My husband and I were in the area and decided to try Little G Cafe after seeing all the positive Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. After looking over the menu options, we stood waiting for quite a while before anyone acknowledged us or took our order. The manager seemed rude and unwelcoming, which immediately set a negative tone for the visit. Looking back we should have trusted our first impression, but we decided to give it a chance and see what the hype was about. We each ordered a slice of pizza and took it outside to eat. After eating , we walked past the glass wall of the cafe and I noticed the manager handling and mixing flour with his bare hands, with the flour mixture covering his hands and forearms. I didn't expect to see food prep without disposable gloves and it made me uncomfortable. The pizza itself didn't make up for the experience. At around $22 per slice, I was expecting something exceptional or life-changing, instead, it was pretty underwhelming. The flavor, texture, and overall quality just didn't justify the premium price. Between the unfriendly service, concerns about food handling, and the disappointing pizza, I don't feel the experience was worth the cost of overpriced slices of pizza and I will not be returning nor will I recommend Little G Cafe to others. There are plenty of other pizza spots in Honolulu, including Boston's Pizza, that offer better value and a much more welcoming atmosphere. read more

Legit pizza by the slice - excellent cheese slice which is the best way to judge pizza. The crust is a little less blistered than some places but is solid, great bite, foldable, served on classic NY white paper plates with wavy rim. They have some creative other slices like vodka sauce with pesto etc which are tasty but if you're a pizza purist and lover you can't go wrong with two cheese slices. There aren't much frills so you can have water or soda from their mini fridge. Almost like going to a corner pizza place in the city. Sandwiches available sometimes. We go early for lunch on Sundays and grab a seat outside. The proprietor was especially kind and friendly to my FIL and I appreciated that. Overall this is the second best NY style pizza place after black shamrock by a small margin - the Jersey pie at shamrock with its awesome sauce and perfect crust is hard to beat but don't think you can order it by the slice. Just got off an office diet challenge where we ate no carbs for three months and after our diet challenge the entire office knew we wanted to LIL G'S!! Nothing like eating huge sandwiches and the best pizza around! Our office orders takeout frequently from little g's and we absolutely love it here! We usually have place our order a few days in advance to secure our order for the day we want. They do run out fast so it is safer to place the order in advance too. You can order online but after a certain amount it requires you to phone in your order. I didn't grab a picture of everyone's food but this was the two sandwiches I got! The chicken parm is incredible stacked with 3-4 pieces of chicken parm and their red sauce with mozzarella served hot. The Italian has three different meat with cheese and lettuce and bell peppers served cold. These were served with a different grained bread which was a lil different than what we are used to but still really great! Service here is always great and food is always mind blowing with their large portions and fresh ingredients! read more

I was craving a slice of pizza and searching, I found Little G's. I just missed the lunch crowd, and asked if they were still open cause there were no pizza's in the case. The guy said they could still make full pies. So since I was on vacation, why not? My test is always a pepperoni pizza. As I waited, I looked around the space. Great tables along a balcony. Shaded by some of the trees, and there was a nice breeze blowing. I didn't know if parking was available for the building, but I found a space around the corner. There were a number of people coming in and some were repeat customers, which is a good sign. He: Order for Mike Opened the box in the car. Thin crust and generous pepperonis. I couldn't wait to get back to my hotel. I love folding slices and the flavor was delicious. I do wish I had some ranch for the crust. I didn't understand the slice of lemon, until I read up about Little G's, in an old article in the Honolulu magazine. The real test was the refrigerator. Around 9 pm, as I was packing, I grabbed a slice out of my small hotel fridge. This was perfect! I love cold pizza and this did not disappoint. I will dream about this sandwich. It was HUGE and it was DELICIOUS. This hole in the wall, hidden gem is a must visit if you're in the area. It's a small business located on the second floor of a building with a few other businesses and restaurants. They offer sandwiches and pizza, and the pizza is also offered by the slice. We ordered the Italian Combo Hero ($20), a slice of pepperoni ($5), and a specialty slice ($7). We found a table there, it's a small spot but they have a few four tops so you can enjoy your food right away. We didn't notice their little fridge when we ordered and didn't see drink offerings listed so we went downstairs to grab a drink. THEN we noticed the fridge with some drink offerings (so keep an eye out for it). The pizza came out pretty quickly, but the sandwich took a bit longer. It is well worth the wait though because it is SO BIG. Not only was it big, but it was also crafted so well and packed with ingredients and flavor. The bread was also fresh and so flavorful too. After half of the sandwich I was stuffed. The owner came over to check on us and we gushed about how good everything was. Little G Cafe has some seriously delicious pizzas! We always walk by this place whenever we grab food from Le's