The food here is amazing! It was my husband and I's first time in Hawaii and we are big foodies. The fish katsu melts in your mouth. The meat jun and kalbi ribs were delicious. We tried a ton of the sides too like the Mac salad, kimchi, bean sprouts, cucumber. The people here were also super welcoming and helpful. Definitely recommend everyone to try this spot! Thank you again!

one of the best plates i had in kaua'i!! The fish hub was spectacular and the bbq was tender! all the sides were delicious !! I recommend calling ahead to order and taking your food to go.

What a wonderful place for great food! We were immediately greeted by a smiling face. Found out she was one of the owners. Wow! An owner who puts in her time and sweat to make sure her restaurant gets the best service. The food was amazing! We ordered a plate of Meat Joon and a Kalena special. The portions were huge! I had 3 meals from that one plate! Loved the taste of everything. The sides were great and also big portions. My favorite was the seaweed salad and mac salad (best i have had...anywhere!). The service was exceptional. Bring cash cuz they do not take credit cards.

Favorite place for some but definitely not for me. The meat jun was waaaay too sweet for my palate. Even with the sauce that's supposed to balance it out. Can't speak on the service or ambiance because I got my food to go and someone else got it for me. I didn't even enjoy the sides and I usually tear those up. Cucumbers were bitter and everything was just meh. I forced myself to eat a good bit because I hate wasting any food.

    Meat jun plate.My favorite!!

I've been coming for years. The food is good. The service changed threw out the years but no complaints about that.Of course the price changed that's not surprising.Sadly the amount of food unfortunately has changed.I'm still going to come here to eat because like I said da food is good.Expect to wait for your food because is that good.

The service was great and the food was delicious! They give more than enough and it's priced reasonably. There are some tables to eat inside and some seats for while you wait. Extra plus of getting to pick your own 4 sides (and they're all super tasty). Definitely will come back again!

Chicken Katsu! Sauce super tasty, owners full of Aloha! Cash only, so stop at atm first, you won't be sorry!!!!!!

Very good food, fish and meats. Sides of Seaweed salad, macaroni salad, pickled radish and cucumbers are so good amongst many side dishes to choose from. A must to visit and eat in Kauai.

Meat Jun is the best, if you're tight on time best to order in advance. The hot n spicy beef soup is pretty fire too.

From the moment you arrive, you know you're in for something special. Complimentary valet parking, breathtaking views of the ocean, beautifully manicured golf course, infinity pools, and even a distant lighthouse create an unforgettable setting before you even sit down. We started with the Lobster Tempura and the Grilled Octopus, and both were excellent. The cocktails were beautifully crafted and the perfect way to begin the evening. For our entrées, we ordered the Kampachi (the first fish on the menu) and the Filet Mignon. After sharing both dishes, my husband and I completely agreed--the fish was the clear winner. It was absolutely outstanding. Every element on the plate complemented the others perfectly, creating one of those dishes you remember long after dinner is over. The filet mignon was very good--perfectly cooked and flavorful--but if we returned, we would order fish again without hesitation. In fact, we'd probably try the other fresh fish option as well (I believe it was Opah). Dessert was the perfect ending to the meal. We enjoyed the warm chocolate cake and the Hawaiian-inspired banana split, both beautifully prepared and delicious. This is the kind of restaurant you choose when you want to celebrate a special occasion or simply treat yourself to an exceptional meal. The combination of stunning scenery, attentive service, creative cocktails, and outstanding cuisine makes it well worth the visit. It's easy to understand why Hualani's has earned such an outstanding reputation. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Kauai, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommended!

If your afternoon turns into a highlight reel after a couple rum tastings, sub in your phone and lock down that reservation before you're left watching from the sidelines. This is our second trip to Kauaʻi, and without a doubt, this has been the best restaurant experience we've had on the island. Every dish we ordered was incredibly flavorful and generously portioned. My fiancé couldn't stop talking about the mussel and shrimp pasta--he said it was the best pasta dish he's ever had. My mom ordered the catch of the day with risotto and said it was the best risotto she's ever tasted. The flavors of the fresh fish and risotto complemented each other perfectly. I had the teriyaki ribs, and I absolutely fell in love with the teriyaki sauce. It had the perfect balance of savory and sweet without being overpowering, making every bite delicious. The owner was one of the sweetest and most hospitable people we've met. She went above and beyond by personally making my mom a custom mocktail, which she absolutely loved. That level of genuine hospitality made our experience even more special. 10/10--we would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Kauaʻi. When we pulled up around 7pm, there was just 1 other party that was there and they were seated outside. There was live music and we asked to be seated right in front of him. Boy, that was a big mistake as the speaker was right there and it was very difficult for me and my wife to carry any kind of conversation. That was mostly my fault and I should have asked to be seated a few tables back. But it was fine as the musician was great the whole night with his soothing voice and relaxing tunes. There were only 2 servers at the time so getting my drink refilled was a little slow. We ordered the fried enoki mushrooms. Not sure where they were going with this dish as enoki mushrooms don't really have any taste to them. Plus it's a little stringy. I thought it was a little oily. Not sure if the oil was hot enough when they fried this, but it was a bit greasy and since it didn't have any taste to it, the tartar sauce pretty much carried the dish. My ribeye, however, was great. It was cooked medium-rare with a lot of mashed potatoes. The peppercorn cream sauce was a nice touch and didn't overshadow the meat. The one thing I would suggest is that the ribeye was on the thin side, so it didn't get that char crispiness that you would be able to get on a thicker steak. Since I asked for it to be medium rare, getting the desired texture would not be possible. I would have liked to be thicker as the bite would be more substantial. I normally associate a thin cut to a cheap or budget steak. Flavor-wise and temp, it was perfect. There was so much mashed potatoes that I ended up leaving half of it on the plate. It's a garlic mash and really tasty. The Osso Buco was tender, fall off the bone. I did, however, find it to be a little too salty though. You also get a lot of Risotto. They do not skimp on portions here. Great find.
