Located at the very edge of the Hilton Waikoloa by the beach follow the signs towards "KPC" (or take the tram) past the luau. Make a reservation (either via the hotel or on Open Table) so you can sit outside or inside (which is kind of inside but the entire restaurant is open). If you don't have a reservation you can sit at the bar or outside at the lounge. I recommend checking what time sunset is and making your reservation a little before then because the ocean views here are gorgeous! The food here was outstanding! I highly recommend for the starters: -Passion Fruit Mango Shrimp Ceviche -Island Crab Salad -Scallops "Shaka"-feller" All 3 were 10/10 outstanding! For the main, the best dish was the: Misoyaki Butterfish (Request a spoon since you're going to want to eat every bite of the truffle cream sauce!) The KPC Breads Basket was also delicious with its Ube roll and Sweet Furikake roll complete with honey butter (although the Ube bread at Brown's Beach House is way better) My kids got the macaroni and cheese which was fine but nothing special although it was presented beautifully in a wooden pineapple plate. For dessert the chocolate lava cake was delicious!

Last night we went for the sunset dinner. The hostess sat us outside at a lovely table overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The view is spectacular! Once we took pictures and began to enjoy the looming sunset, we settled in with drinks and appetizers! I had the old fashioned and she had the strawberry mocktail turned cocktail! Again they were very accommodating! The food was good and service and view were excellent! As an appetizer I had soft shelled crab. It came with two crabs and they tasted scrumptious! We also had the bread bowl . Which reminds me I going to eat the last of it now! Delicious! For our main courses we had the seafood Duo (local fish and prawns with rice and broccolini as well as the tumeric chicken breast with rice and carrots! We both thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! I would recommend this restaurant KPC it's definitely worth the money and it's not too expensive at all! My server, Victor was a beast and really looked out for my wife and I. I also added a photo of he and our server from the previous night at Nui, Resty!

This restaurant is located in the Hilton Waikoloa along the beach. It has the perfect view of the sunset every day. The food here is usually good, but for some reason during this visit the ever changing menu falls a little flat. As of this writing April 2024, the appetizers are just OK. I've been coming here twice a year to utilize my AMEX Aspire Hotel Credit Benefit and I'm hoping next bi-yearly appetizer menu is improved. We got a few dishes. The house salad was OK. Nothing special. The seared scallops were a little bland. The New York Strip was very tasty and the Gochujang Pork Chop was good after we realized how to eat it (a lot of different flavors on the plate). The Banana Foster Ala Mode and the Dark Chocolate Triffle were excellent and made for the perfect end of meal closer. The staff was very friendly. They checked on us often, cleared our plates in a timely manner and food came out fast without feeling rushed. This place is on the expensive side. With the my AMEX $200 credit and the daily $36 hotel food credit, my wallet wasn't dented at all. But if you're local, ask about the Kamaaina Discount to save 20%. Overall, if you're on the Big Island, give this place a try.

The zombie apocalypse is here.... at least the wait staff we had might as well be zombies devoid of any enthusiasm. The manager, Denise, although had more personality, didn't seem to care and certainly didn't do anything about it. Finally forced the issue after repeated issues (having to ask for things, bringing out burnt food, etc.). Second server, Linda, was so much better. Request her if you go. Ambiance is great overlooking ocean and great view of sunset. Make reservation and request closest table to beach. Food is mixed... bread service is tasty, salad good, entrees very mixed... lobster great, but burnt shrimp were hard pass, and steak was decent. But you don't exactly come for the food. Price not surprisingly too high.

Kamuela Provision Company (KPC) at Hilton Waikoloa Resort is a restaurant where breathtaking sunset views and excellent hosting outshine the overall dining experience. The prime oceanfront location and open-air design create a serene and romantic ambiance, perfect for a special evening. We had a reservation for later in the evening but were pleasantly surprised when they accommodated us earlier. This allowed us to snag what was arguably the best seat in the house, offering an unobstructed view of the stunning Hawaiian sunset--a memory to cherish. Service: The service was a highlight of the evening. Ariel, our host, was exceptional--knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. He patiently answered our questions about the menu and offered thoughtful recommendations. His warm hospitality elevated our experience despite the mixed quality of the food. Food: While the setting and service were outstanding, the food quality didn't quite match the ambiance. Here's what we ordered: - Chard Salad: Unfortunately, this dish was a letdown, lacking the freshness one would expect at a fine-dining establishment. - Fresh Catch (Hamachi):Ordered twice, the hamachi was overcooked, resulting in a texture that was hard rather than tender and flaky as anticipated. - Sashimi Duo: The star of the evening. This dish, featuring Ahi and Kanpachi paired with radish, ginger, and a good squeeze of finger lime ( caviar like consistency of the lime pearls/pulp), was a true delight. Its thoughtful flavors and presentation highlighted the potential of the kitchen. Final Thoughts: Kamuela Provision Company offers unparalleled views and exceptional service, with Ariel's hosting as a standout feature of our visit. However, the food quality fell short of expectations, particularly given the restaurant's premium pricing. Would we return? The ambiance and service might tempt us for another visit, but we'd hope for an improved culinary experience to truly make it worth the splurge. PS: This review is for a visit from earlier in the year and it somehow slipped out of my reviews that i had to post.

