This was very delicious and plenty of food for three of us. I got the spicy broth and I think I would have preferred the original. It was a tad too spicy but they gave me more regular broth when my friend asked for me. One thing I loved was how the mushrooms came on a mushroom shaped plate.
There is no parking so we parked at Ala Moana and walked over. The broth was a little too gingery for me and my husband didn't care for the seaweed in the broth. They don't really have a lot to select from. They did have two other broths on their specials board which we didn't see until after we ordered. I definitely regret getting the house seasonings, but again there wasn't much choices for dipping sauces either but it was a bunch of spices. I was a little annoyed that the fish ball said it was filled with roe but when I ate it, it was filled with meat and not roe which is the one thing I really wanted. So that was disappointing. And our total was about $100 for two of us. The staff were great and really nice and checked on us frequently. From the same folks at Honolulu Skewer House, Honolulu Hotpot Hale is a new Chinese hot pot spot near Ala Moana. It's near Ala Moana but not in the mall, so parking can be tricky. Your best bet might be parking at the mall (target side) and walking over. My friend lives nearby so we were able to walk over from her apartment. She has been here a few times and when they started their weekly specials- we made a plan to go together on a Tuesday for their BOGO meat yard. We got their lamb and pork belly-- along with duck feet ( it was my first time trying it, I think it taste like tripe!) and their fish ball with row for our proteins. I will say, I do slightly regret ordering the pork belly, it was very fatty and with the oily soup- it was just very oily. Next time, I'd stick with just the lamb or try out the beef. For veggies we got a few sets: V1 mushroom set, LOVE that it comes in on a cute mushroom plate V2 with cabbage, broccoli, spinach and a Chinese greens V6 with glass noodles V7 frozen tofu If this was an AYCE spot, I def would have ordered more veggies (and probably felt better the next morning). My favorite part of hot pot is all the different veggies, especially mushrooms and cabbage to balance out the oil in the hot pot broth and all the fatty meat. I ordered their Chinese sauerkraut soup base -- I feel like sauerkraut isn't the best way to describe it- it does have that vinegary, almost kimchi like vibe, but more in line with a Tom Yum soup base. Each soup comes individually and is $6-- plus they will refill your soup with base throughout your meal as it boils off. My friend got the spicy broth and says that it's the spiciest hot pot on the island. I will say, that the grills don't have a heat setting - it's either on or off and you can't really adjust it if you think the soup is too hot. For dipping sauce we got their lime vinegar sauce, it's honestly so good would highly recommend! The vibes and atmosphere is honestly where it's at. From the stone limewash walls, plants hanging everywhere and the cute colors of the hot pot grills -- I really love the aesthetic here.

They have weekday specials and we happened to go on Wednesday for their half off wagyu items. Such a good deal! The meat portions are pretty large overall and great for sharing. I got the beef broth and it was pretty good. I definitely liked the vinegar lime sauce! Service was very friendly but a little slow. We only received the wagyu once we were almost done with everything else, including our veggies and rice (and after being told twice it was coming out soon). They also have takeout containers available if you're not able to finish your food or want to take home the broth!

This completely unnecessary smart Alec remark changed the entire dynamic. Not only is the flawed assumption that every customer goes to the bathroom in play, but you are in the customer service business! Idk if I have been here 50-11 times, if I ask, you tell me where the restroom is and keep your smart ass mouth to your self! It's not often that I leave NO TIP, but today was the day...
No wait for dinner time on a Monday night. Flavorful Broth, good amount of spice. Not ayce but a decent amount of meat on the yard plate for about $32 Cool portable Burners, Clean interior, city location with street nearby. No bathroom inside restaurant that I could find but maybe it was somewhere outside. Service was ok, friendly but not super attentive. Only wierd thing was that there was a sign for 15% off bill on Mondays I think but when we inquired about it they said we have to write a review or check in on yelp first and then show the staff before we could get the discount. The sifnoutside didn't mention that part but it was ok.
Came here on a Tuesday night walk-in for the first time. This hot pot place is conveniently located close to the Ala Moana mall, just a walk away. Friendly staff welcomed us and introduced us to how to order. They suggested a special deal of the day: buy 1 and get 1 yard of meat, so we got Prime beef short rib and the Kurobota belly. Still a bit pricey, but loved the presentation of the meat, and we were each given our own heating pots. I tried the Chinese Sauerkraut soup--and it's definitely a relatively new taste for me as a hot pot soup. Slightly spicy, but I loved it! Original beef soup is the other option if you can't decide. The sauces have room for improvement IMO... For veggies, I got the glass noodles and sweet potato noodles (super slippery if you have trouble using chopsticks- grab it with something else, LOL, no one is judging). I recommend it! Plus, you can't miss some scoops of rice (Asian, you know). Shoutouts to the friendly staff, as it always makes a difference. Recommended after a whole day out at the mall or wherever you came from!

