An okay spot for ramen, but with amazing appetizers! Would come back to try their other dishes. + Food: Their ramens were unfortunately a bit disappointing. Broth can be a biiiiit more seasoned, even though it feels heavy. They were light-handed on toppings so it made the whole thing felt unbalanced. Would love more vegetables options like bean sprouts. Great chashu, ajitama, and noodles though. The surprising stars of the show were the appetizers! Their takoyaki and karaage were so good. Both were freshly made, crunchy on the outside while deliciously moist inside. + Ambience: Decent sized restaurant with plenty of parking spaces cause it's in a plaza + Service: Very friendly and attentive staff

We finally tried this place we heard that opened up next to Kahala Mall. If you love ramen, this place is a must-try! What we ordered: The Shoyu, The Spicy, and Karaage. Although the broth was a little oily, everything tasted good, our kids also approved the food! We were greeted and seated right away. We went on a Saturday a little before 5:30pm. It wasn't too busy. The place was really nice and clean and the staff were friendly and frequently checking up on us if we need anything. There is parking located right outside but it's a small parking area. If it's full you may need to park in the lot near Kahala Mall. There are no restrooms inside the restaurant however they will provide you with the key. Overall our experience here was great and would definitely come back here again!

This casual, trendy restaurant is another decent ramen option for the Kahala area. If you're looking for something that everyone can enjoy, this could be a good option. I had the spicy deluxe during this visit and it was good -- generous with their portions and garnishes. I also tried several appetizers. The shrimp won ton and spicy cucumber salad, while presented nice, were okay. But their chicken karaage was memorable -- huge pieces, battered and fried to perfection -- it could be a meal of its own. While this place is still very busy, the staff are quick to get you your food and refill your water.

First time patronizing this restaurant. We were looking for dinner after the kid's basketball game. It's been a few years since we came to this little strip mall, and I was curious about this new business. The bright lights showed the inviting and comfy-looking booths through the windows. The kid decided he'd like to check it out and that's how we ended up dining in. The restaurant was half full and somewhat busy. There were two wait staff, and both young men were friendly and helpful. I got the kid's curry (no age restriction, I asked!) with karaage, the kid got the spicy deluxe, and the hubs got original deluxe. My little bowl of rice and curry came out super fast, then my CapriSun (so cute!), and my crispy three pieces of karaage. The curry has bits of chicken and a mild kick, which was surprising. The original deluxe broth is really rich and has a strong pork flavor. The spicy deluxe though is just chili oil spicy, can't taste much of the broth. The noodles were al dente which we all like. Thumbs up all around! Reasonable prices for the portions and quality of food and flavor. We were impressed by the refreshing wet towels (real, not towelettes) and reusable utensils that were already placed on the table. I like how the napkin (sturdy, not flimsy) is folded to envelope the chopsticks and spoon. Cute crockery and plating too. Good vibes, even the kid commented the staff looked like they're just besties having fun. Will come back if/when in the area. Bathroom is outside, need key to use. The lights were out for the womens bathroom tho. Neither staff can do anything since they're not women so they can't go in to check or something but it's the thought that counts!

The Broth Bar met expectations of really, really good broth. We ate ramen and the noodles were a great compliment to the broth. The gyoza was very garlicky. The waiter was very attentive and immediately sat us a little bit earlier than our reservations. The restaurant looks new, modern decor and chairs, and clean atmosphere.

Lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... Located next to Kahala Mall, The Broth Bar shares the parking lot with businesses such as ShareTea, Hakuyosha Cleaners, McDonald's, and Jersey Mike's. Jayden was our efficient, competent, and knowledgeable server. He gave credit to Aaron who was very thoughtful about filling our water glasses. They both were very polite, observant, and professional! The interior was really nice! I liked the wall of lanterns and the modern, elegant, simple decor. The booth seats were comfortable! I appreciated the good air conditioning and calm environment! I ordered the gyoza and the Original ramen. Both were plated attractively and had delicious flavor. The thin, freshly made noodles were chewy and not mushy! My favorite toppings were the nori, ajitama egg, and elephant ear mushroom slivers. I was pleasantly surprised that the cha siu was tender and seasoned well! This was a wonderful experience and I looked forward to returning!

Congratulations on your grand opening. Welcome to the neighborhood! Very easy to find and lots of free parking. This establishment is clean and tidy with courteous and helpful servers. We ordered the beef tataki, boom boom chicken, and Wonton to share. Our three items were served quickly and presented well. The beef tataki was thinly sliced and seasoned with ponzu. Our preference is to have it a little more on the rare side but otherwise, this was good to try on our first visit. The boom boom chicken was juicy tender strips of chicken. Served cold, this was topped with a tasty dressing and sesame seeds. Paired nicely with fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. Glad we tried it! Last but not least, we shared the Wonton. Broth was rich and flavorful. Noodles were tender and generous. We had a combination of pork and shrimp Wonton, both tasty morsels. While they are still waiting for their liquor license, it is currently BYOB. The dining area is fun with the music at the appropriate level for an enjoyable dine in experience. We will return soon!

