I called Kaltsunas Plumbimg earlier in the week after my daughter's father -in-law found water under the kitchen sink. She needed a new kitchen faucet. Artie Kaltsunas returned my call within 30 minutes, just as reported on this site. He would have come that night, but we did not have the new faucet yet. He quoted a price and told me he would call on Saturday after his 11 a,m, appointment. He followed through exactly as he stated. Because of rust and corrosion, had to spend much more time and effort than usual replacing this faucet. Despite the unforeseen problems, he stuck to his price, when I expected to have to pay more. He is also a very nice guy, very pleasant, like someone you would not mind having as a friend. He left the kitchen very clean. He explained and demonstrated how the new faucet worked, told us what to watch for since this plumbing under the kitchen sink is probably the original. My son woke me up this morning to tell me that the tub faucet that had a leak wouldn't shut off. I freaked out and imagined a horrible seen of the tub overflowing because it drains slow. I messaged a few plumbers and called one and they quoted an outrageous amount for the repair and I noticed that Artie responded to my message within the next 5 minutes (less than 25 minute). I told him the problem he gave me a decent quote and said he could possibly get there today or tomorrow, The next thing I know (5 minutes)he is asking for my address. Called Artie and left message. Returned call 2 minutes later. Had a leak in kitchen ceiling coming from bathroom above. We talked for 5 minutes and Artie thought it might be the faucet on the shower wall since it only leaked when shower was on. Artie came out at the agreed time and confirmed his diagnosis and showed me where the unit was dripping. Had him replace the faucets in both baths since he was here. Had a hot water heater go unexpectedly and reached out to Kaltsunas based on other Yelp reviews. Artie called back within 10 minutes and was able to come by a few hours later to drain the tank so it didn''t cause problems in our basement. He quoted a new water heater and moving a few pipes/gas lines and was able to start the job within 48 hours. He wore a mask the entire time in my home and did a great job with all that was needed. Artie helped with a bathroom remod a while ago. A previously broken pipe and some unfortunately located pipes made the job expand into quite a project. Artie was 1) willing to dive in and tackle the extra work 2) made sure it was done right and 3) went out of his way time-wise to get it done sooner rather than later.
