I had seen this place all over social media so I finally decided to stop in. A patient of mine mentioned she was going to get a smoothie from here when she left our office so I went in that same day. I'm glad it's only about 3 minutes away, and I was even more glad that there was no one in there when I arrived. After I placed my order, the lunch crowd rolled in, ha!! Anyway, I ordered an Avocado Toast (1/2 order) and one of their Phoenix Children's Smoothie. The money they make from those special smoothies goes to support Phoenix Children's Hospital. The smoothie itself wasn't super sweet. In fact, I think it actually lacked sweetness, but I guess that's a good thing because we all could watch our sugar intake, right? They sell a bunch of house made fresh organic juices as well. Idk how much those were, because they didn't have prices on them. They do have a wide variety of flavors combinations to choose from. They also have Kaleidoscope branded merch for sale. I did like my Avocado Toast but I only ordered 1 slice. It tasted good, but I should have ordered 2 slices (a "full order"). There is an indoor dining area as well as some outdoor tables and chairs if you choose to dine outside. The prices are higher than average but that reflects the quality of their products. They don't use any of if the bad stuff. Parking wasn't a problem when I went. There are multiple spots outside the store along the street on both sides. Discovered this juice and smoothie place on an early morning walk in Scottsdale. It's super popular! They also have several other locations in Arizona. The smoothies taste 'healthy' (meaning they don't taste decadently rich or sweet) but are good. I tried the 'mint chip' flavor, which is billed as a "meal replacement". Definitely took the place of having breakfast! Ingredients are frozen banana, avocado, spirulina, almond butter, cacao nibs, peppermint essential oil, 'Sunwarrior Vegan Vanilla Protein' and house-made unsweetened almond milk. The regular size is $13.75. I would order it again. I also tried one of their chocolate muffins... it was the last one so I figured it must be good...but it was a bit dry and not amazing. It did have a rich chocolate flavor but just a bit dry. I think I'll skip the muffin next time. The smoothie "meal replacement" is made fresh to order, but I must've waited at least 10 minutes for my smoothie. Which is a little on the long side. There were several people ordering multiple smoothies, I guess to drop off somewhere or to bring to the staff at work, which probably slowed down the queue. This local juice bar features cold-pressed juice, ready to go food, made to order smoothies, avocado toast, banana nut toast, acai bowls, tonics, wellness shots, organic coffee, and gluten-free baked goods. It's nice inside and they have some cute merch for sale, like logo sweatshirts. I love the fact that they have some health orientated books on a small cart (like a mini library) by the merch section that you can read while you're enjoying your smoothie, so you can catch up on nutrition trends. There was an interesting one about mushrooms. Located in one of my favorite parts of Scottsdale, 1st Avenue, which is very walkable and scenic with mid-century architecture, art galleries and cute stores. read more

Saw the Strawberry Shortcake smoothie advertised on TikTok and when I learned it was dairy-free I immediately went the next day. I love when places have unique and interesting smoothie flavors. Not only are there some interesting choices here, but they are beautiful, many with vibrant swirling colors. And delicious. I tried (multiple visits) the flue shot, the blue majik, and the cherry pitch. All really good. And the gluten free vegan chocolate muffin was amazing. The service was fast and the staff were cheerful and friendly. The table centerpieces were stacks of books about healthy eating with little plants on top which gave the place a comfortable and fun vibe and the books were fun to peruse while we sipped our drinks. Kaleidoscope is a local juice/smoothie/health food shop that is located in old town Scottsdale. They have other locations as well. The place is bright and cute. Been a while since I stopped in. I went to hot yoga and then came here. I had the strawberry warrior with spinach added. Very tasty and hit the spot. I have a blender at home so I usually just make my own smoothies, but if you're out & about and wanting some really great juice or smoothies this spot is legit. I usually read the one star reviews of places just to see what is said. I saw many about staff being unfriendly or rude. I obviously can't speak to the experiences of others, however for myself the people working there are SUPER friendly. Making eye contact and asking about my day. Being generally pleasant and friendly. Maybe it's different staff now? Or maybe it just happens like that sometimes. People have off days. So far I haven't experienced any negativity. It's a juice shop lol. I also saw many comments about things being over priced, I would say the prices are relatively standard given this type of stuff usually isn't "cheap". My large smoothie was $11 plus tax. The small was $10 so it made sense to pay a dollar more for the bigger serving. In my experience "healthy stuff" usually isn't the cheapest, but spending money on products and services that are good for my body is worth it, to me. Plus, coming here gives me great smoothie ideas for home so really they are saving me money ;) anyway, it's a great spot. read more

