It was my wife and I's first time exploring the west coast of PR. We came to Kai on a suggestion of her cousin. It was definitely an experience that we will never forget. My wife ordered the seafood mofongo. FYI, if you do not eat meat, make sure to let them know you want it without pork. My wife is not a meat eater but best believe she pushed the pork chunks aside and ate it anyway! She also had the seafood soup which was simply amazing. Great spot, great view, bad service (all of them were in their cellphones 95% of the time), average food (tostones were too dry).

We had a great experience here! Our waitress gave us great recommendations and we were not disappointed. One of the must haves is the chicken nachos. I don't know what kind of cheese they use, but it's absolutely delicious. The chicken was very flavorful. The four of us devoured it as an appetizer. Then our waitress brought out a tray of garlic bread still hot from the oven and that disappeared just as quickly. Three of us had burgers and they were all cooked just as we asked and had great flavor. My boyfriend had the fish burger and was very happy with it. They also made fresh lemonade for us (we don't drink alcohol) that was so refreshing after a long day in the sun. The best meal we've had during our trip! read more

Music was good towards the end of the night. Unfortunately, waiting for the food was extremely long. Drinks were alright considering they don't have an original drink. The ambiance is good if you're into beach bars and beach music such as reggae but note you will wait between 40-60 minutes for your food post order. read more

The best churrasco I've had! The plantain cups with chicken were wonderful. The appetizers can easily be a meal. The staff is friendly and professional. You can't beat the location, watching the ocean while you eat. Parking is difficult but the food is with it, my recommendation is the aureus lithos, churrasco and rice. read more

What is not to love when you are in Puerto Rico and the palm trees are swaying? When you travel and dont know where the best food is,,,Kai was wonderful! Food was good ( burgers) and chips. Great food but really need to work on more prompt service. Got our appetizers fairly quickly and they were great. Were hopeful the rest of our meal would follow soon. I went here with my best friend for lunch and everything we ate was good. The only thing we didn't like was the buns of the burgers. We thought they should have better buns since they say there specialty are burgers but overall it was good and having lunch by the beach is a mayor plus. read more

Great food both of us ended up going for more traditional food getting the Mofongo one with chicken and one with red snapper. Both were wonderful chicken was juicy and seasoned wonderful. The snapper was perfect and melted in your mouth. The only thing that was bad was how slow the service was but that just forces you to enjoy the scenery of waves crashing on the beach and surfers. Good food. Terrible service. The restaurant clearly looked short staffed and was incredibly busy when I arrived so it was understandable for service to be a bit slow... To say that service was a bit slow is an understatement! I had to get up and ask a waiter for menus, I had to get up and ask the waiter to please take my order, and I was about to get up to ask the waiter to please bring me my check upon realizing she was just sipping a piña colada and talking with friends at the bar; by that point I decided to just call the restaurant and ask them to please send someone over to take care of our table as I was exhausted from literally having to chase someone, anyone at that point really, to get me some mayoketchup and give me my check. read more

While looking for a lunch site on yelp, my friends and I saw Kia. We were unable to find directions via Yelp or GPS, and had given up. By some twist of fate, while heading Aguadilla, we happily stumbled upon Kia and decided to stick with the original plan. I was so pleasantly surprised! I like to keep my expectations realistic at beach bars, as you rarely can have your cake and eat it too. Kia has a beautiful location. The panorama boasts an almost crescent beach, with natural rock formations and turquoise white caps. While enjoying, potentially, the best mojito, or margarita, I have ever tired (Don't discount the flavored ones either. Coconut and passion fruit are particularly good.), you can watch surfers scramble to catch the perfect wave. The wait staff was attentive and accommodating. They went the extra mile to help the vegetarian in our party find a combination of apps that would fulfill him. As a former Caribbean resident, I have a special love for conch. The conch salad in plantain cups was delicious. It was fresh and well balanced. I was also lucky enough to try the fried cheese and fried plantains with garlic butter sauce that were also excellent.
