    Let me first say that I once loved Portland Volvo - I purchased an XC90 and I've had a 92' 940…read moreservice here with no complaints. Jordan was the service advisor and he was great. Always called with updates, gave extremely accurate quotes, and was very friendly. Fast forward to several years later. I brought my 2019 XC90 in for routine service. I ask them to thoroughly check the vehicle for anything that may need to be addressed. Vehicle has had routine oil changes as well as fluids checked and changed as necessary. Etc. Vehicle is well taken care and we are knowledgeable on them as well. We were called back with a quote to fix everything - $8,000 - ??? Really, for a car that is well taken care of and is in the garage when parked as well. I was also disturbed at the fact the staff member laughed while relaying this information. That's very unprofessional. We had them perform $3,500 - Stating we wanted the batteries replaced, brakes - which we told them do but they didn't, oil change, diagnoses and remedy of park assist sensor malfunction. Instead, they added on windshield wipers - which we told them not to do. They also allegedly plugged the tire - with a nail in it - I told them not to fix the tire as I've had the tires replaced at Town Fair and they have a Road Hazard Warranty. Cost $150 to simply diagnose the park assist sensor issue but they didn't fix it. We stated 3-4 times the vehicle had a very annoying screech, which it took numerous attempts for them to fix. Many things were missed and others were done without consent. Service did not relay my requests accurately and the bill was nearly $3,500. My car was returned with batteries that failed their tests. Why would I want a car back without batteries that would work approaching the winter months in New England. Each time you call you get a different service member, and if one handles one job and you get tossed around they pass the buck and just say I wasn't there when you said this or that. It's very poor. You live and die as a team in this type of establishment. Any staff member can see a work order - it really shouldn't matter who handled it yesterday or las Thursday - it seems none of them can effectively communicate anyways. The Service Manager is a disgrace to Volvo and is horrible with customers. She immediately blamed us for all the issues, failing to listen to our complaints, stating she would do nothing for us, and just generally has a sour attitude and is less than welcoming. When a vehicle comes back for a third time - and had to be towed back on our dollar due to work you failed to complete correctly, a customer has the right to be thoroughly upset and enraged. After trying to voice legitimate complaints and asking if they stand by their work, I was threatened and she said she would call police. This is a fantastic way to treat a loyal customer who's spent more than $50k at your shop when you botched this entire service. They took zero accountability and never apologized. Fail. Service Advisor Brian did end of fixing some concerns, but also told me to leave when I was unhappy as well. This was after a battle - should have never been one. He's in a relationship with the Service Manager - So you can clearly tell the odds were not in my favor. Service Advisor ( Brian Richard ) is engaged to the service manager (Kristin Adams.) Feel free to fact check. Don't expect fair dealings with this conflict of interest business configuration. Staff is all for themselves and against the customer. Treated like trash after spending $6,500 in general maintanence repairs. (Not to mention the original purchase of the car as well.) I will never return to this disgrace of an establishment EVER again. Still love Volvo - now hate this dealership. Beware. End Note: Park Assist Service Alert Is still on after the third visit. I give up and will report to the Better Business Bureau.
