Tuna avocado melt was toasty on the edges with a hint of herb butter, crusty cheddar with a generous serving of tuna salad and thick slices of avocado. The hint of sundried tomatos and dill is just enough to add a refreshing character to a normally heavy dish. The frenchtoast is surprisingly tender with enough of an aldente texture to give it a good bite, avoiding that sogginess you usually get with a brioche version. Strawberry bagel with guava cream cheese was delicious. My only recommendation would be to get the cream cheese on the side. I like my bagel toasty and crunchy but that's just my taste. We got the bagel with the cream cheese on top. It came a little less toasted than my liking but it was still delicious. Can't wait to come back and try the sandos. I work on Cooke St and Cafe Grace is across the street so swung by out of convenience. I came after the lunch rush--close to 1pm--so it wasn't crowded. On paper, their Alfredo Chicken Melt sounds enticing! The name itself sounds delicioso! Chicken, spinach, mushroom, bacon, provolone on an open face bagel. Flavorwise, delivered when all of the ingredients were in the same bite. There in lies the problem. The portion of chicken et al. did not match the bagel. I would have to maneuver how to bite the bagel so that I wouldn't be eating just bagel. I guess meals on a bagel is their niche? Ever had a burger where the patty was too small versus the bun? Same problem here. This might have been OK for a heavy breakfast but won't cut it for lunch where I expect to be well-fed. Just saw a notice on their website that they will revamp their menu. This cute place has gone way downhill in service and food quality. I used to frequent here a few times a month for a latte, bagel, or sandwich on the weekends. I even had take out with no issues. Problems started a couple months ago. Strike 1, went to eat in, they forgot to make our drinks and food came out before drinks. Others who came in after us got their drinks first. Strike 2, they got our order wrong and had to remake it. Strike 3, got take out, when back home discovered the order was wrong. Took a month break or so and gave them one last chance. Service still poor, cashier and barista more interested in talking to each other than greeting customers or making drinks. Why does it take 15 minutes to toast a bagel and put cream cheese on it? Been going to this place since it was first opened. It's located on the corner of Cooke st and kawaiakao st. Next door to pho nam. It's a smaller cafe but the stones here is so calming. You walk in and you feels like you can just sit on the couches that are provided for sitting and just sip on a cup of coffee. The workers are all welcoming and super nice. There are a few tables available in case you decide to eat in or you can order and go. My two fave entrees are the pasta salad and the Teri chicken. Who would've that that Teri chicken would taste so good one toaster bagel. Totally mind blowing. The price is a little on the higher side but well worth it once you get your order. Their bagels and cream cheese are super yummy! So far I've tried the classic smoked salmon, honey cream cheese, and jalapeño cream cheese bagels. All very very tasty except the only thing I'd suggest is to have the cream cheese on the side because they do put a lot of it on which I'd prefer less in my taste but other than that super delish! I am always on the hunt for new cafes to work out of and I'm so happy that I finally took the time to pay Cafe Grace a visit! Located in the Imperial Plaza, it's really easy to forgot that it exists because I don't frequent this area very often. I had a hankering for a bagel with lox and cream cheese and was excited when Cafe Grace popped up on my Yelp app. Upon arriving, a lovely Asian woman with glasses took my order and she was the sweetest person. She informed me that she'd only been working there for two weeks and even though I'd just met her, I wanted to tell her "Please don't ever leave!" Sometimes I get weird when I visit new businesses but she made me feel like Cafe Grace was my home and that I was welcome to be there. If you're a fan of the 90s TV show "Friends," this is a like a compressed version of their infamous coffee shop. My classic smoked salmon bagel came out quickly, served with a green salad and quinoa. I am so happy that I chose to eat this instead of a gigantic greasy breakfast which was bound to fill me with regret. Since Cafe Grace is run by the owners of Lox Of Bagels I knew that their bagels are baked fresh daily and would be nice and soft. This meal was the perfect way to start my day! There's metered parking on the street but park in the Imperial Plaza because Cafe Grace validates for THREE hours! Cafe Grace is a nice little coffee shop that specializes in bagels. I didn't even know about this place until I found it on yelp. It is located on the first floor at the Imperial Plaza building in Kakaako. There is metered street parking along Cooke St. I stopped by here on a Saturday morning before work to try it out for the first time. They have a nice interior and decor and the atmosphere seems conducive for studying. It had a very relaxing and cozy vibe. This place is closed on Sundays. I ordered the Banana Walnut French Toast. The french toast are actually bagels in place of the toast. It was very good but the bagels were a little hard. I was a little disappointed because I really wanted to try the Chicken Kale Pot Pie, but the cashier said it was a special and that they haven't served it for awhile. Overall, this is a very nice cafe and would probably come again. The service was good and the ambiance was very relaxing. Hopefully they have the pot pie next time I come. I went stopped into this establishment to get a late lunch and wait on my wife to finish work. I was taken from the streets