I had a number of referrals for this business to perform alignment on a tandem axle trailer. It took them about 1.5 hrs to do the alignment and change and balance a tire. I hope the work is good because the cost was very high. $400 fort the 2 axle alignment. $60 to change a tire and balance the wheel. The usual $30+ BS shop supplies added to the total. actually .... zero rating .... after going to another shop .... found out the ball joint diagnosis was a ignorant flop . not only was it rediculasly expensive ( triple of schwab) but it was the tie rod ends ... not the ball joints .. so if youre looking to fix your car/truck ... never , i say ,never stop here .... unless you care less about service ,price, integrity, honesty .convenience.... took 4.5 hours to inspect ,and price it ....... schwab too 5 min .... yes 5 min bad place , dishonest people , zero integrity read more

This company was referred to me by Metalworks to do a complicated 4 wheel alignment on a custom application. When i initially dropped off the vehicle i explained i had added fully adjustable rear drag links and that the caster was way off in the rear. When i went to pick up the vehicle i noticed no mention of the adjustment to this aspect of the alignment and they admitted they had not done it. I asked that they remedy this and they were annoyed at the request to the degree they just adjusted one side so far out of range the shock mounting bracket was rubbing on the axle shaft proper. I just left their shop after asking them to fix this and they were so rude, i left even though i was driving a potentially dangerous setup. I cannot recommend this shop at all, they are extremely unprofessional. And i now have to fix my drive axle as well. read more

I have been going to this family owned business since 1995 That year I had purchased a Safari Serengeti and no one was able to get the alignment correct I even put a safety-plus on it and still would not drive correctly Finally in less than 2 hours they found the problem and corrected it I'm still driving the same coach 26 years later and wanting to still travel for a few years, I made the trip to Eugene just to have Kaiser check it out They are absolutely the best and customers come back there over and over. One lady pulls a 7 horse trailer across country (she told me she puts 200000 thousand miles a year on that trailer and swears by Kaiser for assuring her that the trailer is ok) Believe me, if you need to have brakes, alignment, suspension etc, I would make an appointment with Kaiser It is well worth the effort and costs! Sometimes an old coach needs extra information on the suspension Any old safari owners, this is where you can have the Magnum Rubber torsion axle checked out. Have 2018 Georgetown 37 ft class A RV. Read that 1 of the RV companies were offering suspension upgrades when buying new Gas Class A RVs. So I u tubed it , than looked for local companies that offered the different possible upgrades. Got more than one bid , different local RV dealers and Kaiser. From that point on Kaiser excelled in their service. First to get back to me , best explanation of scope of work, they were not the least expensive but the expertise in which everything was presented and added value they provided ( free torque recheck of work after 500 miles ) was great. Very satisfied. Helped with steering tracking , no fatigue from fighting those large tires. Added safety if tires blows. Reduced swaying side to side, less bobbing , improved towing stability. Highly recommending if you travel for more than two hours. Can travel faster and more comfortable than before. ( wife could tell when I was going faster than 55, now I can get up to 65 with no mean looks) read more

In 2019, we used Kaiser Brake to rebuild the brakes (particularly the right front caliper which seized) on our 2005 Winnebago Minnie. Kaiser came highly recommended but was expensive. We accepted that given our desire for a quality lasting repair. The calipers and pads were NAPA Limited Lifetime warrantied. Their work was warranted for six (6) months. Two years after the repair (a little less than 2000 miles of travel (but 'excercising' every month), the right front caliper seized again while we were traveling. We managed to make it to Les Schwab in Coos Bay OR and they discovered that the brakes had not been properly bled of air causing the 'lock up'. Kaiser refused to accept responsibility saying we would have had to have the unit towed to Eugene OR (120 miles) for inspection, which was, of course, cost prohibitive. 'Poof' with the "warranty". It appears sloppy work by Kaiser was the culprit. Of note, Les Schwab offers a much longer warranty (36 months or 25,000 miles) and has multiple stores in the West. They also used factory renewed rotors (Kaiser did not which we now believe was not appropriate with rotors that had suffered high temperature 'burn' spots). read more

This was my first visit to Kaiser Brake and Alignment. They came highly recommended to me by Marathon Coach. Mel was extremely helpful and scheduled my appointment for the front end repairs and alignment on my Prevost Marathon Coach. The morning of the appointment they immediately starting working on my bus. After the front end repairs and alignment were finished while on the test drive Mel noticed a issue with my brakes. So he scheduled a appointment for the next morning. So I brought my coach back to them and once again they immediately got it in the shop and started working on it. Their service techs are professional, experienced and very knowledgeable. They found the problem pretty quickly and got it repaired. I was on the road in a few hours with a motorhome that went straight down the road and with good brakes. I sincerely appreciate the good old fashion quality customer service, at fare pricing. Updated Oct 19th 2016: I recently purchased a 2006 Marathon Coach and before leaving Oregon I brought it to Kaiser to have Mel check it out when I heard a unusual knocking sound in the front end. They immediately got it on the rack and did a full front end inspection. They found several issues with it that needed attention. Mel ordered the parts to be shipped UPS overnight and the next morning at 8:00am my coach was back on the rack and being taken apart waiting for the new components to be delivered by UPS and installed. It's rare to have a shop that will order parts with no deposit just based on your word and a handshake. Kaiser Brake is a good old fashion quality repair facility that offers great service and top notch highly qualified technicians. I am so grateful for the prompt customer service. Hands down a great customer service experience. Once again a big thanks to Mel and the staff at Kaiser Brake and Alignment for keeping my coach running straight down the road. It took nearly 5months to get our 5th wheel repaired with this company. We had been referred by Junction City RV for damages following a tire blow out. After waiting for 6 weeks just to get the unit in to them because of their schedule, it sat at their business another 3-1/2 months before work was completed. After picking up the unit, we discovered that the latch for the side cargo area had been broken and the power cord was damaged. We notified them of this, but of course "this was not their fault" despite the fact that it was fine when it went in and broken when it came out. In addition, if you plan on using anything but cash for your transaction, be aware that there is a 3% surcharge for using a credit card for payment. So bottom line is the 5th wheel is fixed, but we have to pay almost $150 in surcharge fees and another $170 for replacement of the broken items while left in their care. Really, really unhappy with this business! read more