Banh Mi (which is also really good), and finally decided to stop in for some slices before heading to the movies. We ordered five different slices, and every single one was incredible even the taco special! Unfortunately, they were out of the cheese slice, but everything else totally made up for it. The flavors were bursting with every bite and you can really taste how fresh the ingredients are. The crust was perfectly crispy, and what I loved most is that even after devouring everything we didn't feel heavy at all. The staff were nice and took the time to explain each of the pizzas to us. My parents and I love Little G's. My mom loves going on their Slice Sunday's and trying the different and unique offerings. The staples like Cremini Mushroom with white truffle cream are our favorites. But on Sunday's you'll find fun flavors like thai curry, linguica, spinach & garlic, etc. Sunday's will offer foccacia slices in addition to their regular pizzas. The one slight is that their pizza is best eaten fresh. I've done take-out a few times and the pizza just isn't quite the same as when you get it piping hot. So best to enjoy the pizza at the outside tables ASAP. Here's a little secret - don't sleep on their subs. My fave used to be their Italian Hero, but they stopped offering it. The subs are ginormous and hefty; they could easily feed 2-3 people. The Mortadella is a close 2nd. The Chicken Parm that I tried was tasty but the chicken was a little on the dry side. During lunch and dinner hours, the shop gets busy, so I recommend ordering ahead of time. I believe there is limited valet parking, but most people park on the street or at the Walmart structure (shhhhh!). read more

Bruh. The sandwich alone makes this place sooo amazing, but then again, we've been super early fans of Garibaldi's since ohana hale marketplace days! So glad they opened a shop when ohana hale closed. Now they sell their famous Sicilian pizzas in their shop on Sheridan Street. I was searching Yelp for a quick snack and came across Little G Cafe. The rating and photos caught my eye so I went to check them out. They're located in the 808 Center, which I've never been to. I've "seen" it, but never knew what it was called since the signage doesn't "shout"! Anyways, it's the new building on the corner of Sheridan and Rycroft. The address is 808 Sheridan St, hence, "808 Center"...LOL. It's across of Walmart and Sam's on Keeamoku. 3 floors of restaurants and entertainment, who knew?! Little G Cafe is on the 2nd floor. There are tables and chairs outside to enjoy your food. Oh, I took a photo of the beautiful artwork from the 2nd floor by the elevator. They have valet; valet entry is off of Sheridan St. There is limited street parking or if you're bold enough, park at Walmart and walk across the street. They open at 11, Yelp said 12p but I know it's not always correct. I got there later, around 3:30p so there were literally only 2 slices of pizza left. Service was great. The guy apologized that there wasn't more choices - I couldn't wait around either. He was sweet and at least asked if I wanted the corner or the middle piece. Initially I was bummed that I didn't have much of a choice but I really wanted to try it. He warmed it up and I ate it at the table. Little pizzeria in the second floor. They change to opening at noon instead of 3pm which allowed me to try their food for the first time. So many people here with all the tables full make it seem like the food would be awesome, but don't be fooled. It is not that good. It is not was tasty as the pizza at wholefoods. The bacon potato pizza has thin crust, but the crust was spongy and too soft. And potato on pizza? Carbs in carbs? That's not my favorite. The burrata, pistachio, ham on thick bread tasted bland. So I walked in cold, having heard of this from a fellow Elite that they had better sandwiches than a certain mozzarella factory in Kaka'ako. Welp, turns out they don't serve sandwiches on Sundays, folks. We walked in just before 2p for a late lunch and there were maybe 8 or so partial pizzas left in the case for SLICE SUNDAY which is apparently all they offer on Sundays. Be informed, unlike me. So you walk up, see what's available, pick out your slices, and they will reheat and serve em up! I came with a friend and we decided 2 slices was too much, but 1.5 might be just right. So we split a slice of Penne Vodka pizza (yup) and I ordered the Sicilian style tomato & ricotta. Our pieces were delivered to our table - I think because they probably called our name and we didn't hear them - and let me tell you that crunch was uh-mazing. I am not really a major pizza fan. It's nowhere near a top things to eat list for me. But this pizza crust was so good. And the other textures were just right. Penne vodka pizza works, people. I don't know if that's all I'd want to eat, but to share for a tasting, absolutely great. I loved my ricotta square. That thicker crust was so crispy and yet fluffy on the inside. Tomatoes were plump and juicy. Have to come back for those bombucha sandwiches! (Served only on Saturdays and Wednesdays apparently!) By the way, when we were about leaving I noticed the pizza case had SOLD OUT written on it. We really had no clue what we were doing, but everything worked out. Seems we came just in time. Ambiance/Service: Cute little spot on the second floor of the building on Rycroft. Super nice worker, he explained everything once we came in. He asked if we wanted our slices hot and we did. So he threw them in the oven for about a minute or two. There's about 6 tables right outside, with 3-4 chairs each, and about 5 bar stools on a counter on the inside. Value/Food: Awesome prices! $5 for regular slices and $6 for specialty, definitely worth the price for how large and flavorful they were. Made for a very affordable lunch for my partner