Picadera type of place. They have nice plates to pick on like appetizers and empanadas, but not actual entrees. Lobster empanada was tasty. The view is very pretty here! Service was good and friendly.

If you are looking for a place to try empanadas with different seafood fillings and fresh fried fish Kaplash is the place to go! My friend Nat used to go to Kaplash with her family as a child and said they had the best "empanadillas", so we made it a stop on our way to Ponce. There were so many empanada options that I had to order my top 3 picks. I ordered a shrimp one, a lasagna one, and de pizza. There were all good in their way, but the shrimp one was my favorite from Kaplash. Since we were by the sea I wanted fried fish and theirs was amazing! I ordered a side of fries to go with it. My friends wanted sorullos and "cheese balls", they served it all in a cute platter style. The stunning views, kind service, and the food make Kaplash a great stop while in Rincon.

The camarones and pollo empanadillas were so yummy and the best part was munching down on them during sunset. Visit Kaplash for some bomb snacks, a beautiful view, and a casual vibe after the beach!

...every time I come to PR this is a must stop! This place has the best octopus salad I've had. It is fresh. The fritters and empanadillas are tasty. You cannot go wrong with any of their choices. The only "negative" thing I have to say about this last visit is that they did not have any local beer available. But the view is amazing. Eating some flavorful fritanga while watching the West Coast sunset: nothing is more tropical that this!

Great spot for finger foods a drink along with a view!!! Sitting on the patio you have the ocean. Service here is quick and friendly. Recommend getting the octopus salad along with the fish soup! I believe everything on the menu is good. Just came by for quick snack.

My wife and I had a nice visit to Kaplash for lunch recently. This restaurant specializes in Seafood Empanadillas so we had to order a few. I tried the Kaplash and Camarones Empanadillas and they were delicious. Both had soft fresh baked shells which housed their fillings nicely. The Kaplash was a mix of different seafoods including flavorful marinated briny shredded fish and tender octopus. The Camarones was filled with flavorful tender shrimp. We also had Queso Frito as an appetizer. These cheese cubes were warm, rich and soft with a lightly crisp outside.

Great view, small but quaint area, so get some drinks and pastelillos! They specialize in seafood but do have pollo, beef, and other non seafood types. But if seafood is what you like, then this place has plenty to choose from. The dough is delicious on it's own but the filling makes the experience unico! Check it out!

Great place to get pastellios!! I have a great affection for the food. Tonight we ordered to go and the service and food was great!! We came back to our home and the food was hot and fresh. When you come to visit Rincon Kaplash is a must visit it will not disappoint!!

Lunch with sea view. From where you sit, you can look out to the sea without any obstruction. The food is decent. We order: 6oz lobster ($23ish), conch mofungo ($19), small sampler ($16ish) and fish ceviche ($10ish). Lobster is alright, conch is delicious, sampler is filling (cheese is not too great but everything else is fine). The FISH CEVICHE is absolutely yummy. Highly recommend! Total for 2 beers, 1 ceviche, 1 lobster, 1 regular sampler, 1 conch mofungo : $84ish.

This is a great place for drinks and empanadillas (like fried dumplings). The place has great views and a great atmosphere. There's not a lot of parking but that's never been an issue. The perfect spot to rest and grab a bite to eat before entering Rincon (or after leaving it)

For what it is, it's great. Cute little empanadilla/appetizer place right by the ocean, great views! A little disappointed because I got three empanadillas and was still hungry when I left, probably should've ordered more I guess. Service was good but relaxed, don't come here if you're in a rush. Also - stick with the seafood empandillas/appetizers, I made the mistake of getting a skirt steak and cheese one, it wasn't great, but the fish one was pretty good! Overall, I would come back maybe for a small snack or something, but not for a meal.

When the Churrasco Mofongo ($27.99) finally came out, the portion size was surprisingly small and did not reflect the price at all. For nearly $28, I expected a much more substantial serving and better overall value. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I also ordered four pastelitos at $2.99 each, and those ended up providing more food and better value than the $27.99 Churrasco Mofongo. It's hard to justify paying nearly $28 for an entrée when a few appetizers totaling less than half the price leave you feeling like you received more for your money. To make matters worse, the staff was largely inattentive throughout the visit. It was difficult to get anyone's attention, there were no updates regarding the long wait, and customer service felt like an afterthought, only because the question "Can I have an update on my order" was asked to the staff. A 44-minute wait can be understandable during busy times, but keeping customers informed goes a long way, especially when multiple families sat, ate, and left before receiving the order. Overall, despite the churrasco mofongo tasting really good, between the excessive wait time, the lack of attentiveness from staff, and the disappointing portion size, I left feeling that the meal was not worth the price. I hope management takes a closer look at both the service and the value being provided to customers.

The food was absolutely incredible, without a doubt the most flavorful meal we had all week, and honestly one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. Order the chicken... WOW! Every bite was packed with amazing flavor. The service was truly exceptional. One of our servers, Allen, was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. He took the time to talk with us & he didn't seem rushed. The teamwork among the staff was amazing to watch. There was a gentleman constantly walking through the dining room clearing plates the moment we were finished, keeping everything spotless without ever interrupting our meal. Everyone worked together so seamlessly, and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they do. While we waited for our food--which actually came out super fast for PR--our daughters loved spending time down by the beach area. It was the perfect way to keep them entertained while we relaxed. And the view... photos simply don't do it justice. We had no idea just how breathtaking the setting and ambiance would be until we experienced it in person. Breakfast Omelette- was great. I had tomato, onions, no peppers, and bacon. You can choose from adding bacon or ham. Decent but not mind blowing. Pancakes- you get multiple pancakes in the stack. They were nice and fluffy. I did wish there was some more whipped cream on the plate, which are the dollops next to it in my picture. It came with a little plastic container of syrup. Spanish omelette- had like 0 eggs in it, I expected an omelette with potatoes but it was just potatos and tortilla. Not bad just not expected. Appetizers and sides Potatoes- good Mofongo- pretty good. A little dry but I think it maybe is supposed to be like that. Great with the chicken and rice stew. Bean soup- the rice was salted, which I did not know. I put the rice in the soup to tone down the salt, but I accidentally made it even saltier. The only appetizer I would not get again if they continue to salt the rice. Beans and rice- good Lunch and dinner meals Red snapper - good, came with a side of your choice. I chose beans and rice. Rice was good and fluffy. The beans were tasty. The snapper came with a rich sauce and some vegetables. Fish Tacos- very good. I enjoyed this very much with a green local hot sauce that came if you asked for hot sauce. I would get this again if I came back. This was on the bar menu I think. Nachos- came in a big portion. Very large and good. Salad- ok. Rice and chicken stew- good. Tasted very homey and comforting like something grandma would make. There were chicken bones that you have to watch out for though. Pasta primavera- based on googling primavera pasta beforehand, I was expecting a light pasta entree, but this was smothered in butter and cheese, which was very heavy and not at all what I expected. It was tasty though, but very rich. Drinks Strawberry frappe- (non alcoholic version) tasted like an elevated slushie. It tasted like it was made from a strawberry syrup instead of fresh strawberries. Pina colada- (non alcoholic version) a good pina colada.

Sitting right by the water with the waves splashing up at you is epic, especially around sunset. The setting alone feels like it should be an unforgettable dining experience. Unfortunately, the service has consistently been unfriendly and unwelcoming, which really takes away from the atmosphere. The food has been marginal at best--fine, but not memorable, and not quite what you'd expect given the location and potential of the space. It's worth stopping by for the view (and the waves) alone, but I wouldn't come here specifically for the food or service.