Came for lunch on a weekday at the typical lunch time. The restaurant was empty. This was good because service was fast. I was also weary as to why the restaurant wasn't busy during lunchtime. The food and broth was amazing. Everything was fresh. I asked the server why it's so slow when the food is so good. She said some customers or people checking out the restaurant say it's too expensive. It is on the pricier side for hot pot, but again, the vegetables are fresh and the meat is good quality. They are located on Keeaumoku. I walked here, so I'm not sure about parking. You could park at the Ala Moana mall and walk over. Its right across the street! The restaurant is very clean and its got a comfortable vibe. I can't wait to come back!
We were craving hot pot tonight and was tired and Shaboya so we tried Honolulu Hot Pot and was very pleased with the quality of food. Chicken broth was great. We also got a foot long order of the prime beef toro. If u like some fat your thinly sliced beef try this one. All seasonings was delicious and enhanced the beef flavor. Veggies were fresh and crispy. Would highly recommend giving this place a shot. They will surprise your belly.

Honolulu Hotpot Hale is a great choice and nice restaurant when you're looking for a more premium hot pot experience than its all-you-can-eat counterparts. If you come with a big appetite, you might spend more than you would at AYCE, but the meats and vegetables here are very high quality. The broths that we tried were all very tasty - the Chinese Sauerkraut Soup is very unique - definitely sour but not unpleasantly so. The spicy soups have a strong mala flavor that will make your tongue and lips numb, but be careful, the "Hale Medium Spicy Soup" is already pretty spicy, and the "Hale Spicy Soup" is very spicy! Everyone gets their own pot and soup here, so you can order to your own spice level. We got a half yard of the beef toro which was nice and fatty as well as a half yard of the beef shank which was much leaner. Ordering both gave a nice balance between the meats. The seafood and vegetable sets are also well thought out, but you can always order individual items if you don't want everything in the set. There is no sauce bar - your soup comes with a choice of dipping sauce instead. We took my mom here for her birthday and we had a good time. While the food was fresh, we all had a hard time with the burners. I had to keep readjusting the levels, because my broth actually overflowed from the heat. My mom's burner turned off. The canister was out of gas and they had to put a new one in. The broths are $5.99 per person. Two people got the chicken broth, one the sauerkraut and I got the satay. The broths were a bit salty and mine was thick. Maybe that's why it boiled over. We came on a Tuesday and got a good deal. We purchased a yard of short rib $39.99 and got a yard of beef toro for free. It was BOGO free yard of meat mix and match. We shared the S1 seafood with shrimp, fish fillet, abalone and squid $19.99 and the V2 vegetable with cabbage, broccoli, chrysanthemum greens and spinach $9.99. We also got the V6 glass noodles and sweet potato noodles $9.99. I will say that everything was extremely fresh and on point. The food was really good, especially with the sweet sesame dipping sauce. The service was also great. While I really liked this hotpot place, it wasn't my favorite. read more

I think the only decent Chinese style hot pot place on Oahu. Their broths are the most fragrant and flavorful compared to other Chinese hot pot places. They are only opened for dinner and reservations are not necessary unless it's the holidays. read more

Great hotpot experience with fresh vegetables and tofu! The Spicy Sauerkraut Broth was the favorite amongst my dining companion. We also enjoyed the sweet sesame dip as well as the lime vinegar dip. A must visit when you are in the Ala Moana area! read more

Honolulu Hot Pot Hale is located on Keeaumoku Street in the Pacific Guardian Tower. The restaurant is easy to find right next to the Verizon store. I wanted to try this place for a while. I enjoy eating hot pot and since it's been so cold in Hawaii lately, I thought this would be the perfect time to try it. I'm not sure if we came here on an off night, but I don't see the hype. The service was on the slower side, we had to flag down staff a couple of times to order, get water, etc. The food is rather expensive and not very impressive. I guess people just really enjoy the presentation when the meat comes out on a yard stick? But honestly if you replated the meat on a round place it would be just the same as anywhere else. Original Beef Soup w/ dipping sauce ($5.99) Bowl of Rice ($2.99) New Zealand Lamb (Half/$21.99) Prime Beef Toro (Half/$17.99) V2 ($9.99) This includes baby cabbage, broccoli, chrysanthemum greens, and spinach. V3 ($12.99) This includes dried bean curd strips, dried tofu stick and fried tofu. I personally was not a fan of their vegetable's selection/combinations. I wish they offered a combination with a little of everything. Like yeah, I want a few mushrooms, but not like an entire tray with 4 different types. After receiving our order, we flagged down the waiter to ask for some tongs because we were doing family style. He looked at us confused and said they don't have tongs (which I think it just crazy they didn't have tongs for customers to use). So instead, we asked for additional chopsticks. Overall, the food was alright, it wasn't amazing or spectacular. Definitely not worth the price in my opinion. read more

