I got what I needed and more from this coffee shop, when I dropped in for a quick visit. The cafe had some table options giving a workspace kind of vibe coffee shop, but my visit was not for staying in, it was a grab and go one. Being that this was my first visit, and I wasn't familiar with the menu the girl who took my order was super sweet and told me about the drink selections. She also told me about some of the sweet treats that went well with drink selections. I decided to purchase a brown butter caramel swirl latte and some dark chocolate banana madeleines. The latte was not too sweet, very smooth and hot. The cookies were amazing. soft and moist. The banana wasn't drowned out by the chocolate flavor. Very cute treats with Asian flavors! I love the dedication to the alpaca and cute character theme across all the pastries, from the macarons to the jar on the panna cottas. We had the raspberry tart and the milk cloud cake. Price points were very high, even for midtown pastries. I enjoyed the milk cloud cake because of the black tea infused cream really came through. The other bits in it were not as impressive--the small chocolate bits were dry and this viscous layer in it (tapioca?) lacked taste. The raspberry tart was very adorable with two macarons. The tart shell was a bit dry and crumbly, but if you like raspberry the flavor does come through in the filling. The staff weren't warm in any way, but we're in midtown which tends to be hectic, and we were there at the end of the day so it's not a dealbreaker or anything really egregious. The place isn't very spacious for seating, so unless you're coming at a time that isn't busy, you might not get a seat/I'd plan around getting your sweets to go. That was no problem for me this time around, though. Overall this place is cute, and if you're looking for an Asian-inspired treat in midtown before a broadway show (Wicked is nearby) this could be an option for you. We tried the raspberry and lychee tart, and I really liked how the tartness helped balance out the sweetness. The lychee bits in there were sooo yum too. I could definitely taste both the lychee and the raspberry well. And THE CRUST!! That was amazing. We also tried the strawberry matcha latte, but unfortunately that was way too sweet for me. Came here for a quick drink and snack on a Tuesday late afternoon. There was no line to order but given the limited amount of tables, it was completely packed. I ordered their matcha jasmine tea latte, which was refreshing although I would've like more floral flavor from the jasmine tea. My friends and I shared their earl gray banana pudding, which was the first time I've seen this given I've been here multiple times. There were a lot of bananas but I unfortunately did not taste any earl gray at all so that was a little disappointing. Service was quick and staff was patient with us when we were deciding our order. But like I said, the space is small with very limited seats. So we just stood at the corner to devour the banana pudding. It's not the most comfortable place to dine in. Stopped in to peruse the scrumptious bakery items Wednesday. They had so many beautiful choices! Service was great. Very nice ladies helped us. The pastry was like a cloud of cream. While pricey, the flavor and work put into this is worth it. I really like how it's a pandan and vanilla filling, which was not too sweet and so luscious. Overall: 4.1/5 Bibble and Sip has an extensive drink and pastry menu, and honestly their pastries are a lot better than their drinks. I would come back for the pastries alone. They also have the cutest character and animal macarons. One thing worth mentioning is that their paper cup holders aren't very sturdy. Mine broke while I was walking home and both cups hit the sidewalk. I called them and they were nice enough to remake my drinks, which I really appreciated. The Iced 24 oz Lavender Latte ($8) with oat milk ($0.75) is their signature and what they recommended. The coffee came out a bit sour so make sure you mix it well before drinking. You can definitely taste the lavender but I didn't think there was anything special about it overall. The Iced 24 oz Matcha Jasmine Latte ($8.25) with oat milk ($0.75) had a light jasmine flavor and the matcha wasn't super strong either. It's a good combo idea but the taste was a bit underwhelming. The Earl Grey Almond Mochi Croissant ($6) was so good. They really nailed the textures with the mochi and croissant together and the earl grey flavor came through subtly in the best way. They definitely aren't bad, but I feel like you can tell that many of the layers/components are used more for their structural integrity than their actual taste. I do like their more unique Asian-inspired flavors like lychee, ube, etc. This trip, I tried one of their breads for the first time- the sweet potato one, but was rather disappointed. I enjoyed watching them flambe the top but the bread itself was very dry (granted we did come at the end of the day around an hour before closing). I think their cream puffs are my favorite. I also really enjoyed their milk tea cloud and the raspberry lychee tart. The chocolate panda I also enjoyed but I felt like the outer white layer was far too