Super unique experience eating sushi from a food truck. The sushi itself is great and was presented beautifully. The fish tasted very fresh and melts in your mouth. I appreciate that they have a covered seating area even though it's outdoors and they provide real dish ware instead of to-go containers. The staff was also extremely nice and funny. Plenty of parking and virtually no wait. Highly recommend! Also nice that you can get shave ice in the same parking lot! read more

This one is nice and light & you can really taste the quality of the fish here. - Crazy ginger roll: very different and great ginger flavor if you like ginger! Came here on a Tuesday evening for dinner, after reading a review on google of someone that said they came here 4 times in their 6 day stay, and we were convinced haha. We got a Kapaa sunrise roll, a pink salmon roll, salmon nigiri, tuna nigiri, and an uni nigiri (only comes with 1 piece). Total was about $70 before tip. Pros: - Pretty fast service! It's a food truck casual vibe where you order and they give you a buzzer. There's picnic tables under awnings near it, and even though it's very outdoors-y and kind of on the side of the road, it's very cute with a wonderful view of the mountains. - Super kind service - DELICIOUS SUSHI. We stopped by Kauai sushi station on our last day on the island for lunch prior to getting on the plane to come back to Oahu. We were looking to try some great sushi and this place had excellent ratings. Ambience is very casual as it's a food truck with covered picnic tables. You order at the window. They give you a pager which beeps when your food is ready, and then you go pick up your food at the window along with chopsticks and small bowls for your shoyu. Fish was fresh, but overall sushi I would say was average which surprised me based on the Yelp reviews. I've had a lot better sushi on Oahu. Prices are expensive. We ordered only a few rolls, and with tax and tip was over $100 and we left hungry. I felt the quality of the fish was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. read more

We took a short vacation to Kauai and went to Kauai Sushi Station for dinner on the first night we were there. The service was pretty quick and the sushi was great! They have a covered area with picknic benches and lights so it was a really nice and casual place to have dinner. We had the salad, softshell crab tempura and Godzilla roll! Everything was good! The softshell crab and shrimp tempura in the sushi was so crunchy and tasty! On our 2nd day, we had sushi at a restaurant and while it was good, we really liked Kauai Sushi Station so .... we ended up going back there two more times before leaving Kauai. One of the workers recognized us on the 3rd visit LOL. She thanked us for coming back and gave us a complimentary Sushi dish. All the workers were so nice! Great friendly atmosphere. People are hanging out and enjoying good sushi. When we go back to Kauai, we'll definitely make a stop (or 2) to Kauai Sushi Station again. mahalo mark read more

Thought to give this Sushi spot a try while I was in Kauai: I had the Soft Shell Tempura Roll and the Pink Salmon Roll which were both great, but not spectacular. They were okay! The area is a lot of tables set up with shades above (not that we needed it) with lighting underneath. Service was helpful with any questions we had, and food came out relatively quick. My partner and I ordered the pink salmon roll, sashimi salad, avo cucumber roll, and a sweet potato roll. The fish quality was nice. My partner enjoyed her sashimi salad noting the dressing really brought things together. The pink salmon was pretty good. Didn't really notice anything from the sear tho the combination of sauces on top was good. My favorite was the sweet potato roll though. Just simple and straight forward, lots of it. Compatriots had also gotten the godzilla, crunchy, softshell crab, and hanalei rolls. For those they really liked the softshell and the hanalei rolls. read more

We tried the following: - Golden Tiger roll - shrimp tempura was veryyyy crispy--the crispiest texture I've ever had. It's actually a bit too crispy for me, but the flavors were nonetheless good, with a very satiating mouthfeel. - Ginger crazy roll - my favorite. Gingery, crunchy, creamy, satiating, and I'm crazy for ittttt. The salmon was very fresh and buttery--wish I had ordered more of that salmon! - Fire dragon roll - okay. We were excited for six months to visit when we landed! We arrived right at 2:30pm. SO WORTH THE WAIT! This is a FOOD TRUCK and it is located across from a Home Depot and across from Costco. Wasn't sure what to order and the friendly employee asked a couple questions regarding what we liked and suggested 3 rolls as a nice variety option. I went with it and all three were delicious. Fresh fish and high quality ingredients. They have an outdoor covered area where you can sit and eat. So a family of chickens walk nearby as we were eating. We ordered the Crazy Ginger roll and spicy tuna roll, plus some nigiri. Everything was very fresh and tasted great. The fresh ginger really comes through in the Crazy Ginger roll. We stopped by for a quick bite after completing another to do list item and ordered a california roll and spicy tuna roll. Wait time wasn't bad (less than 5 minutes), plenty of tables to eat, and plenty of other people there eating. The guy at the cashier was friendly and apparently they hired a new sushi chef James recently. The california roll was good as well as the spicy tuna roll. The fish in the spicy tuna roll was Ono to say the least. The rice wasn't over powering at all so I would give it a thumbs up. Overall experience was nice. Who would expect to get good sushi from a truck, yes very surprising especially being located by a hardware store and Costco. read more

A sushi food truck that's better than soo many restaurants! I came while pregnant so I wasn't able to eat many of the cooked rolls. We tried the Godzilla and the Golden Tiger roll. The golden tiger roll has salmon on top but they offered to cook the salmon for me! So so sweet of them to do that. My husband also had the hamachi nigiri and the Ginger Crazy roll and he said it was very fresh and tasty. Also, the presentation of these rolls are very beautiful as well, I love the flower touch!
