Kelly is so awesome. She's very organized and has her protocols all worked out. She understands what dogs and their guardians need to feel comfortable in a home away from home. She'll first have a meet and greet to assess your dog's temperament and readiness for day care. She requires up to date documents for vaccinations. I realized in my research that a lot of the day cares for pets just have them penned up for most of the day which my dog would find boring and sad, but at Kelly's Kamp they are mingling in a pack, running and playing on the dog friendly grounds, and have access to her as their surrogate human which is what most of our dogs need. She also provides loads of pictures on the daycare's social media page so you know they are safely enjoying their day and you can have peace of mind. My dog came home tired and happy! read more

I have to agree with all the other 5 star reviewers about KAMP KELLY--this place is a real find. Kelly is a true dog whisperer. My dog can be a little bit quirky but Paco took to Kelly right away. He loved the "kamp" too--complete with tunnels, grass, vegetation--lots of space to run around and explore. We can't thank Kelly enough for taking such good care of our Chewy. We have never left him with anyone and if you can't take your furry kid on your vacation then Kamp Kelly is the next best thing. Kelly worked with us 3 weeks prior to get Chewy used to her camp so he would not be so anxious. She helped us in plan for all contingencies. Chewy has experienced both her daycare and boarding. Having both available has been a blessing. He had great fun meeting & playing with other dogs his own size, exploring all the camp's hidden areas and picking out his own comfy spot to sleep in from many different options. Kelly takes lots of amazing photos with an artistic flare. She shares them with us daily and on social media while we were away so we could see how he was doing. My dogs get excited to go to Kamp Kelly! For them it's like an extended stay at a dog park. They get to interact w other dogs of similar size and good temperament. And Kelly herself makes sure they have a great time... acting herself as the pack leader. The dogs love and respond well to that interaction. The facility is truly dog heaven! So much to do! We have been leaving our dog (Roo) for stays at Kamp Kelly for the last 3 years and feel very fortunate to be able to do so. Kelly is a crazy dog-lover who has effectively given over and converted her home into a boutique dog hotel with multiple indoor and outdoor spaces that the dogs can explore and play freely, along with a bunch of comfy beds for when they're exhausted from a long day chasing each other. She's constantly updating and upgrading to maintain and improve the spaces. Kelly seems to be quite discriminating about the dogs she'll accept - insisting that the pack comprise of compatible dogs - in terms of both size and temperament. When we arrive at KK, Roo jumps up to affectionately greet Kelly and then runs straight in to meet the other dogs without looking back. We get frequent texts with pix of the dogs playing and sleeping which is comforting (all the attached pix came from Kelly). The most gratifying thing to see is our little darling dog visibly torn between coming home again with us and staying with Kelly. My dog Eddie joined the pack when he was three months old, and Kelly knew I was very nervous leaving him for the first time. Kamp Kelly is the real deal! I mean this in the most complimentary way: this is not a doggy day care. It really DOES feel like a summer camp for dogs. My wife and I have a new puppy and needed to board her for a few days and were not psyched about it. (Separation anxiety works both ways folks). But at drop-off Kelly gave us the tour of her camp and it immediately clicked -- this is a place designed for dogs to actually ENJOY the day. There's a shallow pool, toys to play with, lots of well-shaded areas to rest, tons of plants, water bowls, dog beds, a cooled indoor areas -- Kelly has clearly designed this entire place with the dogs' experience in mind. And Kelly will keep you posted on how your dog is doing during their stay, which is a big relief. Plus you can take a peek at the instagram whenever to see how the camp is going. We were visiting the area for a week and looking for a day camp/ activity experience for our 4.5 yr old bernedoodle. Kelly was informative and detailed during our phone conversation. She provided information on timing, other dogs that were her "regulars" who would be around with my dog, and the activities she would engage my dog in during day. At the start of the first visit, Kelly gave us a walk through of her "kamp" / house where she hosts the dogs and answered all our questions to our satisfaction.
