Unfortunately I had to remove 2 stars due to the terrible customer service I experienced today. Unlike my previous 2 experiences, this time there was an older woman that took my order over the phone and was cooking when I arrived to pick it up. I was still greeted by the young lady that handles the register and completed my transaction. When I looked inside the bag I noticed the packaging was different. This time it was a small Chinese box instead of the bowl I got the previous times. All I wanted to know was if this was considered the same pint size as the bowl so I asked the young lady in the same calm manner that I had been talking to her in. While im talking to her the older woman was standing nearby and yells at me that this is the small size. I was already getting that information from the young lady, I didn't need her interfering or yelling. Nor did she apologize about it. I appreciated the young lady for showing me the box comparisons, especially if I may have wanted to order the larger one in the future. But I doubt I'll be returning with that woman being around. She definitely shifted the environment with her rude impatience. It is absolutely ok for paying customers to inquire and ask questions and for businesses to provide answers. Meh. The have bad customer service. I was on the phone ordering and while asking her how long it would be, she cut me off and said five minutes. I kinda brushed it off because it was around lunchtime and figured hey they're busy, no prob. I get there and the service is even worse. Service is big for me. There was only one other person in there waiting, but the girl behind the counter rushed me. She had THE worst sourpuss attitude. Kept rolling her eyes and obviously hated her job. I don't know what her problem was. The only way I can explain the service of this restaurant is that they *know* the customers love the food, they *know* customers will come back, they *know* they be busy around lunch, so service doesn't matter. They're not doing me a favor by taking my six dollars lol. I'd rather pay more for respect and decency. I haven't even talked about the food yet lol I got general tso's chicken after reading another review. I saw the buffet when I came and that looked good as well. My food was ok. It reminded me of good mall chinese food. It wasn't the best at all. I've had much better at Hunan Wok, Mr. Chens, and Fortune (and better service too. Ok I'm done). The price is cheaper than all of the above, but you get what you pay for. I may or may not go back to try the sweet and sour chicken. I don't know. But this place is not even on my top ten. Fast, cheap Chinese food to go. Same menu as Best Wok. Better than what you would get at a Chinese buffet and usually ready in 5-10 minutes. We always have left overs from the combination dinner plates. read more

This is my favorite place to get General Tsos from. I like the sweet, super thick kind of sauce - other places around here have much thinner sauce and weird chicken. Their shrimp egg rolls are really good too. Not a huge fan of their cheese wontons or the dumplings but I care more about the main dish being good tbh. They also have some good soups. I've always had good service. I think there is a bit of a language barrier but they chat with me a bit when I come in for pick up. They are always busy so they probably do not have time to get your life story every time you come in! ;) read more

It would receive 5 stars except for two complaints. 1- The fried food is always to greasy and 2- the lady behind the counter seems a little bit not so happy you're there to place an order. Kam Loon is a lot of food for a little money. I've never actually eaten in the restaurant because it's always hot in there, but take-out is consistently delicious. I always have enough for two/three meals. You can get their buffet during lunch hours or order off the menu. I prefer ordering off the menu, since it's made fresh. Their sesame chicken is SO good, as well as their sweet and sour chicken. I've never had a bad experience with Kam Loon's food and I refer it to anyone looking for a good, cheap eat! read more

This restaurant is one of my favorite places in Ridgeland Mississippi. I'm from Louisiana and a lot of our Asian food is quite fantastic compared to many places I've been to, especially in Jackson and Madison Mississippi. There wasn't much food since I've been here before, a lot of it just wasn't cooked and well seasoned, so I wanted to try this Chinese restaurant and had low hopes until I was able to start watching them cook the food! I thought ok this seems nice. When I took the food home and tried it I was so happy and felt satisfied with my choice. The food is well seasoned and cooked for a take out place and I enjoyed every bit of my meal. The place is clean and the people are very nice. I would recommend this place to anyone in Louisiana or anywhere because it's definitely something to eat when there seems to be nothing else!! read more

Upon entering I had to speak first. The cashier/owner did not make me feel as if my business even mattered. The rest of the crew was in the back eating around prepped food. I watched cashier take the next customers order then proceed to grab my order of chicken with her bare hands after taking cash. I asked her to please wash her hands before handling my food. She looked at me with a horrible stare then rinsed her. She went to the back and started to speak in her native language, the the other people that were eating, I assume about me. Very bad service and not very good food. I visited the restaurant to place a carry-out order. The lady at the counter was not very friendly. I charged it to her having a bad day, or maybe I had interrupted their family dinner; as a group of people were sitting in the back at the table eating. A portion of the order (wings) were not cooked well so I decided to return them. When I returned and asked for the food to be re-cooked or for a refund, I was told no. The woman at the counter was very rude. A man came from the back and told me the same thing. They began to talk to each other in their native language and said 'no return'. Long story short, when I took a picture of the food the lady followed me outside, with a young girl that was translating for her. She stood in front of me and my car and communicated to me to give her me phone. This was absolutely senseless. She was in my face and personal space. I thought that I would have to call the authorities. They were very disrespectful. I don't usually make comments, but had to share this with the community. We can not continue to support businesses that do not promote customer satisfaction and good service. This is not the way we treat people who are paying money for your food and services. This was a horrible experience and I will no longer support this establishment. read more