Yuuuum! Small, yellow building As I walked in I was greeted by lady at registered. You feel welcomed with a friendly face. I was craving an açaí bowl and I was recommend by Abby from Hilton canopy. She definitely hit the spot. The place does have limited seating but over all you manage to be comfortable. I opt for matcha ice latte, not sure what milk and other stuff she suggested but I added I do remember maple, which gave it a great kick! I went for the pitaya bowl and it was also a great hit, perfect snack/ small meal replacement, with plenty of fruit and toppings. It is smaller than what I am used to but I'm from Texas and everything is bigger in Texas. Price is moderate-high but the experience with service, taste and little to no wait time helps. read more

I've been wanting to try this place again. I had it a couple of years ago but earlier this year my gym was promoting a drink. I went again this past weekend and tried the strawberry shortcake (which is a meal replacement). It's a little spendy but the drink was super good. I split it between 2 meals. I do wish they had nutritional information... it tastes like it has a lot of calories but hoping it's just a trick and it's pretty healthy. The girl recommended this one as it's one of their more popular drinks. I also tried the flu shot juice. I don't want to say I don't like it (it's not my thing anywhere) but if it gives me some type of health benefit after being sick, I'm in! Overall, I don't think I'd become a regular. It had the perfect amount of spice & I definitely felt a boost of energy after chugging it. The pressed juice was fresh & didnt give that "super sugary" after taste like other juices. I love kaleidoscope products! What a pleasure it has been to watch this business grow over the years from their original location to many around the Valley! I regularly replenish after hot yoga classes with their strawberry collagen water sold at Radi8, but when I am in need of fresh juice, a filling smoothie, or am craving a healthy treat, I head to this location for my fill! I am currently sipping on a Gold juice, which is one of my favorites (made from organic apple, lemon, ginger and cayenne). I just noticed that on the bottle, it also says "made with love in sunny Arizona." Love that and I can feel it! Unfortunately, they no longer offer many savory food options, other than the avo smash, which I need to try next visit. (Gone are the days of delicious salads, burritos and other options, but times have changed and it's understandable). Head on in and order in store or plan ahead and order online... either way, customer service from the kaleidoscope team is always kind and helpful. We went with their Avocado Smash with their gluten free bagel (which is AMAZING) and their sourdough. I also got their Crown juice (carrot, lemon, apple and ginger) which was fresh and satisfying. A little parched and exhausted after touring the Optima apartments above so we decided to stop by for some smoothies. We each got the Flu Shot since that sounded like the perfect item to have to boost our immunities. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and quick making our drink. Running errands around lunchtime calls for fuel! My friend had suggested trying smoothies from here, because neither of us had ever been and I'm so glad we did! It's tucked behind the Main Street of Old Town Scottsdale, but such a nice cozy vibe on the inside with grab and go juices, snacks and gluten free muffins and a variety of juices, snacks and smoothies for any craving. We went polar opposites with the Mint Chip and the Strawberry Shortcake and while Strawberry Shortcake won on presentation, both knocked it out of the park with taste. Yum yum yum! I was craving a smoothie like crazy today and Kaleidoscope Juice was the closest smoothie/juice shop to our Airbnb. It's located right in Old Town Scottsdale, and it the bright yellow building on 1st Ave. We all got the Scooter Monkey smoothie and I added cacao nibs to my smoothie, which was a small up-charge but it was worth it! It was delicious! Creamy, tasty, peanut butter and chocolate-y - it was so yummy. It's kept me full for the entire day as well. The interior of Kaleidoscope was really cute and had quite a bit of seating and a cool vibe. We opted to take our smoothies to go, but I would've loved to stay and hang out there! They had some delicious looking protein cookies/bites for sale as well that I'll definitely try the next time I'm back. There was quite a bit of a line, but I ordered online and my order was done before it was supposed to be ready, even though it was on the busier side.