Eat here for the ambiance and service, not the food. The location is great, seating you basically right on the water for a sunset dinner and the service is top notch friendly and attentive. The food is just ok and over priced. You are paying for the location. I ordered the tomahawk steak since the chef would not let me substitute the sides on the porterhouse, and I have to say I was disappointed in the $280 meal. Steak was overcooked, salty, and just not a great quality meat. I would have rather paid that price at a real steakhouse for a dry aged steak. Have 4 stars for the location and service. Food is more like 3 stars.

First the good: The view... completely unobstructed sunset fading into the ocean waves if you time your reservation right. Our server was lovely and attentive to our requests. We enjoyed our Mai Tais and the bartender was even willing to make one Trader Vic's style (the "original" Mai Tai - less sweet without the extra fruit juices). Mahalo to our server Linda and the bartender! The rest: The food was just alright. My husband ordered a steak which was slightly overcooked. I order the lamb which looked amazing and perfectly cooked. But the flavor was just absent despite the grapefruit anglaise enhancement. Unfortunately, to enjoy an unobstructed view, the tables are along the walking path. So our romantic dinner also included 40 of our closest tourist friends watching us eat as they walked by. It is what it is. Overall, we wouldn't go back. But if you're staying at the Hilton without a rental car and want a fancy-ish spot, here you go.

If you're on the Big Island and want to feel like you're dining inside a postcard, Kamuela Provision Company is your go-to. That sunset view? Absolutely breathtaking. The kind that makes you forget your phone password because your brain short-circuited from the beauty. Honestly, if they just sold the view and a cold drink, I'd might come back. But alas, they also sell food. Let's just say it was a bit like watching a hula show on mute--fine, but lacking the magic. Service? Our waiter was very relaxed. So relaxed he forgot one of our dishes entirely, needed nudging on bread and drinks, and delivered the bad news about a missing dessert like we were being broken up with gently. And then charged us for the missing dessert. If my friend Michael were here, he'd declare this a 3.1 for food. Ambience? 5 stars. Prices? 5 stars... like the kind you see flashing before your eyes when you get the bill. Food? Could try harder. Come for the view and maybe lower your culinary expectations just enough to keep the evening golden.

A beautiful setting. We hit sunset perfectly. Our server was amazing. The food was so delicious. We tried the rack of lamb, the filet mignon, the Kona Duo and the pork chop. All were prepared perfectly. The standout to me was the Kona Duo which comes with a Carmel fish sauce that you could literally drink. Dessert was the Ube ice cream cake and bananas Foster.

Kamuela Provision Company is one of the most scenic dining experiences to be found on the island. In the evenings you can watch the sun set on the horizon, followed by gorgeous skies. With our reservation, seating was immediate and the service was pleasant and friendly. The servers were happy to help us with our menu questions and guide us with our choices. We received our drinks quickly. The servers were very attentive. Our dinner was served in a short amount of time. The dinner had the perfect amount of portions and everything was cooked to perfection. The lobster with the asparagus and mashed potatoes was delicious. I highly recommend Kamuela for that special night out on the Big Island.

Most of the nearby restaurants close to our hotel were either closing soon or offered heavier meals, so I was happy to come across Aloha Wine Bar online. Despite the name, it has an interesting food menu in addition to their drinks. We were able to walk over from the hotel and were glad to see a few other customers there without it feeling overly busy, so we were able to sit right away. We ordered a few of drinks, some sushi dishes to share that really hit the spot, and a flatbread pizza to round everything out. The bartender (whose name I unfortunately forgot) was super friendly, and it was clear he enjoyed chatting and engaging with the customers. That always adds to the experience :) If I "had to" complain about anything, it would be that the pizza took quite a while to come out compared to the drinks and other food. That being said, it wasn't a dealbreaker and we didn't mind much since we were not in a rush. We were on vacation, after all. Tbh I'm not sure when we will make it back to Big Island or to this particular area, but if/when we do, I would absolutely consider coming back to try more of their food and drinks. We had a really lovely time here.

We were only $20 short of reaching the $300 spending requirement for the free gifts, which should speak to how frequently we visited and how much money we spent at this store. Despite being repeat customers, every visit was met with the same poor customer service. All of the cashiers who helped us were rude, curt, and could not even acknowledge the smallest greetings. The customer service was so unpleasant that it was not worth the experience. The food is not amazing, the prices are not great, and the only thing this place has is convenience--nothing more to offer. In one instance, I got a burger and a black milk tea with boba. I specifically told the cashier that I wanted boba, but she did not ring it up. When I inquired about the missing boba, a young employee addressed the matter with the cashier. They talked, and I said that if it cost more, I could pay for it. She rang up the boba with zero acknowledgment of her mistake. Nothing came out of her mouth. Complete silence. In another instance, I asked a cashier what the gifts were if we reached $300 in purchases. She did not say a word. She simply reached for a card with images of the gifts and placed it on the opposite side of where I was standing. She said nothing. I asked if those were the gifts, and she said yes. She then pulled out her phone while I looked at the card, and I simply said, "Okay, thank you." These are just a few examples of the many disturbing encounters we had with all of the cashiers. While on vacation in a tourist area, this is not the type of conduct or customer service one expects to experience. It was disturbing, and we dreaded going there despite the convenience.