The food was incredible. My family all enjoys spicy food and we all ordered the spicy the server warned us that the spicy was next level and recommended the medium spicy (this was the correct decision). We had the pork belly and the toro, both were incredible! The service was outstanding, I actually got the boiling hot broth on myself, the staff was immediately cleaning up my mess, provided me with ice for the potential burn, and replaced my entire bowl free of charge. The ambiance was excellent, the restaurant is small but the tables are separated well so you don't hear other tables conversations over yours. The staff is always present if you need anything and the music was great. The food and the service coupled for an unforgettable and delicious experience, we will absolutely be coming back the next time we are on the island. read more

The broth was so flavorful. I got the golden chicken broth and had no complaints. We came on a Tuesday where they had buy one get one free meats. The meat came out on a large paddle, super aesthetics for the photos. Large portion for a good price! The handmade noodles were my favorite part, 10/10. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Again, came on a Tuesday so it wasn't that crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was super helpful the whole time and answered all our questions. We love hot pot, spice and this place!! Our go tos: lamb (super fresh and satisfying meat choice), vegetable assortment (the one with broccoli and cabbage, cause it soaks up the broth so well), rice, and a schezuan spice (cause they might just refill when you say how much you *love love love* the sauce!) and sesame sauce (but totally curious about their other sauces so might try something new next time). I normally get the soup soup (but always forget which one I get, so writing it down so that I try a new one next time!) and my husband goes for the medium spicy soup (though I secretly want him to get the hotter one, just to see just how hot it is, hahaha). read more
After seeing HHH featured on social media, I was immediately drawn to their Chinese Sauerkraut (酸菜) pot. The one-yard-long meat tray is also quite a visual spectacle. I went with two friends, and each of us had a small portable stove with a propane canister in front of us. However, once the pot was placed on the stove, it was a bit too high for comfortable dining. Naturally, I ordered the Chinese Sauerkraut soup base for my pot, but it wasn't quite what I expected. In Chinese cuisine, Sauerkraut (酸菜) can be prepared in various ways. At HHH, it was made with fermented mustard greens, which are typically used for stir-fry dishes rather than as a hotpot base. I had assumed it would be made with fermented cabbage, as is common in northern China. This was a bit disappointing, but not a deal-breaker. The cost was on the higher side, but given its proximity to Ala Moana, that's to be expected. read more

We came for the weekly special and got two types of meat on gigantic paddle called yards. The meat was delicious and I also enjoyed the beef soup I ordered. The waiter was attentive and asked us multiple times if we wanted refills of water or broth. They were nice enough to let my friends and I stay for a bit and talk stories, even after we finished our meal. Overall our experience was very pleasant and we'll be back :) read more

So glad I stumbled upon this hot pot gem! I think this place is owned by the same owner as the Honolulu Skewer House, which is also an amazing wats in Honolulu. Service was fast and efficient. Our server was nice and our food came in time. We got the full lamb and the been toro; omg the lamb was amazingggg and I highly recommend getting the handmade noodles as well. We ate so much but I didn't feel greasy full, which is a plus. So glad I found my new hot pot gem and I'll be coming back read more

Service here is excellent! We got the tomato and Chinese sauerkraut soup which were really good. I really enjoyed the seafood set because it comes with different types of fish balls and roes. As for parking, I suggest parking in Ala Moana and walking as it is right across of target. We will definitely come back again since they have special discounts throughout the weekday. read more

I will not recommend this place after 8pm and also they close in two hours and they start to running out supplies. I was here @7:30pm and I have to wait for half an hour for the table and then they tell you that they running out the good beef, udon, fish ball, and whatever you want they just tell you don't have it. I can tell you that this place is not a good place to eat and they don't tell you before you sit down that they running out of supplies. So you can choose to stand or leave. This is the worse place that I have been to. The workers they give you attitude and impatient. read more

Delicious food and great portions. We got sauerkraut, tomato, and original beef broths. The yard stick meat is huge and can easily feed 2+ each. Come for the BOGO Tuesday special! read more

Do they sell beer or BYOB or do they sell booze?
They had Kona but there was not a large alcohol selection. One of the other tables brought champagne and wine with them, but I would recommend BYOB!
Do they have all you can eat?
No. This place has QUALITY FOOD. Any all u can eat restaurant is not quality food.
Do u serve ur soup noodle during dinner or is it only for lunch time?
It’s for lunch only.
Does this place have a restroom?
The rest rooms are in the building right outside of the restaurant.
