We came here three months ago, and I thought the food, the service and the restaurant were great! This location is on Peachtree, just down the street from the Town Brookhaven area. We had previously been to another Kale Me Crazy, but this was our first time at this location. Kale Me Crazy shares a parking lot behind the building with other small businesses. When we came here, it was easy to find open parking spaces, and parking is free. We walked through the rear door. This location is small, clean and well lit. Although there weren't any other customers in the restaurant when we arrived, the employees were very busy, and most of their business was take out. The employee who took our orders welcomed us when she saw us, and quickly and efficiently took our orders. I ordered a chicken pesto wrap, which came with grilled chicken, basil pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzerella cheese, lettuce and cucumbers wrapped in a spinach tortilla and served grilled. R ordered a double avocado toast, which was avocado, organic hard-boiled egg, dijon mustard, scallion mix and sprouted bread. While we were waiting, which was no longer than 10 minutes, at least four people came in to pick up their to go orders, which were ready for them. There aren't many tables in this store, and R and I sat at the counter on tall stools. There were some tables in front of the store, but they weren't being used because it was raining outside. Our server was experienced. I didn't want to eat the same food I had eaten before, so prior to placing my order, I showed the server a picture of the previous meal that I had at a Kale Me Crazy, and she identified it correctly, telling me exactly what it was. Our food came out nice and hot! My chicken pesto wrap reminded me of a fully stuffed burrito, and it was so delicious and full of different textures, from the gooey mozzarella cheese, to the crunchy fresh lettuce. I was very pleased with my meal, and R loved his double avocado toast. Love this location! Kale Me Crazy has been popping up with new locations within Atlanta last year and I'm loving it. I remember the very first one was in Inman park couple years back where I would always stop by after a bike ride on the Beltline and that would be the only time I would have access to it. But with this location, I can enjoy it on my way home from work! My usual smoothie favorites are Recovery and Pink Splash. I also enjoy the Warrior, Super Matcha, and Refresh but sometimes it's a hit or miss with the ones with the bananas. Not sure if it's just me, but can have a weird after-taste. I've recently tried the 3 day detox and it was good in the sense that I got to try most or all of their juices and felt little lighter and cleansed. Might have been that I didn't get through the full 3 days due to parents being in town, but if it's for last minute weight loss, it isn't that effective. However, unlike Arden's garden detox, the juices do not weaken your teeth and it's more bearable as you're consuming more than citrus juice. The first day, 6 juices were perfect but I think it should be reduced to 5 on second day and 4 on the third day as your hunger reduces and the juices are pretty hearty and full of calories. Some of my favorite juices were Pear-dise and Revive. My least favorites were Kale Yeah and Fire Fighter. Oh and the PainKiller shot that you're suppose to start off the detox days... painful to take... so gingery. Overall I didn't think the 3 day detox was worth its steep price for me, and would recommend picking up a juice here and there instead. Only minor issue I have for this location is the parking. When it's not busy, parking is plenty but when they have Orange Theory classes, there's no place to park other than the 2 that is designated for Kale Me Crazy. read more

Since I work nearby, this is my favorite place to order a smoothie or a light meal. The customer serivce is quick and friendly. The wait time is less than 5 minutes to order and maybe 5-15 minutes to pick up (depending on what you order). The Recovery smoothie ($10) is always and will be my most favorite. I always drank this whenever I felt low on energy or stressed out at work. When it's cold outside, I would switch to Hot Cocoa ($5). Not overly bitter or sweet. Tropical trippin' smoothie ($9) is also good but sour (because of mango). The avocado toast ($7) is yummy but pricey for one toast. The vegan wrap is not to my liking- I just don't like texture of kale. The acai bowl ($11) is delicious and healthy - kinda watery if you don't eat right away. I might be mistaken, but I believe the only meat option is their Poke Bowl. I arrived after a short walk from the Brookhaven Marta