    Seared Salmon Miso

Once again I have to leave a stellar review for Hot Pot Heaven and all its crew! The newest edition to the store itself is the addition of a sushi bar! They now offer all types of sushi Sashimi, Rolls, Nigiri, and Poke/Donburi! Their specials are so amazing! The seared salmon miso was absolutely fantastic!! The sheer freshness of this sashimi with the taste of the miso, fresh tomato, and strip of shiso leaf bring a sweet yet savory flavor profile that tantalized the palette! (So much so I got 3 orders!) and for the price it was greatly affordable! Even the scallop ponzu made me smile while taking a bite! I'd highly recommend the entire sushi menu if I could but I can only comment what I ate for the time being. With the flavors of sushi we then moved to the hotpot itself which as always comes in a vibrant deeply umami broth! Adding fresh ingredients that are readily available in coolers nearby make for a quick cooking experience that helps fill that empty belly and allows you to enjoy your time with family or friends! The restaurant is small but quant! The staff are amazingly attentive and the flavor profile is worth coming back for over and over! More so as we get into the colder days of the year! I highly recommend checking this place out and I'm sure you won't be disappointed! I will be back many MANY times I can assure you! They deserve more attention and business so please spread the work and support this local business!

I love this place! The food is awesome and I love the all the veggies and extras that you can grab from the fridge and the protein selections. The broths are always delicious and the selection of sauces are superb! The service is always quick and friendly and the atmosphere is just right. We tend to go when it's not busy so it's just a nice relaxing place to grab a bite. I always get the kimchee broth which gives me like a real sundubu feel! I also always get the lamb which I don't think you can find at a lot of hotpot places and that's why I love it! However my favorite thing is always the meatballs that you kinda make or portion yourself and the house made shumai! Always a crave worthy place to go. The only downside is that the restrooms are outside and upstairs.

Today I got to try the Hot Pot and it was very tasty. Also, the service was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing food and service! Located in McCully Shopping Center, there was ample parking. I came here with 2 friends and sat down immediately with no reservation. You start by ordering your broth and meats. We got the Thai broth which was delicious! It was acidic and a little sour which made it refreshing and easy to eat. As for meats we tried the ribeye, pork belly, and brisket. Each portion was a decent size. Everything else can be grabbed from the fridges and DIY sauce bar. There was a variety of vegetables and starches with classics like cabbage and unique items like bitter melon. We loved the quail eggs and Korean rice cakes! Such a fun and delicious experience we will definitely be back again!

My first time with hot pot food. The broths were so flavorful and light. And the add ons perfectly enhanced the food. I will definitely be back whenever I'm on the island.

Another fabulous dinner at Hot Pot Heaven! 10 freshly made broth to choose from. Lots of items to cook... everything so fresh and tasty and great service refilling the broths and water. So healthy and yummy!

A long time go-to spot for hot pot. The owner and staff are always so nice and courteous. Very family-friendly and accommodating of our little one. Pretty standard selection of veggies and meats. All the broths are tasty; Canh Chua is my fave. House sauce is a must for dipping. Quick service and pretty affordable. Sure we could spend a little more somewhere else for AYCE but there's nothing like eating at a family owned business where you feel welcomed and never rushed to enjoy your meal.

This was an impromptu visit as we wanted to eat something that was walkable from our Airbnb. This spot had good reviews and I'm one to want vegetables so hotpot is a great way to have it. We ordered the chicken and beef broth and we loved the chicken one. My husband loved the chicken so much he got a refill so he could cook another udon in it. We got two proteins, udon, some fish tofu, shrimp paste, quail eggs, sausage, and bok choy. We loved how you got to choose everything except the main proteins. I loved how you could see the portions and don't have to overorder. We paid around $92 for the two of us which was a little more expensive than I would like but overall the experience was great. The staff were so so friendly and there is a parking lot for you to park. We were staying close so we were able to walk.

Tom yum broth. Yes, we're the type to dump everything at once except for leafy greens.

My viet mom loves this place so it's a big deal. Clean and fridge is always filled. The broth options cater to the southeast Asian palette. Our fave broth is the tum yum. Not too spicy and mellows out when you start putting ingredients in.

This is our favorite unassuming hot pot place on the island! Nothing too fancy, but great tasting food and very reasonable prices! All the broths are great choices, but our favorites are Tom Yum (Thai) broth and Miso. All the veggies and sides are very fresh and well prepared! Shout out to Loc as our server! He really went above and beyond to make sure our large family was well taken care of! Don't forget to get a punch card when you go in!

Hot pot dinner is about the experience of choosing, cooking and conversation. You sit down, code a broth, meats if you like, and all the wonderful add ons. Veggies, noodles, tofu, While we waited for our broth, I chose sauces to dip my food in. You can get as creative as you like, I make a hot sauce and a soy based sauce. I like to slowly add ingredients in so that I am not rushed to eat everything at once. We had a good meal and it was especially good since we have been having a cool spell here. We got in early after making a reservation on the phone. The restaurant is clean and simple. Not a fancy place. Try it. enjoy!

Their broths have a lot more flavor than other chain hot pot places. My favorite is the Thai broth! They have a large assortment of vegetables and ingredients to add to your hot pot. Only this is that it can get a little pricey because everything is ala cart. Expect to spend $40-$50/person if you're coming in hungry. Totally worth it on some occasions! They also offer take out sets if you want to enjoy hot pot in the comfort of your own home!