and I. I believe I heard the worker say they do slices Tuesday through Sunday. Absolutely delicious pizza! I got the spinach garlic parm and my partner got the Portuguese sausage, both were tasty, but the white sauce on the spinach was definitely hard to beat. The flavor and creaminess of that sauce is to die for. The crust is on the thinner side, but still a little floppy, the best kind in our opinion. It had a very nice crisp but not like cardboard kind if that makes sense. Parking options: You can either park on the street or in the little parking lot in the back (off of Sheridan). A quick stop for a nice lace of pizza. Very well made, nice and crispy on the bottom, soft and chewy on the edges. Very tasty combinations of flavors will include kimchi, bacon, shishido peppers, pepperoni, mushrooms et al. Great location with a nice view from the balcony onto the street. Been wanting to try this place out for years! Finally had some time on a Sunday to stop by for Slice Sundays because I wanted to try out all the flavors. The wait was around 20-30mins to order & a bit longer to get your order if you wanted it warmed up. They're around $5 a slice. I liked bringing some slices home & air frying it so it comes out hot and crispy with a cheese pull hehe. We got: - Pepperoni: Fresh mozzarella with a good amount of pepperoni. Cheese was a little too thick when it is not hot so brought it home & tasted much better after being placed in the air fryer. Crust was crispy and thin. - Cremini mushroom: So garlicky! It was Sicilian crust so a thicker square slice. Love cremini mushrooms! Crust was fluffy. - Spicy Soppressata: My personal favorite! This was soooo good. I love the hot honey they put & the jalapeños give a nice kick. Soppressata also had a kick & all the flavors of the cheese & marinara sauce worked so well! -Sicilian pepperoni: Wow reminded me of the square pizza we got in NYC from Prince street. Had the cupped pepperoni with the thick but light and airy crust. Marinara sauce and the mozzarella were perfect. So good! - Sausage spinach & Ricotta: This one was okay. Didn't really stand out as much as the others. Mild Italian sausage paired well with the ricotta. Crust was like the traditional pepperoni slice, thin and crispy. - Cheese: I don't usually like just cheese pizza but got this for my daughter & tried it and wow! Really good! The marinara sauce was so tangy and delish when paired with the cheese. Would get this again and who can say no to a $1 slice?! Honestly if I could give 4.5 I would but since I can't I'll just say 5. The reviews on the service are quite accurate-- the person on the phone was quite unfriendly. The wait time for the pizza was also pretty long. They quoted us 20 minutes but it was closer to 45. With that being said the pizza is so good that it essentially doesn't matter. The crust is thin and crispy, it's perfectly cooked. Little G's is the closest you'll get to an NY slice on island. I waited downstairs and my boyfriend grabbed the pizza. The parking is unideal but the shop seems to do the trick. It's nothing fancy but it's clean and functional. TLDR: the guy on the phone could have yelled at me and I would probably still have given a good review. Try Little G's if you care more about good food than service. read more

When we tried to eat the pizza, the cheese will not adhere to the pizza dough itself so it was hard to get a piece with cheese on it, when we pull apart the pieces, the cheese would just come off completely. Bro, I came back...the Little G's was calling to me. This time, I ate in. Grabbed a table on the lanai and waited for our MASSIVE sandwiches to show up. We took pictures of them next to our faces because it is a challenge to fit your mouth around these things (lol). This time I got the chicken parm sandwich and HOLY SHIT was this thing good. It's easily enough for two people, and maybe even for two meals. My beautiful wife doesn't care for warm sandwiches, but she said this was the best one SHE'S EVER HAD. Finally, we are back in Honolulu and made it a point to taste Little G's thin crust pizza. Loved it!! At the recommendation of Dan O., we tried the kimchi Bacon pizza. Wow! I would not have thought to combine the two but how magical the flavors are together! Starting with the crust, I enjoyed the crisp texture. It doesn't leave you feeling bloated the way thick crusts sometimes do. The pizza sauce was tasty, not salty. The kimChi topping was perfect, so as to not make the crust soggy. And who doesn't love bacon?!?! For me, I gotta say their mozzarella cheese on this pizza is really top notch. I took a bite, started chewing, and literally stopped to savor each and every flavorful bite! Great combination, props to whomever came up with this menu item :) Super grateful to have tables and seats available to dine under their umbrellas on the patio. The first time I came (a while ago), I absolutely loved the pizzas here and the unique combinations. I knew I had to come back. I came back recently and it was a bit confusing with their new dinner service. You can only sit in their area if you do dinner service, but the full size pizzas are only to go. You can't mix full pizzas with dinner service items either. We came for the pizzas, so we just ordered to go. And when it took long, they told us we could sit and have water but not eat there. But then they eventually just let us eat there since it was empty. The back and forth with the employees was super confusing. The pizza was still good, but not amazing like the first time. Swung by to see about something small prior to meeting cup with friends at another spot. Got chatting with the owner and the pizza looks delicious. He turned out just making a salad for me no charge just because. Super kind and above and beyond. Can't wait to come back here and actually do the pizza.
