by the Howard Hughes Corporation, the largest land owner in Kaka'ako. Sitting on the outskirts of popular Oahu destinations, such as Waikiki and the Ala Moana Shopping Center, it is currently in the midst of a projected 15-year revitalizion and transformation of the area into a local-as-well-as-tourist-friendly neighborhood. The redevelopment has caused the construction of more high-rise condominiums being built and the arrival of more national retailers to open here in the islands. Ward Village is a modern day shopping & dining place. I walked from Ward Warehouse to newly renovated Ward Village and it was such a nice walk. I love all the stores. They're fresh and clean. I do miss Borders and other stores that used to be there. But you gotta move with time, right? Ward Village Shops - One of the many food place at Ward Village New Wave Friday - Shopping Centers Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I like ward centers because of the variety, nowhere else in hawaii can you see a movie, go to Dave And busters, get a Starbucks and shop at Nordstrom rack, all in the same trip. I also really love big city diner. :) I especially like the "center" part of the Victoria ward complexes because it looks so new and exciting. I like the new rack/pier 1/tj maxx area(and parking lot!!), but I'm not quite sure if it counts as ward centers. Since the rack moved, the parking lot behind the theaters is a lot less crowded. This means you can be even later to movies because you don't have to circle around searching for parking. Also, you can get $2 popcorn and $1 hotdogs on Tuesdays with their free rewards program! Score! If movies don't tickle your fancy, there's always Dave and busters, especially fun on Wednesday nights lol but you need to be over 21. read more
