Had a party of 8. We are a very laid back bunch and can generally find good in anything. We keep to ourselves and aren't needy. The atmosphere was nice. The drinks were decent. The food was bland , especially for the price. Service wasn't terrible but Also not attentive. Not a single person in our party thought the food was flavorful. If you aren't limited in options, would recommend going elsewhere unless you do prefer food that doesn't have complex or interesting flavor profile. Walked in for a late lunch and had the grilled cheese-and-shortrib sandwich with fries while my friend had the Greek burger. Both were solidly average dishes. I made a reservation for Sunday night and came back with my family only to find that for the tables upstairs (they have a large seating area on the second floor), nobody under 21 can EAT. (I do understand that in the United States you have to be 21+ to drink). That's a quirk of being in a state run by a religious minority a.k.a. the Mormon Taliban. They did not seat us downstairs (despite seating a party of 4 grown men downstairs while we waited) instead cancelling my reservation -- so we went home and cooked dinner for ourselves. We visited the restaurant while in Park City for a family ski trip. We had our Eagles gear on, and Paul was our server. He used to live in Philadelphia, and shared a bunch of Eagles stories with us. He was very friendly. I'm sure he is super thrilled now that the Eagles went on to win the Superbowl! Paul was also very attentive as was the rest of the staff. My Girlfriend and I are staying in PC for a few days and we were looking for something unique. As we walked down Main Street we came upon Kaneo. It's located in a beautiful historic building. The ambiance is so cozy and relaxing and the professional wait staff were really, really knowledgeable, courteous and attentive. We had fantastic service from Bruno and the rest of the host staff. This restaurant is located on Park City Main Street and we were lucky to have an outdoor seat where we could watch the Arts Festival crowd. We had several good appetizers including the roasted watermelon dish and hummus and baba ganoush. The lamb chops were also very delicious as is the Mediterranean salad. I was in Park City a week ago. A girlfriend and I split off from the group, in search of craft cocktails. After a few disappointing stops or restaurants that didn't offer bar seating, we stumbled upon Kaneo. It was packed, but we were willing to wait for bar seats. The manager, Chris, saw me standing near the bar and asked if he could get us something to drink. We ordered a cocktails while we waited for seats. We didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes. At about the same time, our drinks arrived. They were fantastic and exactly what we were searching for. We had the Italian Job and Purple Rain. Robert, the bartender, is a true mixologist and really knows what he is doing. For the second round, we allowed him to surprise us, and were even more impressed! On to the food...we opted for some apps, so we could try a few things. The mussels, tuna tartare and mezze platter were the perfect accompaniments to our craft cocktails. A busy restaurant is a good indication of the quality of food, drinks and superb service. Highly recommend Kaneo. Do not pass up this Park City gem! read more

Some local friends recommended this for our anniversary dinner, and we are so glad they did. We had a reservation for Sunday evening but it's shoulder season and it wasn't necessary, so we had our choice of where to sit. They have several really nice options that each has its own flavor, but we ended up outdoors to enjoy the weather while we can. Our server Matija could not have been better. Very friendly, knew the menu and wine options well for guidance, was very attentive without being a bother. The rest of the servers and hostess were equally pleasant. Sunday Spritzes ($9) began my evening well. We started with the Mediterranean salad ($16) and loved it. Well balanced flavors and textures- I will be now trying to re-create it at home. I chose the lamb chops ($46) and my husband had the beef short rib ($40). Both entrees and their sides were cooked perfectly and loaded with flavor. I had requested on the rare side of medium rare for my lamb, and it was perfect. The short rib had clearly been marinated for a long time, then braised slowly so had that depth of flavor and texture. Definitely recommend going family style with the all of the options on the menu. The stars of the show were definitely the desserts but highly recommended the meze dishes and salads. I wasn't the biggest fan of the cauliflower entree as I found it a little bit dry and if I came back would reorder the beet salad, the croquettes, and the meze plater. Ordered Ratatouille On the menu it described with heirloom tomatoes and tzatziki but all served aa a 5-6 pieces fried and nothing like the description. The server was clueless. The chef apologized through the server and the 19 dollar meal was gratis. The cocktail special was supposed to be vodka with fresh orange juice and it tasted just like pure orange juice without any alcohol. My group of three came to kaneo for lunch on Monday. We arrived a little after 1:00 pm. There were no other guests. The restaurant was empty other than for our presence. We waited a full 20 minutes before anyone approached us to ask if we would like water. During that 20-minute wait, numerous wait staff walked back and forth by our table, right next to us. Not one of them made eye contact. Not one of them looked at us, turned in our direction, or acknowledged our presence. Finally, after 20 minutes, we were asked about water. We ordered beverages. A full ten minutes then passed. No drink orders. Still no other guests except us. And the same treatment, whereby numerous staff just walked by us and ignored us as if we were invisible. After waiting 20 minutes to be acknowledged and then a further 10 minutes with no beverage order delivered, we got up and left in disgust. I told the hostess we have never been treated so badly, ever. We will not go back. Advise anyone to not bother. Lazy, incompetent, don't-care attitude of the staff. All this when we were the only guests in the place. Appalling and disgraceful treatment in a place that tours itself as upscale and fabulous in the resort town of Park City. I've been going to The Brick/Kaneo for a few years now. The Brick was a great lunch spot when skiing down to Main St and to grab a quick drink. Having had brunch at Kaneo today, it was even better than The Brick. Delicious lamb gyro, tacos and charcuterie plate. I'll see you again for a nice patio lunch or during ski season soon read more

We're only giving you 3 stars because the desserts were out of this world delicious. Without them, you'd be a 2-star restaurant at best. We started our evening with your hostess having a meltdown. She was overwhelmed. Our server was polite but relentless. We had to ask several times for some time to look over the menu but he kept coming back within 60 seconds as if his life depended on turning over our table as quickly as possible. This was super annoying...especially since there were plenty of empty tables on Christmas Eve; also a bad sign. The food was hot or miss. The two fish dishes were solid but the duck was a fatty, greasy, tasteless mess. The beets were ok but the croquettes were funny and lacked seasoning. You guys are really trying.