Cucumber salad. Fine, but honestly just not worth $6 (basic sliced cucumber)

Broth bar lives up to its name with Rick delicious broths. I wish their noodles were a bit chewier but the ramen are definitely flavorful. The deluxe adds extra of the toppings so we often split that three ways and then add a bunch of the appies/sides. Cucumber salad isn't worth it IMO but the tokoyaki here is great!

Atmosphere: 5/5. Place is clean. Employees are friendly. Not super noisy. Food: 4/5. Spicy Cucumber and the edamame were good. Gyoza not bad. My mom said her curry was on the saltier side. I had the miso ramen. It tasted more garlic-y than miso and the noodles were starting to clump together. I would definitely be back but to try their other food.

Love this brand new location located by share tea at Kahala Mall. Lotsa free parking, great way to reserve your spot through Yelp!, nice servers, clean interior, and of course yummy food! New restaurants where one of the owners came from Onya Ramen on King Street. So you know this place gotta be good! We ordered char sui bowl, miso ramen, Keiki ramen, gyoza, fries, and soy bean. Everything came out quickly! Food so delicious and hot especially wonderful during these colder winter months. The ramen both was full flavored with the seasoned egg that literally melts in your mouth. The char sui bowl was the clear number one winner! Seasoned pork with a slight smokey taste utop piping hot rice with a side of the seasoned egg. Gyoza is handmade and not of the frozen varietal. Keiki bowl is really for a mini adult and the soy sauce ramen is delicious! Prices are fair. So yummy delicious! Support small business and book your reservation through Yelp!

Pretty first rate but it's crowded so come early. Cute and clean with modern minimalist looking dining room. We arrived 10 minutes before opening and there was a line when we left. The noodles were perfectly consistenty but slightly on the thinner side. Charsui was amazing.

A new ramen spot opened up in Kahala and I wanted to try it. They offer ramen, rice bowls, curry and a ton of appetizers. The restaurant has a chic decor with 13 tables and an open kitchen. We decided on the gyoza $8 and spicy tuna w/crispy wonton $9 for our appetizers. For the ramen we got the original deluxe $20 and the original vegan $18. I tried both broths. They were both good. The pork broth in the original was creamy and a bit too salty. The vegan broth had a strong sesame flavor. The deluxe bowl was supposed to come with three piece char siu, but my bowl only had two small pieces. I love my ajitamas and this was cooked perfectly. The spicy ahi was minced and topped with kabayaki sauce. This was good on the huge crispy wonton chips. The gyoza didn't stand out and was ok. They had the best take out containers for the ramen. The ingredients are put on a plastic container that slips on top of the bowl, with the broth on the bottom. That keeps the noodles from soaking in all the broth. Service was good. They refilled the water cups. They also had sealed wet towels on the table to wipe your hands.

We went on day 2 to attempt to get the free bowl (promotion - first 50 customers). Would not recommend this type of promotion. So many angry people, so many issues that they shouldve learned from day 1. Also would make sure your online wait list is turned off during promotion times. Restaurant did a nice clean up of the old Domino's space. But it seemed like their air conditioning did not work properly that day. Really nice chopsticks. Do they re-wrap (the tiny band) them each time? We ordered: - gyoza - filling was kind of skimpy and missing seasoning - spicy shrimp wonton - just a shrimp wrapped in a wrapper with a red sauce. Didnt taste like Sriracha or Kochujang. - cucumbers - was not flavored enough - spicy deluxe ramen - tasty and had a whole egg, 3 char siu, and seaweed (was missing some items from the menu description) - tan tan - tasty but only half an egg and char siu The noodles are home made (per their IG) but taste familiar - like chinese skinny white noodles that we often buy. They were not chewy like other home made noodles are, but that could simply be because they're thin. Broths were good. The spicy broth had a lot of dried shrimp flavor (is that odd?). The char siu was good but small. The appetizers were not that great. Food came out fast. Service was great, especially considering we were there on one of their opening days and people were grouchy from waiting. But for the price (average $20/bowl, and it's not a huge portion), not sure it's worth it.

Egg noodles were well-cooked with nice texture, accompanied by a good-quality slice of uzumaki. The char siu stood out--super moist, likely due to a well-chosen cut that retained tenderness and flavor. The rice component had true wok hei, with strands of what seemed like fish or preserved seafood adding a salty-savory dimension. Topped with egg, green onion, and fish cake. The dumpling was an unexpected highlight. Stuffed with suancai, it brought a mild sourness that worked well against the black vinegar dipping sauce. A surprising and excellent pairing.
