I contacted Lux Series for on-location bridal services because I wanted a blowout for my wedding. I was told to contact Ellie through social media or email, and explained that I had already done both and had been waiting nearly three weeks for a response. I was assured someone would reach out, and eventually Ellie did. Unfortunately, the communication continued to be extremely slow. I received partial information, followed up with questions, and waited another week for a response. I then asked for the cost of an additional artist because I am on a tight timeline the morning of my wedding. Nearly another week has passed, and I still have not received an answer. At this point, the issue is the lack of professionalism and communication. Bridal services are time-sensitive, and it should not take weeks to answer basic questions about pricing and availability. If they were unavailable or simply not interested in providing the service, I would have completely understood. Instead, this has been dragged out for almost six weeks with long gaps in communication and no clear answer, leaving me unable to confidently move forward despite being "the best in the industry". I booked with Stephanie Gonzales for a tone/gloss appointment, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing due to poor customer service. My appointment was canceled the day of, yet I received no text, email, or notification informing me. In fact, at 7:52 a.m. the morning of my appointment (scheduled for 11:15 a.m.), her team texted me confirming details and letting me know what to expect during the service. So, when I arrived and was told my appointment had been canceled due to "miscommunication," I was very confused. What made this even more frustrating was that nowhere on the booking site or Instagram page does it clearly state that new clients are required to complete an email consultation prior to their appointment. After explaining the cancellation, Stephanie quickly asked me to put my hair down so she could assess it and ultimately said she could still fit me in for the service I booked but that I would have to wait because she was busy. During the time slot I had originally booked, she was servicing another client. The most disappointing part of the experience was how cold and unwelcoming the interaction felt. My hair wash was extremely rough, rough enough that the shampoo bottle was even dropped during the service and the entire appointment felt rushed. There was no effort made to make me feel valued as a client. As someone who also works in the beauty industry, I truly believe client experience and genuinely making an effort to talk to your client is important and part of the job. At one point, while going back and forth between me and the other client, she told the other client, "10 more minutes and I'll be all yours," which only reinforced how much of an inconvenience I felt like during my appointment. To be clear, this review is solely based on the customer service experience, not the quality of her work. I'm not seeking a refund. I'm only sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision and in hopes that this feedback is taken seriously by the salon as it seems I'm not the only one with this experience. read more

I never leave reviews but I honestly have to because I'm so happy with my blowout from Sariah. She was so gentle with my scalp, she cut my hair perfectly just how I wanted it and she revived my hair. I'm not even playing when I say my hair has grown so fast after she touched it. It's surprising because my hair takes months to grow out and I noticed like an inch to 2 inches growth and I just went with her a couple weeks ago. I'm so happy for her expertise and her taking care of my hair. I completely recommend her if you're looking for someone. My hairdresser was unfriendly, and made me feel like I was a hassle as soon as I arrived. She was impatient, I tried showing her photos to explain what I wanted and she quickly dismissed the photos. My bangs are uneven, one side is longer than the other, when I asked her about it at the salon she made me feel like it was the biggest hassle ever, and did not fix it. The nail artist who did my nails was very kind however a day later I am looking at my nails and not completely satisfied. I asked for soft square round nails and my nails are square not rounded edges like I asked. I got a structured manicure however I feel like my nails are thick and like I said too boxy/square making them look fake. They are uneven and not straight and the same size. The vibe of this place was totally off from the get go. I entered and one of the staff members was on the couch on her phone chatting with another employee and I was ignored for a good 3 minutes until she looked up and asked "can I help you?" I let her know I had an appointment and then was taken back. The other nail artist next to me... I learned about all her family drama and life problems during my appointment as did the client she was working on. Price listed for the manicure was $65.00 however wasn't aware of a $10.00 gel removal charge, someone other charges that I was unaware of and ended up paying $100 for this manicure including tip. I fell for the scam. I follow a girl on Instagram that tagged the salon and the stylist and that was the reason I went there and booked Monique specifically. The girl from IG must be getting paid or maybe she gets free services to promote their business because the service I got was so disappointing, overrated and over priced. Even though I made 2 appointments (1 for haircut and 1 for color) the stylist was seeing multiple people at the same time. Before she even got started with me she walked over to the girl sitting next to me to cut/trim her hair without even asking if I mind or apologizing for the delay when she returned to me. When there is color or any product on your hair that requires waiting anyway I would understand; but when there is nothing on my hair yet and I was waiting to get *started* it's very unprofessional. The juggling of multiple clients at the same time resulted in me getting something I didn't ask for. I trusted the process until the very end but after 8 almost 9 hours of being there and $570 later my hair looked nothing (not even similar) to any of the inspo photos I showed her. I scheduled my appointment with Danielle to fix a badly layered haircut I had gotten at a different salon the year prior. I was super nervous about cutting my hair again but Danielle was super communicative and realistic with me about my expectations and the outcome. She cut slowly and with my hair pulled forward so I could see everything that was happening and was very reassuring we'd be able to hide the layers. She did a PHENOMENAL job! Rather than having to make appointments at numerous places for whatever you need, it's so nice to have everything in one place. There may be a large quantity on what services they provide, but LUXSERIES most definitely does not lack on the quality! I came here and got a Gel-X manicure for an upcoming wedding with their nail artist, Van, and absolutely loved them! I had gotten acrylics growing up that destroyed my nails and it took a veryyyy long time for them to grow back healthy. I decided to try Gel-X, since I've heard awesome things about this type of technique, and Van explained to me the whole process. She really took pride in keeping the integrity of my nail healthy, which I appreciated so much. I was so happy to know that I could also keep my natural nails at the length I wanted, with the Gel-X applied on top. I had showed Van some inspo pics on shape/color and she gave me exactly what I wanted and more! Van is so down to earth, which made the experience even more great. One thing I noticed that was so different about Gel-X was how strong my nails felt, but didn't feel heavy or sometimes painful like you'd experience with acrylics! After the wedding I attended, I already knew I would need to trim down my nails for work #sad :'( cuz I wish I could've kept them long!! But I was able to easily schedule an appointment for a nail fix with Jamee. She was so sweet as well and shaped them beautifully, so that I could still keep the Gel-X for work. It's been about 4 weeks since my initial appointment and haven't lost a nail!! Normally with acrylics they would've lifted by this point and I would've lost at least half of them LOL. I scheduled a pregnancy safe hydrafacial with Monique. During the consultation, I informed her that I've had extremely sensitive skin since my pregnancy and my baby shower is this weekend, so she changed the facial and customized it in order to avoid possibly irritating my skin right before the shower. I was sad that I couldn't have the full hydrafacial because I've been looking forward to finally having some self-care before baby arrives, but Monique was so amazing about explaining everything and did not charge for the full hydrafacial despite the last minute change. I appreciate her watching out for my skin and not wanting to introduce new products with active ingredients during a time I'm prone to negative reactions. The facial was so relaxing. I started snoring while under the LED light. Monique explained every step, so I understood what she was doing. I always think extractions are painful, but Monique's extractions were not painful at all. Can't wait til I can finally get the full experience! read more
