This place is one hour round trip from my home. I set a 90 minute massage a few days ahead of time, and battled warm, beautiful weekend day traffic to get down there. I arrived 5 minutes early. The masseuse I had an appointment with greets me and tells me she can't give me a massage because she has to go somewhere, and asks me to come in another day... That's it. No attempt to accommodate, no attempt at anything other than a shoulder shrug. Very dissapointed to see a service business run this way. Not reliable. read more

This place was Top three best massages of my life. Massage therapist was not friendly. Maybe even a little unfriendly but the technique was right on. I was expecting it to be a full thai massage, but it was a combination of deep tissue which they called swedish mixed with some stretching and it did the job . I had pain in my body for days before this and it was finally relieved. I had even had a massage. Add the hotel next door the previous day. From one of the hotel, a spa massage therapist, and it was nowhere near as good as this. And this costs half of what that one cost. Enjoy the little touch of the pineapple and tea at the end. The way that they presented, it was refined artistic and it felt special. The furniture in this place was the most authentic thickest heaviest pieces of beautiful ornate carvings and designs that i've ever seen. I'm ready for something this nice to exist, where I live. Other than the beaches and some of the art a decent sandwich and an adult boutique, this was the nicest experience I had in the the laguna area. Sadly, everything outside of this amazing experience was fake plastic overpriced. This massage place was truly a hidden gem. read more

This was mine and my fiancé's first time ever getting a Thai Swedish massage and it was the best experience. We made appointments for 11:00am on a Saturday. Before you come in they ask you to take off your shoes and then they took us straight to our room. The room had a really nice ambiance and was really clean and cozy. We asked for medium pressure which was just enough. Both ladies were so nice and really good about checking in and making sure we were comfortable. We got a 60 minute session which was a perfect amount of time. The massage felt amazing and we both felt so relaxed after. They had tea and fresh pineapples for us after to enjoy. I booked a couple's massage for me and my husband for the Mother's Day weekend. We stayed at Surf and Sand Resort, so it was a pleasurable few minutes walk from our hotel to Thai Body Works. The place is very clean, cozy, and their reception area smelled very nice . We liked the fact that customers and staff must take their shoes off before entering the office. I got Emma as my massage therapist. She did fantastic work on me. Her gentle, but strong technique did a true miracle to my tight muscles. 90 minutes passed like 5 seconds and I felt incredibly good after my massage session ! When our session was over, we were served lemongrass hot tea and a deliciously juicy piece of pineapple on a beautiful plate. We really appreciate that the owner of this business pays so much attention to details and we definitely will recommend this place to all of our friends visiting Laguna Beach area ! On a recent work trip to Laguna Beach, I found Thai Body Works... This little gem of a business was just a short walk from my hotel, and offered affordable pricing (way less than getting a massage at the hotel), friendly service, and most importantly, a quality massage. Miguel did a great job and even went over on time, which I appreciated. If you've had Thai massage before, than you'll know what to expect, although this place does have you go without clothes. She did leave the room during the middle of the massage, which was a little odd, but other than that, this place was just what I needed. The tea and pineapple afterwards was a nice touch as well. after years of incredible service, unfortunately I had a bad experience where I asked the masseuse to focus on my hands and feet since I'm on my feet all day at work. my masseuse ignored the request and sent me home with a sore neck . The practitioner was unskilled and appeared to have no training in Massage. I'm not sure what happened here, but they used to be great. Unfortunately I won't be back. And at the end, when I was paying, she held the display and pointed to the tip that she thought she should get which was 15 or more dollars, of course I obliged though I felt very pressured and unhappy about walking out the door with too much oil on my body and paying $90. They will walk on your back etc. The staff was very kind and did a good job and the facilities and beds feel clean. They give you pineapple and tea when you are done which is a nice touch.
