We had a wonderful experience at Kaneo and will definitely be back the next time we're in Park City. The hostess, who seated us, was welcoming and accommodating as I preferred to be in a quiet area that was cool (due to the hot day) and had a view. I also asked if they could turn down the music a little since we were the only people in the restaurant at the off hour before dinner, and she said yes. She was lovely and relaxed, which started everything off perfectly. Our server, Kyle, made us feel welcome right away. He was friendly, attentive, and even brought us filtered water from the bar after I mentioned I couldn't drink the tap water because of its chemical taste. That extra effort was very much appreciated. I ordered The Luckiest Lady cocktail, and it was sweet, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. We also shared the flatbread appetizer, which was outstanding. The balsamic reduction was incredible and paired perfectly with the fresh arugula and tomatoes. For our entrée, we had the Kale Power Bowl with shrimp. The shrimp was accidentally left off the dish and didn't arrive until after I had finished eating. Mistakes happen, and once it arrived, it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. We sat upstairs, which had a cozy, quiet atmosphere that we really enjoyed. The only minor drawback was that a beam partially blocked the window view, and the area above it could use a good dusting. Those were very small issues compared to how much we enjoyed the overall experience. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and Kyle helped make the meal especially memorable. We had a fantastic evening and will absolutely return on our next visit to Park City. read more

Started with the hummus and was quite pleased that it came with a healthy portion of veggies. Also comes with pita if that's your jam. For my entree, I went with the chicken souvlaki. We needed a reservation on a weeknight at short notice, and Kaneo had ample availability. We parked at Bob Wells Plaza and were seated immediately. I had the halibut special with a hot toddy, and hubby dug into his short ribs with polenta (generous portion!). The kitchen was fast, the jazz muzak was smooth, and our server was good. Enjoyed a great brunch meal. The restaurant was very busy and we were so happy we had a reservation. Had an attentive staff but very slow food service. The dishes were very good. Highlights were the arugula salad with octopus...the octopus delicious, soft but crunchy on outside. There were vegetarian options (portobello steak and cauliflower). The beet salad consisted of entirely arugula and hard CB chunks of (canned?) beets with a small amount of whipped feta. Cashew sauces were good. The tables are close. Table next to us kept complaining and it took awhile for them to be moved. Had an early dinner with the family at 5:30. The setting is nice, and they have separate seating for families and adults only. Our waiter was super nice and the food came out quickly and was excellent. They even have a really nice kids menu. We had the salmon, beef short rib, kids steak, and kids chicken fingers. All were excellent. The only negative, and reason I am giving four instead of five stars, is they only had one waiter covering the entire floor, who we didn't hear from after we ordered. It felt like it took 15 minutes just to get the check. To be clear, it wasn't his fault as he was running around as fast as possible, he just had to cover way too many tables. Would give zero stars if that were an option. We were visiting Park City from out of town and chose Kaneo for what we thought would be a special one-night dinner on Main Street. Unfortunately, from start to finish, it was a huge disappointment. We made our reservation over the phone. The person who took it booked us for 4:45 pm and required a credit card to guarantee the reservation. We arrived before 4:45 to make sure we were on time, only to find the doors locked and the restaurant completely closed. Kaneo doesn't open until 5:00 pm, so we were forced to stand outside in the cold with two young children, waiting until they decided to let people in. When we finally entered, I asked why we were given a 4:45 reservation for a restaurant that doesn't open until 5:00. No explanation was provided. We were a party of nine and were initially taken to the basement and seated at an eight-top with an extra chair stuck on the end. We asked to be seated somewhere with actual space for nine people and were moved to two four-top tables pushed together (booth on one side, four chairs on the other), which was at least workable. Then came the wine situation. One person in our group ordered a bottle of wine, which was poured into wine glasses on the table, and when my brother-in-law's glass was lifted, it was cracked. Because there could have been broken glass in the cracked wine glass, he understandably asked that the opened bottle be taken away and replaced with a new bottle and a fresh pour in a non-broken glass. The server returned with three options (I only remember two): * a discount on the already opened bottle ($100 instead of $135), or * straining the wine to remove any glass. This was bizarre and honestly odd. As for the food: Apps were just okay. The croquettes were mushy, the octopus carpaccio was underwhelming, and the tomato salad was "meh." The burrata was the best appetizer, but burrata is pretty basic and hard to mess up. Entrees were all "fine" at best and disappointing at worst. Polenta with short rib, pork chop, and halibut were edible but nothing special and definitely not memorable. Two kids ordered steak and fries. One was fine. The other was completely inedible. The cut was terrible, full of silver skin, large chunks of fat, and so bad my daughter had to spit it out, which she has never done before. I couldn't even cut it for her. The two adult steak orders (New York strip) were also awful. Very strange cuts that didn't resemble a proper New York at all, severely undercooked, poor quality, and simply not edible. We sent them back, and the food was so unappetizing that no one even wanted a replacement. We eat out all the time and have truly never experienced anything like this, especially at a restaurant positioning itself at this level. For a one-night dinner in downtown Park City, it was incredibly disappointing. The only bright spot was our waiter, Bruno, who was genuinely kind, thoughtful, and clearly felt bad about the situation. He did his best and we appreciated him. Ultimately, we were not charged for the two adult steaks and one of the child steaks. They explained they couldn't discount alcohol, so they did not charge us for one cocktail. The bill ended up being around $600, instead of $750ish. We tipped more than 20% on the original bill total because Bruno was so wonderful. I never leave reviews, but I felt compelled to write this so other out-of-town visitors don't make the same mistake we did. From the waiting to the food, this was a total miss. Pick another restaurant if you can. There are so many great-looking options on Main Street. We deeply regretted our choice and do not recommend eating here. read more