station. The restaurant is relatively small but has counter and table seating, along with a few spots outside. While the Poke Bowl looked interesting, I ended up with the Greek Salad. I've seen Kale Me Crazy pop up all over Atlanta the past couple years but haven't had the urge to stop in for overpriced healthy drinks. However, after running a 5K one morning, I was feeling inspired and motivated. This location is perfect for the health nut in Brookhaven, as well as on the way home. The plaza also has an Orange Theory Fitness and is one plaza over from Thrive Fitness and a health food store. I've been to this location a couple times now and found their smoothies to be ok - they taste very basic, but contain vegan and organic protein as well as their own almond milk! I've had the Recharge smoothie, which is slightly lower in sugar but tasty, and the Super Matcha smoothie, which was a little disappointing since I couldn't really taste any matcha. I've also tried their Acai Bowl and their Poke Bowl. Both were average - although I did like how the Poke Bowl had clearly separated elements, versus the bowls I see these days that mix everything together in one big mess. My biggest complaint is definitely price. While I've had cold-pressed juices in this price range, smoothies are literally just blended fruits, which most people can make at home... most people meaning, namely me. However, it is nice to have just one serving of those fresh ingredients and not have to drink the same smoothie all week, which is what would happen if I tried to make it myself. I can't complain about quality and service here. Food is good and the ingredients are fresh. I can only comment on the smoothies because that's all I've ever gotten from KMC but my favorite is the super matcha. No, it's not packing the most greens but it's so delightful that I can't resist. It's a beautifully blended mix of matcha green tea, blueberries, banana, spinach, chia seeds, agave, and almond milk! The kale-licious is another go-to and is made up of kale, spinach, apple, banana, almond milk and flax seeds. Both are yummy and under 300 calories. It's not cheap, my friends. Which is part of the reason I don't make a habit of drinking smoothies. But if I did, they'd get every dollar. A smoothie will run ya $8-10. But fresh ingredients make it worth the spend. I've been to other locations and I enjoy their food + drinks, even if they are a little overpriced. However, this time around was not so great. My drink was wrong which was probably an error on my part, but when I I let the worker know she was very annoyed and was snippy with me. She quickly brought out the iced matcha latte but I feel like she just gave me milk. It had zero taste of matcha, it was milk colored, and quite literally just tasted like milk. While it is a tad pricey for me personally ($10-12 for a smoothie bowl, $8-10 for smoothie, $11 for two pieces of avocado toast), I end up going here often because I like the atmosphere of the place and the healthiness of their foods. Favorites: Recharge smoothie (kale, chard, coconut yogurt, almond milk, banana, vegan protein) and Açaí Bowl TIP: The banana is important in the Recharge smoothie because it adds a sweetness and creaminess to the rather leafy green drink. Unless you are allergic, I would not recomend substituting the banana out. People love this place...and I just don't get it! I am totally on the health food train but this wheatgrass shot / juice cleanse thing just seems overdone - and if I'm being honest a bit pretentious. This KMC is relatively new; it's only been open a few months if I'm remembering correctly. There is almost always a wait for food as it's packed with students from nearby Oglethorpe, folks coming and going from the Crossfit gym next door, etc. They do offer an order ahead service via their app, as well as delivery from some of the local services (DoorDash, etc., I believe). Anyway, I came for lunch with the BF on a really hot day; smoothies and light, summery food seemed like a great decision. I ordered us each a smoothie and an entree... and not only did it cost over $40, but we wound up eating again around 3pm because it just wasn't enough food to keep either of us full! ($40 for glorified snacks, SMH.) The BF had the Chicken Pesto Wrap (organic chicken, basil pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, lettuce and cucumbers in a spinach tortilla, served grilled). It doesn't come with any sides; you can add half a salad for an upcharge. He devoured the entire thing in four bites. It was just not a substantial meal. He also had the Green Dream smoothie which he enjoyed, but said it wasn't worth $9. I felt the same way about my Pink