Their beef brisket noodle was one of my all-time favorites compared to other locations, because they are generous with the amount of brisket they give you and they use egg noodles by default. Their soup was okay, but the braised and marinated meat was definitely the highlight of this dish. So the thing about coming to Fun Station is the "suspended flying noodle thingy" which I didn't go for, but if you like Instagramable stuffs, then I supposed you would probably go for that flying-noodle dish. As for me, I mainly came to try their Minute Chicken Cake Noodles, and as a bonus......... I actually got a 20% discount thanks to my friend - Jennifer C. who let a Bruddah know about da DEALAGES in da Sunday food section newspaper, as they had a coupon! The Sunday morning when I came with my friend, I can clearly see that this restaurant was thriving, as every table in the restaurant was taken. Fun Station specializes in noodles, but if you're not into that, they do serve other items like - soups, vegetable dishes, rice plates, & porridge (jook). Upon looking over the menu, we ordered the following items - 1. Frrrrrrried Chicken Wings ($9.95) for an appetizer 2. Minute Chicken Cake Noodles ($17.95 - minus da 20% coupon DEALAGES) 3. Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton in soup ($18.95) What can I say about da grub??? Da chicken wings came out hot & crispy. Although they featured only "flats" vs. drums (I like drums), I must say da wings was nicely executed. As for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles.........nicely plated on a fancy smanshy panda plate. The cake noodles weren't drowning in gravy, so the noodles stayed crispy on the dish. I really liked how they did this dish, and would easily come back here to eat it again. My friend had the Beef Brisket Tendon & Won Ton soup. The dish looked good, and there weren't any complaints, so I take it that it was pretty ono! Overall, a very satisfying meal and the service here was on point, as the staff was friendly & very efficient. Easy 5 stars for the Minute Chicken Cake Noodles! Chance 'em!

Then the food starts arriving. We ordered way more than we needed and almost everything impressed me. The chow fun was cooked exactly the way I like it. Chewy, smoky and never overcooked. My only complaint was that it leaned a little saltier than I prefer, but it was still very good. The Hainan chicken was the surprise of the meal. Perfectly tender with an incredible ginger sauce that I'd happily put on just about anything. Even the dishes I normally avoid won me over. I've never been much of a lotus root person, but theirs was crisp, savory and honestly delicious. The wontons were another highlight. Since we skipped the noodles, they generously gave us extra wontons instead, which was a really thoughtful touch. What really pushed this place from good to memorable, though, was the staff. We were there with our two and four year old and they couldn't have been kinder. They brought over little toys to keep the kids occupied, checked on us throughout the meal and made us feel genuinely welcome. None of it felt forced. It was just warm, thoughtful hospitality and that's something I always remember long after I've forgotten exactly what I ate. The bathroom situation isn't ideal, you have to use the one outside the restaurant, but that's really my only complaint beyond the slightly salty chow fun. This isn't the place I'd recommend for date night or a long evening out. It's the kind of neighborhood restaurant you walk into expecting very little, then leave thinking, that was a lot better than it had any right to be. We'll definitely be back.

I was disappointed by the service today, especially because there was less people between 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM when I went. The staff had automatically thrown in green onions and tempura flakes, which was not requested. They were just throwing in things without the usual ask they do. Especially, this hurt most when there was a rude lady staff passing out toppings. My family member had kindly requested for green onions a few times, and mind you again, we did not have a line when we entered in, but this lady snickered and ignored her request. I had to sternly request for green onions which eventually happened. The service should not be this way. This is an amazing restaurant, but the experience was utterly ruined from that service experience.

Once we were seated, though, the food was absolutely worth it. We had the chicken katsu, sizzling miso, minced pork, shrimp and chicken, and a katsu sandwich to go. The chicken katsu was AMAZING and easily the best katsu we had on the island. The sizzling miso was also amazing, and the shrimp and chicken was great. The minced pork was probably our least favorite, but still decent. And the katsu sandwich we took to go was amazing as well. I also really enjoyed the sesame at the table. You grind it yourself and then mix in the sauce, so you get that fresh sesame flavor right before eating. It was a fun little part of the meal and made the whole experience feel more interactive. The only real downside was how cramped the table for two felt once all the dishes, side dishes, sauces, and everything else arrived. There is a lot going on at the table, so there isn't much room to spare. My only real complaint was actually how they handle the waiting area. The space is tiny and was absolutely packed with people waiting to be called. They told us to wait inside, but there was plenty of room outside where people could have waited instead. It would have made the tiny indoor area much less crowded and easier for everyone.

Sometimes I get a side of rice and make a lil porridge with the broth. But you cannot go wrong with anything at Kamitoku. I love this place, so please never go out of business!

Worst "Japanese" or any kind of hotpot I ever had. SERIOUSLY. Wagyu didn't felt wagyu toughest…read morewagyu ever tried ! Ribeye that I honestly doubt it was any close to a ribeye. First batch of short rib was decent. So on my second round ordered three plates and those were seriously bad. After cooking them I could smell a strong Marie's meat smell. Taste was even worse ! I reported this and they switched it and tasted ok... I would say that if you dipped it the ponzu sauce I might not even realized because that would be covered by the sauce. AUCE hotpot that only offers ponzu as complementary and then charges you for green onions , or any other condiment you need for your dipping sauce!!!! That's a first !!!!! In a HOPOT PLaCE !!! But wait story isn't over! As we continue our dinner most of our soup has already evaporated so like a usual hotpot place we requested to refill a bit of the soup base. And it would be $1 each !!!!!!!!! How am I supposed to continue eating if you don't refill the soup base !! They end up adding tap water !!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Worst experience ever. And what's make it even funnier is every time I show my surprise to all their weird rules and stuff she replied with "oh Japanese hot pot is like this HAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAH IF YOU WANT A STORY TO REMEMBER THIS IS A NICE PLACE FOR THAT. Def not for a goood hotpot meal. Definitely not Japanese AT ALL
