I never did martial arts growing up, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's exceeded every expectation. Our oldest was very hesitant and scared to even try at first. The instructors were incredibly patient and never pushed him beyond what he was comfortable with. They let him participate off to the side where he felt more at ease and wasn't worried about everyone watching him. That kindness and understanding made all the difference. Now he's full of confidence, genuinely looks forward to every class, and has grown so much both on and off the mat. Our youngest is still pretty young, but he's learning so much too. It's been amazing to watch him build focus, listen, and develop new skills in such a positive and encouraging environment. Beyond the physical skills, they're both learning discipline, respect, perseverance, and other valuable life skills that will stay with them for years. What really sets this place apart is the community. From the instructors to the other families, everyone makes you feel welcome. It truly feels like one big family, and we're so grateful to be a part of it. They also host so many fun family activities throughout the year, which really shows that it's about so much more than just martial arts classes. I couldn't recommend One Martial Arts more highly!

I came here as an Au Pair (babysitter) and the kids from my host family started going to judo practices at Cahill's Judo Academy. At first I wasn't particularly interested in judo, but a week ago I caught myself wanting to join a class. By now, I've been attending Cahill's Judo Academy for almost six months (thanks to the children of my host family, who love the place), and I can tell that it's worth it to be a part of this community. I love seeing the professionalism of the coaches, their friendliness and attentive approach to everyone (for example, Coach Joe always tries to remember everyone by name, and I'm not just talking about the kids). In addition, I feel the energy of the place and can describe it as "results are born where people come who genuinely love what they do." P.S. Two weeks ago I was even lucky enough to get out on the mat. Coach Ben asked some parents to try an exercise the kids were doing - jumping over the speed ladder. I think I did it with success (at least I could tell by the cheers of the children and Coach Willie's thumbs up that it turned out pretty good). And I apologize in advance if I have misspelled some names.

Seh also wrote me a personal Happy Birthday card and had it hand decorated by one of her daughters and she hung a big birthday balloon banner in the studio for me. She treats me better than my own family! Taichi has a diagnostic phase; different than yoga. During the warmup phase the movement drills she teaches you allows you to diagnose where in the body you have less strength and flexibility. You can also detect loss of symmetry in balance. Very different than other forms of exercise. She also teaches you how to work on specific problem areas related to today's lifestyle like upper shoulders and lower back. These progressions are very different than traditional western based cardio and weight lifting exercise. Can develop a monitoring of your own body ad correlate it with the amount you sleep to tune your health levels. I can't get that by doing more miles on the treadmill. Very unique and talented individual. One in a million. She has world class talent; taught live in Chinese TV to millions of people and was practicing since 4. If you grew up in China you have seen he on TV. Incredible person. Polar opposite of the male powerful western martial arts instructor. Can't believe someone like this exists, very rare. Excellent teacher. Never met someone with this much range; able to customize to different groups so effortlessly. Her bio shows 20+ years of teaching experience and it shows in the sessions. She gave us 2 separate demos. Looks like what you see in the martial arts movies. When she throws a punch, the transition from standstill to fast motion punch is breathtaking. Can't replicate that on movies. They add sound effects which isn't the same as experiencing it in real life. The physical displacement and pace of the movement is not something most people can replicate, looks different when she does it. Definitely a special person. Worth the in person visit. From the awards she has won she is as famous in taichi as is Steph Curry in basketball. Very interesting. Not just the physical talent which makes a champion. Also maturity, mental toughness, and being a better person are all tools which are needed to be the best in the world. Many similarities to what Steph is like today. She is a world champion in what teaches and has won many competitions https://baike.baidu.com/item/%E5%90%B4%E9%98%BF%E6%95%8F/4753116 Incredible!!!

Always looked closed. No yelp reviews, nothing. I had a friend that sent his daughters here and he recommended this place so I did some research on this place before sending him here. I signed up the boy for 3 months to see how he likes it in 2015. It's been almost 1 year since. He's more disciplined now almost 6 years old compared to most kids out there. I've seen him develop his reflexes and self defense over the past year. I can say this small studio will do your kid right. No bs, no mess around kind of studio. I've been there and watch other kids from different martial arts with black belts and can't do what the eagle Claw kids do with just red and blue belts. I was pretty amazed and I'm not ragging on other martial arts but maybe it's easier to get belts in other places. Watching my boy practice, this isn't for the weak. They dont babysit. just teach kungfu, plain and simple. There is another wing chun class taught there at the same studio on certain nights only. (Haven't checked it out) seen some of the students there and doesn't look they mess around either. Definitely a good place to learn martial arts. I googled eagle Claw and found out they have many international studios... do your own research and figure it out. Worked out for my boy.

Heard there are 300 kids! This place is ran very well by Ma'm Annette and her amazing young instructors which are also DATKD students that are black, brown, and red belts. Kids are definitely learning TKD and most importantly they are having fun. My son has learned so much and he looks forward to coming. His kicks are super strong! He's still learning the discipline part as his maturity catches up. He's almost 7.5 but always wants to goof off with other students and even the instructors. But they and Ma'm are patient and yet firm in reminding the rules. Surprised to see how little yelp reviews but a lot of the parents may not be regular yelpers. Come swing by and watch for yourself how awesome this place is if you're looking for a martial arts club. It's standing room only on days the kids are being tested for their next belt up. Don't let that encourage you in checking this place out as this is actually the best time to feel the amazing energy and excitement from the kids (and parents too), and witness for yourself Ma'm Annette's powerful voice and command!

She (owner and instructor's wife) tried to get me to pay for 6 month or 1 year's tuition ahead of time, I said no and paid $165 month's tuition plus $110 enrollment fee. She then said I have to purchase protective gear for $245. My son is 7 years old. after watching a few sessions I was not happy with their method of teaching. Some of the black belted kids couldn't even kick or know the forms very well and didn't even have balance. My son spent time sitting a lot and wasn't taught kicking physical exercises as he was used to (he attended another taekwondo school before we moved this year) I took tae kwon do as a kid and felt very disappointed. Furthermore the lady said my son can come in additional days if he missed any classes and when I tried to do so, she seemed reluctant to let us. After couple of weeks I asked the lady if their style was different than the one we are used to and she just told me to look for another school if I'm not satisfied. After finding out they are closed for the 4th of july weekend and realizing my son was going to miss another few classes I told her I would take her up on the offer. After a week I called and asked for the registration fee and the cost of the protective gear and mentioned that she told me to find another class, I was flatly refused. Now I have to take her to court. $520 for a few classes of sub par and questionable lessons.. Seems to me they are selling fake black belts, as she offered my son will have his black belt in a year. a belt is not what is important but skills, balance and physical and mental fitness is. Seriously those black belted kids can not even kick well as white belted in real schools and they can't even do a proper rolls. See for yourself! I have taken taekwondo before and so have my kid. Don't commit for a lot of $. Ask for trial as they do in other schools. Better yet find another school. Theirs is run down taught by an old man with few students.