Splash smoothie (beet, apple, strawberry, coconut yogurt, date and lime juice). It was super refreshing and I could really taste the freshness (or do I mean feel the pulp? Hmm...) but for $9?! Not worth it. My poke bowl was just OK. I think with the number of places you can get fresh poke in ATL now my standards have risen. If you want to do a juice cleanse, by all means, make a stop here! I asked him two easy questions and he answered back with annoyance in his tone. Chill out guy, I've never been here before geesh! Tried an acai bowl for the very first time here today after my workout, and I now see what all the hype is about! We got the regular acai bowl ($9 -topped with just bananas/strawberries, granola, and honey) and the deluxe acai bowl ($11), which was just the reg plus chia seeds, hemp seeds, goji berries, sliced almonds, & blueberries. For those of you that haven't had an acai bowl before, it basically tastes like a bowl of smoothie with fruit/other toppings on top. I've been to this location 4 or 5 times as well as 2 other locations. They're all pretty similar with cleanliness. I find the cashiers at this location to not be as friendly as other locations. Service is pretty quick since I've never encountered a long line here. If you're in to healthy smoothies, wraps, and salads this is your place. My favorites are the KMC matcha latte, the refresher smoothie, and either of the acai bowls. I've also had a salad and a wrap but can't remember which ones but I do remember the ingredients tasted super fresh and crisp. TLDR: Cold-pressed juice is finally in Brookhaven and Kale Me Crazy is happy to sell you one for a ridiculous price. The long version: Cold-pressed juice is a phenomenon occurring all over the US and it's finally made its way to the city of Atlanta and Brookhaven. Kale Me Crazy is a local-chain of cold-pressed juice shops that started in the Inman Park area I think. They have a few around town and this one in Brookhaven is the latest. If you've never had cold-pressed juice, you're not missing much. For the most part they taste really healthy and probably are for you. I drink them only for the nutrition aspect and nothing more. Kale Me Crazy has a variety of juices all around ~$7-$8 that are pre-made that day or the day before and bottled. The juices themselves last for about 1-3 days (closer to 2) and aren't as filling as you might think. They also have smoothies for about the same and some entrees I've never had. The price point is definitely up there for what you get so be warned. They also do juice cleanses which can be as expensive as ~$150 for a 3-day supply of juice and shots. The shots are concentrated 'wellness' shots meant to make you feel better. They taste even worse than the juices and therefore, I'm hoping, are even better for you. I have no clue if the juices really are a good way of getting the veggies/fruits in your diet but for almost $10 a bottle it better be. I personally feel better about myself after drinking one but that could be a complete placebo effect too. If you're local it's worth checking out but not worth a trip if it's out of your way. I'll probably come here because it's on my way to work and I'm not tired of overpaying for the juices... yet. read more

Delicious tomatoes, kalamata olives, and lettuces with extra crunchy cucumbers and garbanzos. Feta and dressing were flavorful and matched well. My wrap was pretty plain, will skip it if I'm back here. The KMC latte is delicious, but pricy ($5). It tastes a lot like haroset and is surprisingly light. It has more to offer than typical organic juice shops, like salads, acai bowls, and wraps! Be mindful that you will pay a bit more for these than you would an Arden's garden. I recommend any smoothie on the menu or the "Wellness shot" if you're feeling adventurous. I ordered the "Grounded" smoothie. Raw cacao, protein, coconut, almond milk(homemade in house). I thought the salad would be good but was surprised by the juice as I've had some (not here) that are just terrible. My only complaint is that this place is SO expensive. I love a good burger, hot wings, nachos, etc...but only sparingly. Kale Me Crazy's latest location in Brookhaven is a place I can go every day and get a cold pressed juice of my choice, shot of highly concentrated wheat grass, or a smoothie or wrap. They don't pasteurize their juices, which essentially renders them ineffective. Service was extremely friendly and prompt - we walked there with our dog and they delivered our drink orders to our tables outside and even brought a water dish for the dog. I had a "brain on" shot which is essentially live algae! This did not taste great, but I didn't expect it to.
