I've had so many different hair stylists totally mess up on putting color into my hair and Jen makes me so beautiful every time! I love this hair studio and have been going to them for about 3 years! Their interior design is very inviting and modern. Their COVID measures have been well thought out! They "X" out every other chair to ensure people are socially distancing. Masks are required during the service. Even though the wash bowls are shared they are wiped down and allowed to air dry between customers (chair + bowl)! The number of customers are also limited in the studio. My go to hair girl is Jennifer and she is the queen of fantasy color! She is very knowledgeable and provides you with information on how bleaching and hair coloring works. I have been going to this salon for over a year and definitely love it, I tell everyone about it because I'm very picky w my fine hair and Jen knows how to deal with my hair. When I came to Jen I had been wearing extensions for almost 3 years non stop and my hair needed a break. It went from fine and shapeless to super gorgeous and more full. I have visited before when the business was alkali, but under this new management, Kanvas has a more relaxed feel with super nice, knowledgeable and informative hair stylists. At every step, the stylist (Krystal) told me what she was doing and why. There were no surprise and I absolutely LOVED the outcome. They do everything from children, women, men and everyone in between. While I was there, another stylist did a grandmother, jer daughter, and her child granddaughter. Jennifer H. has done my hair for a couple of years now and she does an amazing job! I've had everything from balayage to a simple haircut and always get so many compliments on my hair. She really listens to what you would like for your hair but is also very realistic about what you can expect from the color, bleaching, etc. Haircuts always grow out well and she is very meticulous about making sure everything is even and looks fantastic! This review is long overdue...I was stranded in Santa Ana during "Flightmare2022" and spent 3 days in a hotel across the street from Kanvass. Since I was stuck, I decided to make an appointment to get my hair done and it turned out to be THE BEST hair color I have every had! CHEYENNE is an amazing and talented artist and a delightful person to spend the afternoon with. I am so thrilled with my hair, I can't tell you how many compliments I still get on it everywhere I go. I have had many color jobs and CHEYENNE, was so skilled and creative, painting and blending 3 colors into my hair for an absolutely beautiful, bright finished look. Krystal has been styling my hair for a few months now. She's a delight! She's very patient and has great Customer Service skills. My hair was a mess the first time I went to see her. She listened to what I wanted and made sure I was comfortable because she knew I was not happy with the other results with the previous stylist. I've been coming to this salon when it was still Alkali Salon. They just recently changed their name. And my go to gal is Jennifer! Trust me she's AMAZING!!! I remember going to another place once and spent 8 hours at the salon. At the end of the day, my hair was dead and dry. With Jennifer, she really takes care of my hair and makes sure it's healthy and beautiful. And I haven't gone anywhere else since. Jennifer is amazing with coloring hair. I've done lilac, pink, gray, balayage, and ombré. And the thing is, even when the color fades, it fades nicely and isn't some ugly color. The other hair stylists are very nice too. I haven't gotten my hair done by other hair stylists but I can see their work while I'm being worked on and they all do amazing work. Sometimes I get inspired for my next color from them haha. If I could give 0 stars I would! First of all it was my first time coming to Jamie and I seen her pictures on ig and it looked very good unfortunately my hair is a disaster. Not only am I left with a color I clearly didn't asked for and also completely opposite from the pictures I showed her!! She went to wash my hair and there was no conditioner!! So my hair was left knotted while she was brushing it out AND while she was washing my hair she left my whole back wet, my mask soaked literally!! Not only that there were pink stains left on my scalp. I had to go home right away and try my best to lighten the magenta to a more lighter pink (which I clearly wanted) She was completely just lazy and the amount of money I paid to have her just fuck up my hair!!