We stopped here on a Friday night around 6pm during the Kimball Arts Festival, and didn't wait at all. We enjoyed the cool air away from the heat. The exposed brick was a great statement. We ordered Hummas (yum!), Greek Burger (bacon jam was delicious), Branzino fish (light & flaky white fish but lots of bones, well cooked.) and Salmon. The salmon was fair, but the rice was excellent. So we ordered something small just to justify our sitting there. Both choices were excellent. I had the tomato salad, which was amazing and my husband had the "Everything Bagel," which he said was great. We were disappointed, however, that they didn't offer any soups on the menu. The place is beautiful decor-wise and the service was good. It was a bit noisy as its seating array lends itself to large parties and there were a couple of those going on. The charcuterie board is one of the best on Main Street. It was perfectly balanced. The hummus was flavorful and fluffy. The pita and vegetables paired perfectly. The flat bread was also delicious and the combination of the salty and sweet really set it apart. The carbonara left more to be desired and was more of a creamy garlic pasta. A perfect respite from a lot of the more mainstream and touristy spots. As one other Yelper put it "a good lunch spot that wasn't serving up typical burger, friend chicken and greasy fries". I get cravings that are so specific that it just has to be my body telling me I'm deficient in something. I specifically wanted a Kale, quinoa, roasted vegetables and maybe some light protein, like salmon, salad. BOOM! without knowing it we stopped in here because it looked welcoming yet classy. We sat upstairs which is a real treat. Light and airy! I looked at the menu and there it was as if I'd just manifested that. The perfectly balanced salad of all the things I was craving. When manager came to our table, he said he checked the kitchen and it couldn't have been from there, borderline implying I brought my own screw and put into the food but said he'd "take care" of me. When the check came, he just offered a small discount on the linguine but still made us pay for a part of the dish. Insanity. Could have choked on that screw or it would have led to a many thousands dentist bill but accusing a customer that they brought their own screw and not even apologizing is their way of dealing with it. If you care about quality and fresh then you definitely need to stop in. I started off with an incredible Beet & pistachio salad and had a souvlaki dish and then closed it out with their moist & mouthwatering Lemon Olive Oil Cake. My server was Cami I believe who was an absolute gem, very attentive and had the greatest hospitality. The place is gorgeous from the inside out. Fun lunch stop while we were at the Arts Festival! I got a refreshing lemoncello cocktail with gin. I also got the beet salad without cheese and tried the frogs legs!! This restaurant is like wedding food. 2 things were good our waitress and the Bronzino. We got fish soup which wasn't tasty, beet salad (some beets were so hard and some were ok) arugula was tired, mussels was soooo salty. Duck meat tasted like duck liver, sides were horrible and even the duck had a lot of fatty skin. Steak lacked flavor. One vodka martini taste like champagne and one martini was too sweet like juice. Lamb chops were excellent but must have found the smallest lamb on the planet. $16 for a small bowl of the least flavorful mushrooms known to man. Ridiculous prices - small small portions - slow and average service. PC struggles with delivering 4+ star cuisine but this place is over priced by a mile and lacks authenticity or originality. The ambience was great and the drinks were really good but we had one really big issue. I ordered the scallops and so did three of my other friends and one of our friends got these giant scallops and our other 3 scallops were so tiny. It was actually so insulting and embarrassing. The different size in scallops is insane and the fact that it still cost the same amount of money made zero sense- obviously we said something to the waiter and he said he would tell the manager who never came over. They should definitely divide the cost by weight for the scallops because look at the difference in picture. I wouldn't go back here. read more

My parents held my brothers rehearsal dinner and welcome party (on 9/27/24) here and we had the best experience. I was the POC leading up to the event and Krste and Sebastian were incredibly helpful and communicative, even when I threw last minute curve balls at them. The food blew everyone away. It came out hot and tasted excellent. We hosted 43 people for dinner so I wasnt expecting that level for such a big party. I would highly recommend Kaneo for any future events or just for dinner. The food was bland , especially for the price. Service wasn't terrible but Also not attentive. Not a single person in our party thought the food was flavorful. If you aren't limited in options, would recommend going elsewhere unless you do prefer food that doesn't have complex or interesting flavor profile.
