Definitely would get the ceviche double New York strip was cooked great, we asked for medium rare but came out more on the medium side, still a spectrum lol, still super yummy . The duck fat potatoes are great and the broccolini was my favorite side . Chocolate decadence was a super heavy thick cake and wasn't too sweet, just super chocolatey as you'd expect. The views alone for this spot are 5-Star quality. Add in the food and drinks and it's a perfect combination for a great dinner. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures of the food. I was too busy getting photos of the view and eating. But luckily, the view is incredible. We had a really great time here. I went with the NY Strip and my wife had the scallops. Both were incredible and the steak was not only cooked perfectly but had a good seasoning to it. It was great! The area around the restaurant is great too. The resort has so many things to do/see. We were able to park and walk around before dinner reservation. Since we didn't stay at the Hilton, we didn't venture too much but they had a dolphin experience there that we wanted to take note of for next time we visit. There's a serious cat problem at this restaurant. Stray cats were under tables, roamed around the restaurant, inside and out. We also watched a man and his small son, trying to feed the cats some of their own dinner, not from their table but in the middle of the walkway buy the tables of other patrons and where the wait staff were walking around to serve guests. Not only is this unsanitary but it's not a safe environment for employees and it takes away from the dining experience. If this is a cat restaurant, then that should be included up front as a warning to guests. The view from the restaurant is incredible, especially sunset. Our dinner was probably one of the best meals anyone would find in this area. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I would have easily given this place 5 stars sans cats. read more

While we came here at night, this restaurant is perched right along the shore and I'm sure would offer a fantastic view for a super romantic sunset dinner. Located at the very edge of the Hilton Waikoloa by the beach follow the signs towards "KPC" (or take the tram) past the luau. Make a reservation (either via the hotel or on Open Table) so you can sit outside or inside (which is kind of inside but the entire restaurant is open). If you don't have a reservation you can sit at the bar or outside at the lounge. I recommend checking what time sunset is and making your reservation a little before then because the ocean views here are gorgeous! The food here was outstanding! I highly recommend for the starters: -Passion Fruit Mango Shrimp Ceviche -Island Crab Salad -Scallops "Shaka"-feller" All 3 were 10/10 outstanding! For the main, the best dish was the: Misoyaki Butterfish (Request a spoon since you're going to want to eat every bite of the truffle cream sauce!) Last night we went for the sunset dinner. The hostess sat us outside at a lovely table overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The view is spectacular! Once we took pictures and began to enjoy the looming sunset, we settled in with drinks and appetizers! I had the old fashioned and she had the strawberry mocktail turned cocktail! Again they were very accommodating! The food was good and service and view were excellent! As an appetizer I had soft shelled crab. It came with two crabs and they tasted scrumptious! The food was overpriced and mediocre at best. We were a party of 4 and all our food arrived cold ( apparently it had sat out for quite a while before it was brought to our table). The food here is usually good, but for some reason during this visit the ever changing menu falls a little flat. As of this writing April 2024, the appetizers are just OK. I've been coming here twice a year to utilize my AMEX Aspire Hotel Credit Benefit and I'm hoping next bi-yearly appetizer menu is improved. We got a few dishes. The house salad was OK. Nothing special. The seared scallops were a little bland. The New York Strip was very tasty and the Gochujang Pork Chop was good after we realized how to eat it (a lot of different flavors on the plate). The Banana Foster Ala Mode and the Dark Chocolate Triffle were excellent and made for the perfect end of meal closer. The staff was very friendly. They checked on us often, cleared our plates in a timely manner and food came out fast without feeling rushed. This place is on the expensive side. With the my AMEX $200 credit and the daily $36 hotel food credit, my wallet wasn't dented at all. But if you're local, ask about the Kamaaina Discount to save 20%. This restaurant is surviving on the ambiance of being by the ocean at sunset. We had a 7:30 reservation on 7/2/26. They were out of 2 of the 9 entrees (catch of the day and lobster tail). Wife got the special. Seafood on a bed of udon noodles, which somehow included a lobster tail they were supposedly out of. It appeared the seafood was forgotten in the steamer yesterday and plated today. Lobster tail was so overcooked she couldn't even get it out of the shell. The noodles were by far the best part of the dish. I got the ribeye. They claimed it was an excellent cut of steak, but you could have gotten the 1/2" thick ribeye at any grocery store in the Midwest for $25. They covered it in so much sauce I could barely taste the meat, which may have been their objective. If I was the chef I'd be embarrassed to put out that food anywhere, much less at a restaurant like this with these prices. We will definitely not be going back. I've never left a restaurant review before, but this was such a poor attempt for a restaurant of this supposed quality I had to. read more

The food is just ok and over priced. You are paying for the location. I ordered the tomahawk steak since the chef would not let me substitute the sides on the porterhouse, and I have to say I was disappointed in the $280 meal. Steak was overcooked, salty, and just not a great quality meat. I would have rather paid that price at a real steakhouse for a dry aged steak. Have 4 stars for the location and service. First the good: The view... completely unobstructed sunset fading into the ocean waves if you time your reservation right. Our server was lovely and attentive to our requests. We enjoyed our Mai Tais and the bartender was even willing to make one Trader Vic's style (the "original" Mai Tai - less sweet without the extra fruit juices). Mahalo to our server Linda and the bartender! The rest: The food was just alright. My husband ordered a steak which was slightly overcooked. I order the lamb which looked amazing and perfectly cooked. But the flavor was just absent despite the grapefruit anglaise enhancement. Unfortunately, to enjoy an unobstructed view, the tables are along the walking path. So our romantic dinner also included 40 of our closest tourist friends watching us eat as they walked by. KPC is a magnificent high end Hawaiian restaurant that possesses one of the great locals of all time in the Waikoloa Beach Resort area. Set right on oceans edge, KPC offers great food and great views along with top notch service. If you're lucky enough to score a sunset reservation you get to see half naked, tanned and buff loin clothed employees run the parameter and light tiki torches as they blow the conch shell! I have to leave a review for this lovely restaurant in the Waikaloa Hilton for an unusual reason. I came for two nights to celebrate my friends 79th birthday. However, I had not been well a couple days prior and had not been able to eat solid foods for about three days prior to coming. I had hoped that it would've cleared by then and when it hadn't cleared, and I had been eating only saltine crackers, white rice, chicken broth, and applesauce for three days and had lost 10 pounds. I still did not want to give up my precious time with my friend at the wonderful Waikoloa Hilton. Well, by the time this particular night came, I was very weak and starving and also extremely afraid to eat anything because my stomach was so bad. The night before I ate at Nui Italian and asked them for suggestions for a limited diet which they did not have and my stomach did not do so well that night. So when I came to this restaurant, I was thinking I might just end up with white rice and some broth, When I told the waitress about my situation, she immediately went to get the chef who came out and greeted me and discussed my dietary restrictions and my situation, I explained to him all the things that I could eat and all the things that I knew I couldn't eat and he ended up bringing me a wonderful meal that I was so happy to eat after having eaten very little for so many days. (And my stomach was good that night!) My friend who was celebrating his birthday, got the pork chops and an amazing looking apple tart like an apple pie, but baked all around!! both of which he seemed to thoroughly enjoy.