thick and didn't taste like much. Nonetheless, I still thoroughly enjoy all of their desserts! I mean, how can you not? They are adorable! Perhaps I am a little too critical because of how cute they are... The place stayed steadily busy and the ladies working the counter were kind and helpful. The earl grey puff that we shared was fresh and tasty. There were a handful of interesting drinks to try but I stuck with my usual soy latte. We ate in and had fun watching locals and tourists come in, and enjoyed watching the well behaved dogs that came in with their humans. I found this place on yelp and gave this a try, and I'm so glad I did. The staff is friendly and very welcoming. I walked in right when they opened to order a hot matcha latte and some cream puffs. They're cream puffs are HUGE and is a must try. Both my flavors were so good! The filling is very creamy and love that it is cold while the outside is a warm crispy and flaky outer shell. Very well made a big enough for sharing, but honestly I could eat both myself because they were so good. Heads up! If you order their cream puffs when they open, there is a little bit of a wait as they prepare them, around 8-10min. There is a lot of interior seating along the window wall and within the shop. Very nice spot to sit and chat with a friend or simply people watch and enjoy your drink and pastry. Matcha latte hot - very good, not too sweet and they used good matcha that has a bit of bitterness as apposed to the artificial matcha that is overly sweet. Haven't had Bibble & Sip since leaving NY years ago and was curious if their cream puffs still held up after all these years. We got the earl grey puff and a black sesame bolo bun. I still loved the cream puffs, which are 90% cream and 10% choux. Might not be the preferred ratio for everyone, but I love it when there's more filling than dough. Choux was well-baked, and I liked that the earl grey flavor was pretty strong. Cream was light, airy, and not too sweet, which kept the pastry well-balanced in spite of the large cream to dough ratio. I'm also glad that the cream puffs are as big as I remember, too -- they're about the size of my hand. The black sesame bolo bao was good also: bolo crust was the perfect thickness and evenly golden-brown, dough was airy and springy, and the black sesame filling was solid. We also had the Hong Kong Ducks drink (coffee with black tea and condensed milk). It was pretty good, no complaints and it's a hard-to-mess-up combo. Not a lot of seating, but most people seem to just order to-go, so we had no problem grabbing a table. They have a good mix of small and larger tables for different group sizes too. Overall: A+ // 6 stars Undeniably the best bakery and cafe in NYC. There is literally no bad item -- every single item on their menu shares three traits -- tasty, adorable, and innovative. First, its wonderful that they have such cute individual desserts from the lychee berry to the soup dumpling at competitive prices from $10-$15, which is very fair given the amount of time and attention each one takes, when alternatives often range closer to $20. All of the desserts I've tried in this category has a unique blend of Asian-forward flavors that work together such as Lychee + Strawberry in a way that is fresh and not too sweet; they also generally cover a multitude of textures from creamy to soft to crunchy to crisp. Additionally, they are carefully packed and prepared in a way that minimizes transport issues. Their individual desserts scale to large birthday sized cakes, featuring a new and equally intriguing set of flavors from strawberry camellia to mango coconut, which also tastes as good as it looks and sounds. In fact, their cakes are the only ones I have been impressed by in every regard independent of price. The layering of the cake from cream to gelee to cake harmoniously balances textures to make each bite that much more exciting. If being a cake shop wasn't impressive enough, their cream puff vertical is also unparalleled. Particularly the Earl Grey, which oozes with a citrus-forward fragrant cream inside a large puff that is crisp with a bolo topping and tender as well. The matcha and black sesame flavors are also great in their own regard, though I prefer the earl grey more. Onto the pastry side, they are impressively in with the trending baked items, from alpaca shaped croissants and macarons to pineapple buns and banana bread. Like their other great creations, all of these have such alluring flavor profiles including a salted egg yolk croissant, a black sesame and custard bolo bao, and earl grey banana bread. During holiday seasons, they have special products including pineapple cakes and mooncakes! I came here strictly for the cream puffs and i returned the same night for another. This little boba/dessert shop is located very close to Times Square and Broadway. Highly recommend if you're in the area. I got the jasmine strawberry cream puff which was a flavor I've never had anywhere. The cream perfectly balanced the jasmine and strawberry flavors. Sometimes jasmine flavors can be overpowered but they did it excellently. I still dream of this cream puff. The same night, i came back and got an earl grey cream puff.