I made an appointment about a week and half ahead for a Thursday/Friday window for a brake check and repair and alignment check on a Dodge 2500 4x4 pickup which had been sitting idle for 4 years. It took both days, plus a weekend sitting, plus two more days, with no communication except the call Friday with a cost estimate, which was accurate, I assume. The shop invoice indicated brake work fore and aft, so I also assumed things were good to go. They never did get the truck on the alignment rack, and enough time elapsed it was time to get it back. About a week later, another driver told me I had no brake lights, which were verified working during a light check a week before the truck went into Kaiser for work. I can't say the two are connected; may be coincidence. But given the work order/invoice description, if they did actually flush and bleed at the master cylinder, it would seem a function check would include making sure the brake lights worked. Given the attitude and lack of communication ("we forgot..."), I'll just do my own diagnosis and follow-up repairs on the light issue, rather than wrangle with them. MY take on Kaiser: Unless you've got a $300k or better high end motor coach, they seem to want to get you in and out of the way, yet, oddly, they take a long time to get to the job, even one this small. So, "buyer beware" truly applies here. I won't be back, nor would I recommend them, based upon my experience. read more

I was first told of this place, when I pulled into the Eugene Premier RV Resort, by the owner. I had been experiencing intermittent shimming on my motor-home and needed to get it checked out. The campground manager highly recommended this place, but said he only had experience with his car. I wanted an RV shop. The shop I ended up going to, was unable to do the repair and referred me to Kaiser. I was very pleased when I drove over to see they were indeed a good sized shop and many large vehicles in the lot. I made an appointment and took it there. I dropped the RV off at 8 AM and by 10 AM I got a call from the service man. He explained the repairs, and quoted a price. He said the part was coming from Portland, but they would get it the same day. I agreed to the repair and price; excellent, by the way. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was told the part they needed was missing off my coach to begin with. The installed a newer unit (steering stabilizer) and even had to fabricate the mounting bracket. The repair was very reasonable and the coach runs down the road, straight as an arrow and no shimmy. I highly recommend this shop to anyone needed chassis work on larger vehicles. I will indeed return, when that time comes again. Great job! read more

This is by far the worst automotive shop I have ever been to. They quote great prices an then gauge the hell out of you by the time they are done. It took them 3 times to get the alignment straight. They never did put the lift on an they put a big scratch on my front passenger fender that they won't admit to. I wish I had talked to my friend a little earlier because he told me Keizer Brake an alignment had ripped him off before when he was younger an would never advise anyone to go there. I was suspicious of slight misalignment due to tire wear on my 2012 Montana 5th wheel. On the recommendation of the shop that does the annual axle maintenance, I went to Kaiser Brake & Alignment to get the wheel alignment checked. I arrived early for my appointment and got checked in. Then Carl went with me to look at my rig and see the indications I was concerned about. Carl said things looked pretty good and unless they discovered something more that a needed alignment, they should be done within 2 hours. I left to go do some shopping. I went back to the shop after about 90 minutes and my rig was on the alignment rack but it was nearly done. The rear axle was fine and the front axle only needed some minor adjustment. I've only towed the rig 50 miles since they finished the job but it seemed to tow better. So far, I'm pleased. Time will tell. These folks have the facilities, equipment and know how to do any kind of suspension, frame and chassis work on trailers and motor homes. Check them out if you need alignment on your RV. read more

Took my truck in for a basic alignment after getting new tires. They called me 30 min before closing time to tell me that it needed a few new parts, which would raise the price of the visit to somewhere over $1000. What their tech didn't know was that my mechanic had inspected the front end carefully a week earlier while installing new shocks and found that everything was tight and it was ready for alignment. They tried to show me play in a wheel bearing without success. I asked them to just go ahead with a basic alignment and I'd take my chances, and a woman in the office told me that they wouldn't align it if it had worn parts. I asked for my keys, paid her $25 for the "inspection," and took it straight back to my mechanic, who once again inspected it and found everything to be tight. I then took it to a large chain-type tire shop, where they aligned it perfectly within an hour for $85 and also found no worn parts. I wouldn't recommend Kaiser to anyone who hates being upsold. read more