of business into a relaxed, joyful, ambiance. Very clean with a bright and eclectic decor I was greeted by the staff immediately. She patiently waited as i decided on what I wanted. I chose the hot pastrami, one of my favorite sandwiches of all time, which was concerning because I have had some great ones in my day. I was NOT disappointed. I'm surprised that the overall reviews are so low for Cafe Grace. I'm not usually a huge bagel fan, but their bagel sandwiches are a nice and welcomed change to the Subway nearby and far better than the sandwiches offered by another shop in the same complex. Service is decent. Hopefully it will improve with time. The only complaint that I've heard is regarding the salad offerings here. Two of my co-workers have said they would never order the salads again. I'll have to take their word since I rarely order salads :p The lunch combo I had included a small side side, a cup of soup, and a sandwich. I left feeling pretty content :) The shop is larger than what it looks like from the outside. However, come early or plan on doing take-out because it does fill up quite fast. read more

I keep returning time after time and I'm not disappointed. The chicken melt sandwich and teri chicken bagel is delicious, but my favorite is the egg white pesto breakfast bagel. Of course the bagels are fresh and delicious...after all this place is the same owners as Lox of Bagels. Coffee and tea's are also delicious. Their latte is good and I like that they have Arnold Palmers and plantation iced teas. Plenty of other drink choices like Thai iced coffee, pumpkin spice, and iced teas. The staff have all been friendly when I've been here which I also appreciate. This is a go to spot for a relaxing weekend morning. A few years back I was in the Sand Island Industrial area and tried the famous bagel sandwiches from "Lox of Bagels," so when Cafe Grace opened near my office I was quite excited to give them a try. Ive tried a few items that revolve around their tasty bagels. I must say, I really do enjoy the flavor and soft texture of their freshly baked bagels. Here are my comments on a few items: Smoked Salmon with Jalapeno Egg Salad : Did not care for the flavor of the egg salad and it did not complement the smoked salmon very well. The bagel however was excellent. Arugula with Egg White Omelet, Mozzarella & Tomato on Pesto and Everything Bagel: This is a very tasty sandwich for breakfast. You cant go wrong with this combination of ingredients. Curry Chicken with Arugula Bagel Sandwich: Ive had this twice. Did not like the flavor of the chicken curry the first time and it was not anything special. It could use a bit more flavor. The taste improved on my second try, but still not a fan of this one. Alfredo Chicken Melt with Spinach, Bacon, Mushrooms and Provolone: This is an excellent creation. Its very flavorful and works perfectly on top of their bagels. Its like eating a bagel pizza! The cafe also has a selection of salads, soups, desserts, espresso drinks, and other creations like french toast. It also has nice warm decor, good ambiance, and friendly staff. Ill be sure to be back for more. While I did not love a few of the sandwich items, Im giving them 4 bagels because the bagels themselves are excellent and I like the ambiance of the cafe. read more

Holy smokes.... So I've been on island 3 years and I've been looking for a coffee shop that I can just chill. One that reminds me of my favorite one in St. Charles and I can enjoy the music, good grinds, and good coffee. I walk in and Fast Car by Tracy Chapman is playing. I'm already a fan. It was all 90s music that reminded me of cruising in my car when I was 16. It put me that place. Memory lane...... So I asked if they had a seasonal coffee. Their pumpkin spice lattes came in today. Score. It was like the coffee gods arranged my destiny today. :) They had so many choices of good bagel sandwiches like Alfredo chicken melt and curry chicken. I opted for the hot roast beef but had mine on taro. It had Swiss, mushrooms and caramelized onions. It was fantastic. They have an array of puffs to choose from. It is located on the Plaza strip right across from my job so I decided to go here for a coffee break one day and I've been going back every day ever since! I absolutely love this place!! The espresso beverages are good during the week, but hit or miss on the weekends: Like boiling hot oversteamed milk in collapsed-froth cappuccinos that taste like burnt beans. Same problem with consistency regarding the food: On some days you get artfully arranged, carefully sliced pieces of stacked fruit on a perfectly toasted bagel presented on a color-coordinated porcelain plate. On other days you get a soggy unidentifiable mess that has been steaming in a paper take-out box although you ordered for eat-in. It tastes good, it's just not pretty. Cafe Grace is a "good feeling" cafe. The ambiance is nice with couches and different kinds of chairs and what not. There is a large assortment of bagels, sandwiches, salads, pizza, coffee and teas. It's overwhelmingly awesome! I ended up getting a pasta salad. The salad was about $10 (pricey!) and had about 2-2.5 cups of pasta, 1 big romaine leaf, 3 pieces of chicken, some strips of pepperoni, cherry tomatoes, green bell peppers, and cheese...LOTS of cheese- shredded cheese and cubed cheese. It tasted okay, (tasted like cheese!) but if I ever do return here I wouldn't get it again. It seems that the bagels are their specialty...they look so good in the other Yelp reviews! I was unimpressed with the cafe mocha (I think that's what it's called) but then again I don't usually get mocha, I usually drink hazelnut flavored drinks or lattes, which they didn't have. Overall maybe if I have to be in the area, I'll try a bagel but otherwise I won't really come back for coffee or salad.
