Chicken Kottu- such a generous portion! And delicious- I highly recommend!

OMG, this restaurant has the best Sri Lankan food- Kottu Roti is a national dish. They make it here with chicken, beef or shrimp. I am halfway through the most delicious chicken kottu I have had outside of Sri Lanka! Because I am an American and said easy on the spicy stuff, the lovely proprietor put a lot of the hot stuff on the side- so sweet of her! It is difficult to find Sri Lankan food here and I am so happy! I work nearby so can come all the time! They also serve Italian food, including pizzas.

The food was amazing. Food was excellent. Service was stellar! I would go back! The waiter was so helpful and recommended the kottu roti which I absolutely adored. It was my first time having that.

I came here for lunch, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place looks clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and they have pizza, burgers and other American food but they also have other Sri Lancan dishes. I order the Beef kottu roti and falooda. The service was great and very nice service. They have small plate/snacks like empanadas but they are Sri Lancan snacks/small plates. They also sale Watalappam, it's like a dessert it's sooo good. Kind of like flan taste but different texture.

Was recommended by my daughter so myself and wife decided to go for some lunch today. Found out that every Saturday it has a buffet that starts at 12:30 pm till dinner time. Great Sri Lankan food for a very reasonable price. Spoke with the owner and wife and they are very friendly with a great smile as well. We are recommending this place if you love eating Sri Lankan food.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A cute new restaurant to try Sri Lanka meals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recommend the Falooda , it's so good . The people there are so nice so even if you don't know what the food is they are happy to explain it to you.

Great hospitality, so kind and patient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean space, you can tell they care about this place[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had tea, egg kottu, watalappan, vege roti and tea buns. All were great! The egg kottu was one of the best we had for a long time. Watalapan had authentic Sri Lankan taste and we loved it! We'll visit this place every time we come to LA.

    Kottu rotti. It was delicious!!

I went to this small restaurant and it was delicious. The owner was helpful in explaining the menu and ensuring I chose something that i would enjoy. He was also mindful of accommodating the spicy level. Overall I recommend it and will be returning!

The chicken kottu was definitely two meals. They've got a lot of food options, but the Sri Lankan is worth a try if you're a foodie.

What are the hoppers made out of ? Are they gluten free? I'd love to try all the dishes but need gluten free options. :)

Well, Well, Well…read more... It appears that my 23&Me ancestry composition has been recently updated and as of today, you are now looking at a 7.1%, Pure, Italian Stallion. Yeah, I too always thought I looked like a young Joe Pesci... Ha! Hey, Fugheddaboudit!!!! Hey, hate me for my ways, but blood is blood and I'm going to run with this Italian thing for as long as I can. And just as my "old Italian Nonna" might have said, had I actually had one... "O mangi la minestra o salti la finestra" But being that I am less than 10% actual Italian blooded, and me not actually having a Nonna who would probably just yell crazy things at me in Italian, I'll just stick to the little Italian that I actually know..... The Food!!!! Yeah give me.... A little meatballs slathered in marinara covered in melted provolone... Or Some thinly sliced prosciutto, mortadella, capicola on some crusty Italian bread... Or even... A square of lasagna with Italian sausage, mozzarella, ricotta, Romano cheese served with a chilled San Pellegrino to wash it all down... And you'd be 100%, not 7.1% correct, that I would enthusiastically rep my Italian heritage and proudly wave the colors of my National flag... The Red, The White & The Bl.... Errr, I mean Green! ;) Yes, I can admittedly get behind Italian food any day of the week and I know my "Nonna" would be proud. Well thankfully, you don't have to go all the way back to the Motherland to visit your Nonna and experience the old world eats of a little place called Italia! Cause Cavaretta's Italian Deli has all your Deli needs and wants covered. Yep, a San Fernando Valley staple since 1959, this spot has been and continues to be the place to grab the Best Italian sandwich (according to the Daily News) this side of the Colosseum (according to me, Lance L.). But the cocoa powder on top of the Tiramisu (aka the cherry on top)... This deli has an Italian Grocery shop with everything you need to make your real or made up Nonna proud back in your kitchen. So, forget about waiting around for your 23&Me results to come back and just get your little pasticcino buns over to Cavaretta's and live like the Italiano's do! Ciao Bella!

If your looking for a real sub look no further A friend…read moretold me about Cricca's Deli & being a big fan of Sub's I had to check this place out. Let just start with Cricca's Deli makes some seriously well-crafted sandwiches. The quality really stands out -- generous portions of meat, fresh vegetables, and great attention to detail in every bite. You have several choices of bread, and I went with the soft roll, which tasted bakery-fresh and was the perfect match for the sandwich. The large subs are truly large -- easily big enough to share between two people. If you're looking for a deli sandwich made with fresh ingredients and generous portions, Cricca's is definitely worth a visit. If you in the area or looking for a high quality sandwich you have to check this place out - you will not be disappointed. I'll be back For Sure

Ok. I've seen this place online and thought to myself "if I'm ever in Woodland Hills, I'm going…read morehere". Well.....today was the day. It's a small Italian deli that hits the way you want it to. To the right as soon as you walk in, there's seats and a table where you can wait for your to go order or to eat there. The entire shop was clean, neat and orderly. It's sensory overload walking in. There's a lot going on. The menu is massive. I knew what I wanted after doing some homework before arriving so I was ready. The lady that took my order couldn't have been more of a pleasure to deal with. I placed my order, paid, tipped and sat down. A few minutes later, I had what is probably the best sandwich I've had this year. I should have sat in the parking lot and enjoyed it but I wanted the elbow room because I knew this was a monster. After I got home and unwrapped this behemoth, I instantly knew it was worth the drive. The Dillinger (which is what I ordered) has Pastrami, Meatballs, Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Mozz Cheese, Garlic Butter and Marinara Sauce. If there's a better (big back) sandwich, I'll wait for your reply. This was soooooo gooood. In every bite you could taste each ingredient separately and it was an explosion of flavors. I ordered a small cup of their marinara sauce to dip/drizzle on each bite.....couldn't have been a better decision. Worth it. The 3 ladies that were working the front counter (around noon on 4/23) were the best. Just an all around great experience and fantastic food. I'll be back soon FOR SURE!!!!

You can watch them make the sandwiches in front of you. The ingredients are fresh! Our go to is #10: pork banh mi. Today was the first time we ate it right away! The bread was perfectly toasted and had a nice, crunchy bite. The pork was still warm. The veggies were fresh and crunchy! It hit the spot. So good!! We usually order to eat with friends or pack for a trip, and they hold up well. The price for #10 was $10.25, but on the receipt it said $11.25. plus extra surcharge for credit card. I asked about the higher price, and they said tax. It would have been clearer if they specified tax as a separate line item, but at least now we know.

They have Pho as well as banh mi sandwiches, I got a sandwich during this visit. The #10 grilled pork with mayo and all the veggies, extra jalapeños. Let me just say, perfect, excellent, tasty, yum, etc. great sandwich, packed full of flavor, bread and pork are perfect, really, really love banh mi sandwiches anyway, but this one is true to the classic. All sandwiches are also $10, so go crazy and try a couple different ones, to me nothing beats the grilled pork though. You can enter from the street, but will have to find metered parking, so just drive around back, they have a small free lot and you can enter from the rear. There are not any seats to eat there, so everything is to go, but service is quick and the guy was nice behind the counter. Go check them out, grab a lotto ticket if your into that, get some great food, support a local woman & minority owned business, not enough of them out there. Enjoy!
