    Beefy WILD Ramen
    Kim S.

The broths are delicious with flavor depth. The meats & other food are fresh. Good service & clean interior make for a nice dining experience. Especially great when there is a promo. Tried the Beefy WILD Ramen. The creamy, beefy broth was unique & would order again.

This is solid shabu restaurant. They have lunch specials and different sets to choose from. Had the regular AYCE set for $34.99. Kids under 6 eat free. Lots of different broth options. Went with miso and although it was sweeter and creamier than I'm used to, my 3 year old and I enjoyed it. Of the meat options (wagyu eye round, US ribeye, short rib, and pork belly), short rib was my favorite! Service was great. It was a little hot where we were sitting towards the back, but it was not a big deal.

They have multiple chambered pots for different choices! Nice for groups or if you cant decide which soup base

Service was phenomenal. These servers and cooks work hard, running back and forth. Very attentive. Food was excellent quality, soups were very flavorful. Recommend mising spicy soup base with the miso base. AYCE is totally worth it of you can eat. Only issue, but not a biggy...they charge extra per sauce. Like ponzu, ginger, etc. Still Recommend shabu spot! Very clean friendly and fast

Made reservations on Yelp... arrived earlier than expected and still got seated. Pay attention to the menu and signs posted all around for specials and all their options. Our party of 3 each ordered a hot pot lunch set. Lunch is such a good deal here and actually filling. Kamitoku's broths are delicious and sets them apart - we always return because of their variety of memorable, tasty broths. My picky Dad commented "Excellent" after enjoying his meal and Mega beer. Thank you, again, Kamitoku... we love our lunches here.

Kamitoku Hotpot is one of my top choices for a delicious and great value lunch special! Their hotpot lunch sets are always delicious and well worth the price (usually around $12-15). The sets I've tried before came with either the Beefy Marina or the Sukiyaki broth, and both are great! The Beefy Marina is shoyu-based with a strong garlic flavor, and the Sukiyaki is both sweet and salty, perfect for cooking meat in. (If you aren't interested in the preset specials, I also love the Beefy Yuzu and Beefy Wild broths!) Although the hotpot ingredients in the lunch special are preset and not AYCE, you get a very reasonable portion of fresh meat, vegetables, and ramen noodles. I'd definitely suggest making a reservation if you're interested in trying this restaurant, as it is quite small. Also, possibly because of the restaurant size, there is usually only one server working at a time, meaning service can be a little slow. I personally don't mind though; their servers are always very friendly and patient! Overall, I find Kamitoku to be one of the best value hotpot options in the area, and I'd definitely recommend it!

    Beef katsu teishoku

I tried Kamitoku Japanese Hotpot for the first time today and I wish I ate here sooner! Their lunch teishoku specials are affordable and delicious, and their hot pot menu seems great! We got the Ribeye YAKINIKU Teishoku and the Beef Katsu Teishoku. The Beef Katsu was HUGE, but a little heavy. The Ribeye Yakiniku was full of umami and a marinated in a delicious teri sauce that make the ribeye so flavorful and soft. Vibe: The restaurant has a lot of booths equip with a hot pot burner at each table and has a small bar in the corner that adds to the Japanese restaurant's aesthetic. The server was really nice and working really hard to service all the customers they had. Parking: Market City Shopping Center has a large free parking lot that always has available stalls, although it gets quite busy during lunch and after work hours.

I had a team building dinner here on 10/10/25. We were able to reserve a table for 9 and thankfully we did. They aren't the largest inside, maybe able to seat 9 tables of 4. Since we were a party of 9, we were 3/pot and each had our own brother to cook with. We opted for the $30.00 AYCE dinner option (AYCE meat and broth, not veggies/etc) as the whole table needs to all get the same thing and we might as well! Of the manh choices of broth- I went with the beefy miso to be a little different and was not disappointed. The miso had a great flavor and I did not need the ponzu or any other dipping sauces to complement the ingredients. There were 3 cuts to choose from; Rye Round, Ribeye, and Pork Belly. Each had their own perks and were not skimpy plates each order. The pork belly and the ribeye were definitely favorites of mine and stood out a bit more than the eye round. Also included is a small serving of Napa Cabbage, some Choi Sum, and a serving of Ramen noodles. Overall, I would rate this ayce pretty well if you don't mind the lack of veggies. You can always order extra vegetables on the side (for a little extra) if you need. Overall 9/10, they were quite busy but they took time to make sure our orders were going well and keeping our broth above half way. Highly recommend making reservations ahead of time to ensure you have a seat.

Pick your own set with Ribeye and Seabura broth
    Kris G.

Went for lunch and they had some pretty cheap lunch sets that I wanted to try but played it safe and just ordered the normal "pick your own" set. My friends and I all got the Ribeye $24. I had the Seabura broth at the ramen location so got it here too. Probably one of the cheaper hot pot places with good quality. The meat cuts weren't too thin and portion size was perfect. I was a little disappointed with the variety and portion of veggies that were given.. a small portion of lettuce, two pieces of bok choy and aburage, and a small handful of ramen. We also ordered mushrooms on the side for more veggies. They also initially had a small amount of broth in my friend's pots (not even half filled compared to mines) which quickly depleted fast and started to burn - they refilled it but it took a while and could've been avoided if they filled it more the first time. Despite that, the "pork back fat" broth I got was SO GOOD and gave so much flavor to the meal. I would definitely recommend. Overall, I would come back! Service was slow because there was only one server working the floor but she was super sweet. Parking can get busy and full during peak lunch hours.