We planned this evening well in advance, making reservations over a month ago and explicitly noting the milestone celebration. My husband even called ahead of time to confirm, and the staff assured us they would do something special for them. The letdown began right at arrival. The hostess was passive and asked our table, "Who is celebrating their anniversary?" Given that our party consisted of two couples under 40 and my in-laws, it felt incredibly unobservant and careless for a luxury resort host team. Later in the meal, my husband quietly asked our server if anything special was planned for the occasion, only to be told, "No, we don't do that." Beyond a casual, passing verbal acknowledgment, absolutely nothing was done. The only true highlight of the evening was the beautiful view. Our server was friendly, though a bit awkward, but the kitchen and bar execution were highly disappointing: * **The Drinks:** Highly overpriced for the size, lacking in flavor, and tasted noticeably watered down. * **The Pacing:** While thankfully, we were in no rush, it took a tremendous amount of time to receive our appetizers and salads, though the entrees did arrive quickly after. * **The Food:** Every dish was exceptionally expensive, yet the portion sizes were minuscule and entirely flavorless. The Caesar salad, in particular, had a very strange, off-putting flavor profile. * **Dessert:** We ordered the $17 cheesecake, which was absolutely tiny. For a premium dining experience on the coast at a luxury resort, you expect a balance of ambiance, culinary excellence, and attentive service. While Manta has the ambiance down, the food and hospitality were entirely lacking. We left the restaurant hungry, deeply disappointed, and feeling that our family's major milestone deserved a much higher level of care than what we received.

This was hands down the best dinner experience we've had on our trip. We are on day 5 of 7. Their…read moreservice was excellent; they touched the tables just right, gave us the option of still water or sparkling water, they provided the best focaccia bread with flakey salt and olive oil. We sat right by the kitchen and were able to watch them make our dinner. The chef came out and personally spoke to us about our dinner. I got the vegetarian cauliflower dish the adobo sauce was hands down one of the best sauces I've ever had, my husband got the burger medium rare and he said it was perfect and the fries were crispy, my daughter got the kids slider and thought they were delicious (easy could of fed two kiddos with a smaller appetite), my other daughter had the butter noodles which is on the menu but she's super picky and they accommodated her without a blink, for our youngest we got a side of fruit it was amazing fresh fruit with a good variety. At the end another chef came by and asked if our girls would enjoy dessert, we got the mango and coconut lime sorbet. They were so luscious , creamy, and full of flavor. We sat "inside" it was an open concept with no doors or window to the restaurant. The kitchen had screens to keep the bugs out. There was gentle music playing in the background. Most places we've been the music has been so loud we can't hear each other or think. It was right on the ocean so we got to listen to the ocean waves and watch them crash on the shore. If I could give them more stars I would.

The fish and the cowboy ribeye steak were amazing. These grilled oysters and shrimps are highly recommended apps. We also had some steak tacos but I forgot to take a pic. It's pricey but the food was the best at the fine dining level.

My Chardy was cool and refreshing and competitively priced for a decent sized glass. Cocktails and mocktails were hand made from scratch and looked and smelled amazing. Looking around at the delicious artisanal charcuterie boards folks were indulging in made me want to come back, and after looking at the wine lounge website I realized Thursday date night for a board n 2 glasses for $55 is the perfect time. Or maybe for their bingo, or happy hour? Maybe all 3...lol. Seriously impressed by this wine lounge which is as mature as their wines, with bold notes from musicians, fruity from the Burlesque after shows, plus perfect pairings charcuterie.

We came for Happy Hour but we didn't get a Happy Hour Menu, just the regular menu and also limited food menu due to a Pre Fixe Dinner Menu that was running tonight. I'd love to try the Happy Hour next time! My friend and I ordered the Flights of the month which include 4 samples for $25. Definitely worth it if you're a first timer. Ours was Bubbles and Big Reds! I loved the Ostro from Italy with apple notes and my friend loved the Michael David from California with Blackberry and Vanilla notes. We shared the Mixed Charcuterie which really was the best of both worlds, meat and cheese wise! There was an assortment of cubed cheese, Brie and another Whipped Cheese on the side, some Marcona almonds (that's definitely a favorite now! It tastes like cashews and are more round) that was soaked in Olive oil, Fig Jam, Honey, Grapes, Cornichons (the cutest pickles), Olive Tapenade, Olives, Prosciutto, Salami, Dried Apricot, Side of Ciabatta bread and some Rosemary Crackers! We could've shared Half of a Charcuterie board for the 2 of us. This full board can feed 3-5 people unless you're super hungry. My friend enjoyed the Lady and the Scamp more than me. I love mustard but the Dijon aioli was a bit too strong for me. Ambiance is wonderful especially after a long work week! Great to treat yourself once in awhile. I brought a sweater but it wasn't cold so it was nice to enjoy our time catching up with each other on a comfy velvet couch in the corner in a warm atmosphere.
