Upon recognizing that they missed it, they came back with a "this is a common mistake" excuse. There was no sincerity in her tone or explanation. When I objected with the rationale that this is not a common mistake as schools would not employ them, then the manager put me on hold, came back several minutes later with a softer and kinder apology that seemed scripted (AI?) That sudden turn in her tone did not make sense to me. I asked to speak to or get a call back from the owner and then she got angry and her original tone/lack of concern came out. I will be reaching out to their staff again because as a family owned studio, I expected better. I will be informing the school as well.

Being a Big Sur/Monterey local, Adam provided extremely helpful insight and feedback for my proposal. He definitely helped relieve a lot of the stress during the planning phase of my proposal. On the day of the actual shoot, the day-of jitters was overwhelming at times, but Adam's energy and demeanor was very centering. He was patient and gave my new fiancee and I space to calm ourselves, and also knew when to take charge and guide us with our poses. He also had amazing and creative ideas for how to pose and brought us to local, reclusive spots to take intimate photos. For the engagement photos, this was back in November 2023. She was already there when we arrived. Zach and I both felt so awkward and nervous since this was our first photo shoot, but Anna worked her magic and did her best to help us relax for the entire session. She's also a dog person so I was overjoyed that our dog was able to join us in these photos. After we saw the amazing engagement photos, I knew I had to secure her for our wedding day. Her response time is great as well; she will let you know when she is out of town and how long/when to expect a response from her. Our wedding was in mid-July 2024. Anna was there early again to scope out the wedding venue and checked in with both Zach and I the entire event. When I was having trouble walking in my dress, she was quick on her feet to help me. We had a long list of photos we wanted with family and she was able to organize everyone in a timely fashion. But Naveed's seeing Naveed's bright smile after my new fiancé popped the question didn't feel like a weird intrusion -- if anything he felt like an old friend cheering us on. An expert of reading the room... or... hilltop he guided us with a couple casual pose prompts that felt natural and asked us questions for the video he was shooting that we giggled our way through answering. Having him there enhance the entire experience which I previously thought was an impossible contribution And that was before I saw the photos!!! I actually just found him on Instagram and liked what I saw, and reached out to him to book. His pricing is very reasonable for his packages. Toan was amazing to work with! I had a huge Filipino wedding of 240 people (you can imagine this got chaotic for group photos), but Toan was great at moving people along while still staying personable and professional. You can tell he is experienced and also loves what he does. My husband is more on the shy side, and we both don't know how to pose (haha), but Toan made us feel very comfortable the whole day. My cousins were my wedding planners, and they also commented on how easy and awesome Toan was to work with. We had an original plan for group photos outside, but after Toan noted that it was too windy outside, my cousins and Toan improvised and made a great photo spot inside of our cocktail hour area.