Haven't been here for a while because we don't frequent this side too often but we love this hot pot restaurant! The service is always fast and the server is always nice. I received a $5 coupon for my birthday so decided to take advantage of it. Made my reservation on Yelp...yay, so easy! We arrived at noon and were surprised that the restaurant was only half full...it's always been full in the past. Got seated right away and knew what we wanted to order but when viewing the menu, it changed. Regarding the "Luncheon Special-Beef Broth Nabe", didn't see our usual choices Chicken Breast and US Brisket on the menu...they no longer serve this. Also, you don't have a choice of Rice, Ramen or Ube Udon...it only comes with Ramen so if you want rice or udon, they charge you $3 each. I don't care for ramen for hot pot's...by the time I eat all the ramen, it's soggy. Just wondering why they changed the carb choices. We ordered 2 luncheon specials with Pork Belly and Wagyu Eye Round with a side order of rice. I was glad they still had our favorite Sukiyaki broth. Out of all the hot pot places we've been to, their Sukiyaki broth is the best! Food was good but I think the next time, we'll order the Wagyu for both of us. They served nice pieces of Pork Belly but not used to eating it where the fat is still soft and rubbery-looking. I like to fry it until crispy and dip it in a special sauce. Again, service was fast and server was nice. Parking was full so had to park in the back of the bldg. by Ben Franklin. Public restrooms are outside of the restaurant and it also has stairs to go to the parking in back of the bldg.

Finally checked this place off from my list. I had been to their ramen spot in Ward many times, and since they opened the hot pot place I had been wanting to try it. Finally did! A hot pot set with good quality beef, fresh ingredients, delicious broth for lunch for $14.99 including mochi dessert and green tea? You can't beat this. Also their kids menu included rice and fries presented in a cute fire truck, although I'd rather they put karaage chicken instead of sausage in there, so we ordered a separate order of karaage (was just ok). I also ordered their negitoro as a side. The toro itself was blended very well so it's a very smooth texture with good flavor. I was a little surprised that they used Korean seaweed instead of Japanese nori though. The service was friendly. Our server didn't seem to speak English well but he's nice and polite. The place had a very Japanese feel, wooden benches and dividers. It's also cute to have a chalkboard for people to sign their names. The food was overall delicious. For the quality of food, the prices were reasonable too. We would definitely come back if we want some shabu for lunch again!

Finally I have a chance to try this restaurant. I've been reading a lot of positive reviews. Restaurant looks clean but service was just ok. There's only 1 lady working as a server. Her attitude was kinda of unfriendly. Tried their lunch Special at $9.99. You're right! ONLY 9.99 and you can enjoy wagyu beef shabushabu. The quality of the food was unbeatable. The set included veggies, fish cake, Sun noodles and 6oz of wagyu beef. The broth was delicious. Nothing can complain with this price. They have other lunch sets available. I'll come back to try on the future.

Pork belly hot pot lunch set

Love coming to Kamitoku hot pot! Recently went for lunch and then dinner on another night. Lunch set menus are such a good value with meat, veggies and noodles included. My favorite broths are the beefy wild and wild spicy, while my parents really enjoy the sukiyaki broth. Everyone gets their own broth to cook in. The restaurant started offering an all you can eat hot pot menu in December, but everyone at the table must order all you can eat, so we haven't had this yet. The service is friendly.

    Virginia H.

My friend brought me here for lunch and it was delicious! We both had the pork belly lunch set and it hit the spot! A very cute place with delicious broth! It was a perfect meal. I wish I had time to return for dinner and try it again. Definitely recommend it!

We attempted to make reservations, but they were completely booked until the following month. Since we didn't want to miss out, we decided to order their most popular tonkatsu meal to go instead. When we arrived, there were already a lot of people waiting outside. I went in to check on our order, and they let me know it would be another 10-15 minutes. Since it was a hot day, we wandered over to the crystal-themed shop next door while we waited. It had lots of interesting items to browse, although we ended up leaving empty handed. About 15 minutes later our order was ready, and we Ubered back to our hotel, which only took a few minutes. When we opened everything up, the portion felt a bit small for the price. The tonkatsu itself was tender, but for us it didn't quite live up to all the hype. I did appreciate that you can choose clam soup instead of the traditional miso soup, and there are different rice options as well, which is a nice touch. Overall, it was a good meal, but not one that completely wowed us given the price. It's possible the experience would have been different dining in, but with the long waitlist and the hot weather, takeout was the better choice for us.

Not only that, but I have to bring my significant other along to share in the deliciousness! I don't know how I'm just now talking about Marugame Udon. When I first came here, my friend and I decided to give it a try because we saw the longest line and wanted to see what all the hype was about. There was a couple in front of us who said they come here every time they visit Hawaiʻi and that it's a must-do stop on every trip. When you walk in, it's a small place. You can watch a team member washing the noodles and portioning them into bowls right in front of you. Then you choose your bowl size, small or large, and select your broth. After that, you get to choose from a variety of fried items and other à la carte options displayed on a warmer. Seating can be limited because of how busy this place gets. You line up to get your food, pay for it, grab your condiments, utensils, and a cup of water, then find a seat and enjoy. I've already been here twice, and after writing about my experience, I need to make a third visit happen very soon! There are not enough days off in a week to enjoy all of the amazing food on this island, but I'm going to do my best to experience as many places as I can. This place is totally worth the 45-minute commute from Wahiawa.

I've done them all and they are all comfortable. You'll find way more specials at dinner time. The food is really high quality, and super consistent too! The tempura batter is light and airy and you have the option of tempura sauce, tare, or different kinds of salt. They're all really nice!! Great desserts and alcohol selection too!! I highly recommend this place for small and big parties alike!! But make reservations for dinnertime because walk-ins are probably not gonna happen.
